The opening video features a promotional ad for Against All Odds, which will feature high-profile matches such as Jeff Jarrett versus Lance Storm as well as the finals of the X-Division Tournament.

[Christopher Daniels def. Roderick Strong] in a good opening match, which saw Roderick Strong break out some innovative Backbreakers, including one from a reversal of the Angel’s Wings. Christopher Daniels had the last word, however, as he fought off Alex Shelley and nailed the Best Moonsault Ever for the pinfall and the win.

We go backstage to where we see Raven and Sabu sitting in a room facing the camera. Raven chuckles and addresses Rhino, telling him that he will be going up against all odds tomorrow night. He tells Rhino that something has been bothering him and Sabu. Rhino hasn’t been the same since his ECW days and beating guys like Lance Hoyt and Matt Bentley doesn’t mean a thing. He tells Rhino that tomorrow night at Against All Odds, him and Sabu are going to show Rhino the true meaning of monster.

[bobby Roode def. Sonny Siaki] in a decent match, although it was a little short. Siaki put up a good fight, but it all ended as soon as Roode dropped Siaki onto the turnbuckle followed up with a quick Powerslam for the pinfall victory. After the match, Apolo came down and challenged Roode to a match tomorrow night at Against All Odds! Roode grabbed the microphone and accepted before heading to the back.

Larry Zybyszko is backstage arguing with a group of X-Division stars. Matt Bentley steps up and says that none of them have a match tomorrow night. Zybyszko sighs and tells them that tomorrow at Against All Odds, there is going to be an X-Division Over the Top Rope Elimination Match with the winner receiving a title shot of their choice on the following iMPACT! He then announces the participants will be: Sharkboy, Jeff Hardy, Roderick Strong, Elix Skipper, Petey Williams, Matt Bentley, and the loser of tonight’s X-Division Tournament match!

[AJ Styles def. Alex Shelley] in a superb X-Division outing, which saw some excellent chain wrestling mixed with some nice high spots. Alex Shelley appeared to be developing an in-ring persona as he taunted Styles often and played the crowd as if he was the face. The end of the match was tainted as Abyss appeared, despite being barred, and assaulted AJ Styles leading to the DQ finish. Styles managed to roll out before being hit with a Black Hole Slam as Abyss stood in the ring roaring.

Lance Storm is backstage with Shane Douglas. Douglas asks Storm what his plans are after Against All Odds. Storm tells Douglas that he plans on leading TNA throughout 2006 and putting them even deeper on the map than they are. He shoots on the WWE’s style before telling Douglas that it’s all going to begin tomorrow night at Against All Odds!

[Team 3D drew America’s Most Wanted] as The Naturals appeared at ringside and assaulted Team 3D before the match could begin! The Naturals dominated and threw Team 3D into the barriers before rolling them into the ring where America’s Most Wanted demolished them. The Naturals nailed Brother Ray with The Natural Disaster while AMW took out Brother Devon with the Death Sentence!

Team Canada is backstage as Scott D’Amore is praising Roode on his victory. He says that Team Canada is shooting back to the top starting tomorrow night after Petey Williams wins the X-Division Over the Top Rope Elimination Match and gets a shot at the NWA World Title! Roode says he should’ve been in the match, but D’Amore tells Roode he has other things to deal with, like Apolo. Roode nods as Team Canada leaves the scene.

[samoa Joe def. Sonjay Dutt] in a good encounter, although Dutt was dominated with the exception of a few Head-Scissors and DDTs. Dutt managed to make it to the top for the Hindu Press, but Jarrett came walking down with a microphone. Dutt was distracted as Joe nailed a quick Musclebuster for the win and the advancement to Against All Odds! Joe stood in the ring as Jeff Jarrett got in with the microphone.

Jarrett tells them to cut the music because he has more important things to do than watch this crap. He says that he is sick and tired of people coming in and taking his spotlight. He said that before Lance Storm arrived in TNA, it was all about Jeff Jarrett. He announces to Lance Storm that tomorrow night at Against All Odds, he is sending a statement to anybody who wants to make a name for themselves in TNA. That statement is that Jeff Jarrett is the only name in TNA and that’s how it’s going to be for a long, long time!
