Kovalev's goal was great, basically because Belfour got schooled on puck handling, he really is terrible at it too.

Belfour sucking at puck handling? Have you watched any of his other games?

Yeah, I love the rivalry games, and if the new scheduling can create more rivalries where currently there are not, then it's even better.

I'm expecting in a few years Panthers-Lightning to be a huge rivalry myself, especially thanks to these new rules. No division tops the Northeast though. Boston sports teams traditionally are rivals with Buffalo (Well, Patriots and Bills in the NFL). You have Habs, Sens, and Leafs, all of whom are rivals. Then Boston who are certainly rivals with Montreal and Toronto. It's really awesome.

the new goalie puckhandling rule is probably the only one I disagree with.

and Grapefruit: Hall Gill was shoving Martin Havlat behind the net when Havlat brough up his boot and kicked him in the balls.

If you absolutely have to roshambo a guy, Hal "The Career Killer" Gill is probably the wrong guy.

Yeah, and I don't think he is at all good with puck handling, never seen someones personal opinion before? Belfour is a solid goalie, IMO, but puck handling and breakaways are not where his skills lie

An uneven performance by the Leafs tonight, but good enough for the win. On a whole the Leafs were outperformed from the 2nd period to the start of overtime, but Belfour was good considering. Belak and Berg sucked ass, and Allison seemed off tonight, but the rest of the defensive core carried their weight and Lindros kicked ass as usual.

Belak was not as terrible as you insinuate, of course, but for Belak to have a "decent" game by most of your books, I'm assuming he's going to have to score all the goals himself as well as get both assists on them as well as play net and stop 40 shots. Then maybe he will get some credit.

While he didn't have a good game, and took a couple of bad penalties, he made a few good plays, and had that two-on-one rush with Jason Allison, which is something I've never seen from him before. 'Course, they blew it, but that wasn't necessarily his fault.

Belak has a -4 on the highest scoring team in the NHL. He is usually out of position and looks lost on defense.

If Quinn has to play him then make him a grinding winger but there is no room for Belak there. It's hard to believe that Quinn refuses to let Colo or Kronwall get NHL time when the only defensemen the Leafs have under contract next year is fucking Belak.

Belak is a waste of roster space on a good team and it seems everytime he's on the ice the other team has a scoring chance. At least when I see him, he's usually invisible or taking dumb penalties. Hopefully he slashes somebody on the head again and gets suspended indefinetly.
