WWE NEWS AND NOTES

For those of you who missed it, CM Punk debuted on Heat last night, attacking Val Venis. Due to a sponsorship with Coca Cola, Punk's finisher has been renamed the Punk Plunge.

After a superb outing last week, people were surprised at the mediocre match between Kerwin White and Kid Romeo. People are guessing they didn't click in the match, unlike Kerwin and Tajiri.

Kane is expected to take a few weeks off to heal some minor injuries.

Five big name Independant talents have been signed to trial WWE deals. They are:

Austin Aries

Jack Evans

Jay Lethal

Kevin Steen

Trent Acid

They will continue to work their independant dates until WWE offer them a full-time contract.
