WWE Raw Preview for 7/5/04

A special edition of Raw this Monday, the third Raw Clash of the Champions Special. The show will be rocking this Monday with a jam packed card.

The main event is going to be huge this Monday. Eddie Guerrero has been waiting for this moment for quite some time. A chance to win the grandest prize of them all. The World Heavyweight Title. On Raw, Eddie Guerrero collides with the World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle, in the biggest match in the career of Latino Heat. Angle has been a fighting champion, defying the odds before but Eddie Guerrero wants the gold badly.

Two great high flyers, perhaps two of the greatest in WWE history. Rob Van Dam and Shawn Michaels. Last Monday, words and shoves were exchanged during their tag team match with La Resistance and the match was made on Monday. Rob Van Dam collides with Shawn Michaels in what should be a high impact match.

Eric Bischoff is not too pleased with Randy Orton, who failed to get the job done against Eddie Guerrero so Bischoff is forcing Orton to face the man that many men fear to face. That being the Big Red Machine himself, Kane. Orton has taken down many tough men but Kane may just be too much for the Legend Killer.

Also, the Interconinental Title will be at stake. JBL and Rey Misterio Jr have been crossing each other's paths in recent weeks and JBL has made some remarks about how Rey does not deserve to be the Interconinental Champion due to his size. Well this Monday, it's time for JBL to put up or shut up as he faces Misterio one on one in the ring. Rey has vowed to show that he can hang with the big boys this Monday.

Plus Batista takes on Edge, Gail Kim defends her Women's Title against Stacy Keibler, and Tommy Dreamer faces off against Johnny Nitro in a singapore cane on a pole match, due to the fact that Nitro has been costing Dreamer several matches recently as Eric Bischoff's corrupt referee. This card could be on Pay Per View but we are going to give it free on television. The Raw Clash of the Champions III should be a barn burner and then after Raw, the road to Summerslam kicks into high gear.

WWE Preview for Smackdown 7/7/04

Last week, Smackdown came off of an action packed Great American Bash. Many big events happened on that night, but the biggest of them all was Triple H walking out with his nineth World Championship, as he pinned Chris Benoit to capture the WWE Title. The Game will make his first televised apperance of his nineth title reign on Smackdown and his plans coming up for Summerslam on August 15th will beginning to take hold. What plans does the Cerebral Assassin have in store for Smackdown? We will find out this week.

Speaking of the former champion, Chris Benoit will be in this week's Smackdown feature bout. Benoit will be colliding with Christian. Captain Charisma collides with the Rapid Wolverine Machine in a rematch from their classic WWE Title Match about one month ago on this program.

Last week at the Bash, Goldberg defeated Brock Lesnar. Da Man is rocking on Smackdown with a series of big victories and this week on UPN Goldberg will step into the ring to face off against Chavo. Cena will join forces with Booker T this week to face off against The Dudley Boys. Cena and Booker T are definately two strong singles wrestlers but against a world class tag team such as the Dudley Boys, it remains to be seen how well they will fare.

The Weekend Wrestling Wrapup

WWE Velocity 7/10/04: Jamie Noble makes Funaki tap to a Guillotine Choke in ten minutes plus of great Cruiserweight Wrestling, Doug Basham pinned Rico with a Spinebuster off the second rope, and the World's Greatest Tag Team had another great tag team title defense against Akio and Tajiri.

WWE Heat 7/11/04: Mark Jindrak pinned Lance Storm after Garrison Cade tripped up Storm on a suplex, holding his ankles down. Val Venis ran out and a brawl happened involving the teams of Cade and Jindrak and Storm and Venis. Christopher Nowinski pins Mikey Whipwreck with a half nelson backbreaker after Theodore Long distracted Mikey Whipwreck. Nowinski continued to beat on poor Mikey until Tommy Dreamer makes the save, no doubt leading to a Heat Exclusive Feud between the Playas Club(Nowinski and Rodney Mack) against Team ECW(Whipwreck and Dreamer). Trish Stratus pinned Molly Holly after a slingshot sunset flip. Molly battered Trish after the match. Burchill pinned the Godfather in the main event with a double underhook suplex into a bridge after Godfather was distracted when William Regal harassed the hoes. The Blue Bloods beat down the Godfather afterwards until Mark Henry came out and got beat down. [on a side note, the tag team division on Raw seems to be at an all time high with teams such as Cade and Jindrak, Venis and Storm, the Playas Club, Team ECW, The Blue Bloods, Godfather and Mark Henry, The Island Warriors, the FBI, and of course the champions, Batista and JBL.]

WWE Raw Preview for 7/12/04

Raw should once again be a blockbuster as we are a little over a month away from Summerslam on August 15th. The big event, is of course, that the boss himself, Mr. McMahon will be making an apperance on Raw. This situation has gotten Eric Bischoff very unnerved but the reason of why this is happening was brought on by Eric Bischoff having a few other wrestlers interfere in last weeks World Heavyweight Title Match between Eddie Guerrero and Kurt Angle. Eric Bischoff's future as Raw General Manager could very well be in danger, as after many months of corrupt decisions this could be the last straw. No matter what, Mr. McMahon will be at Raw and the fireworks will always go off when that man makes an apperance.

Randy Orton, Legend Killer Extriodinaire and would be World Heavyweight Champion. Orton has made his intentions clear that he has designs on Kurt Angle's World Heavyweight Title, and wants the distinction of the youngest World Heavyweight Champion ever. This Monday on Raw, Orton will join forces with fellow Evolution members JBL and Batista to face Eddie Guerrero, Rey Misterio Jr, and the World Heavyweight Champion himself, Kurt Angle. Rey has been having his problems with Evolution, as has Eddie and now the trio of Eddie, Rey, and Angle will have a chance to right the wrongs of previous weeks in this six man main event tag team match.

Last week, Shawn Michaels scored a victory over Rob Van Dam but he did it in a rather tainted matter. Van Dam is not cool with this and he wants another shot at Shawn Michaels. Eric Bischoff has decided to grant Van Dam his match with Shawn Michaels but has added Edge into the mix to make things a Triple Threat match. Edge has other problems that he needs to watch out for, as Chris Jericho and Edge has had their problems as of late but Jericho is out of action until the end of July with a sprained ankle, so Edge and Jericho cannot settle the score in the ring. This Triple Threat Match should be a good determination of settling the pecking order on Raw.

Kane is not a happy person any day of the week and last week Kane blew through Evolution like a raging tornado. Kane is even becoming too difficult for Raw GM Eric Bischoff to handle, so Bischoff is having Kane face off against the Godfather and Mark Henry in a handicap match. Kane laughed this off when he heard about it and said that he would put the Ho Train off the tracks for good.

Also this Monday, in an odd match, Gail Kim and Victoria will face off against Molly Holly and Trish Stratus. Normally mortal enemies have been put on the same teams and if anyone but Gail Kim scores the pinfall or submission, they receive a Women's Title Shot at Summersla. Raw should be on fire this week with several big matches and the apperance of Mr. McMahon.

Confirmed Matches:

JBL, Batista, and Randy Orton vs Rey Misterio Jr, Eddie Guerrero, and Kurt Angle

Rob Van Dam vs Shawn Michaels vs Edge

Kane vs the Godfather and Mark Henry

Gail Kim and Trish Stratus vs Molly Holly and Victoria(if anyone but Gail Kim scores the pin, they receive a women's title shot at Summerslam)

WWE Smackdown Preview for 7/15/04

Summerslam is exactly a month away and the stars of the blue brand are looking to make their intentions felt as the premier event of the summer slowly comes upon us.

Consider, Triple H, the new WWE Champion, and his business advisor, the recently returned Stephanie McMahon. No doubt they have big plans for Summerslam, seeing that Triple H holds the biggest prize on Smackdown and perhaps the world, the WWE Championship. However, whatever plans they may have could very well in fact be compromised as the Undertaker appears to have his sights set up the WWE Championship once again. Locked up in other issues for the better part of this year, first with Kane and then with Sean O' Haire, the Undertaker has thrown his focus completely towards the WWE Championship and is looking to relieve Triple H of that championship. Triple H does not sweat the Phenom and states that he will add his Undertaker to list of victories in his storied career. It should be noted that Triple H has never scored a victory over the Undertaker in a big time match, as the Undertaker beat the Game at Wrestlemania X-7 and beat Triple H again back at King of the Ring 2002, so Triple H is 0-2 against the Deadman.

The United States Title will be on the line this week on Smackdown. John Cena will have his first title defense against the five time former WCW Champion Booker T. Booker T is looking to add the United States Title to his storied career but the Master of Thuganomics wants to keep what he so recently won. This battle should be one for watch as two of the top guns on Smackdown collide for the United States Title.

The World's Greatest Tag Team have proved that be just that recently. Haas and Benjamin have defended their titles against the best Smackdown has to offer but a new team has stepped up to challenge Shelton and Charlie. That team being the rough and tumble duo of Billy Gunn and Hardcore Holly. Due to the fact that Haas and Benjamin feel that Gunn and Holly are below them, this will be a non title match but if Hardcore and Mr. Ass can beat the World's Greatest Tag Team, that could shoot them directly up the tag team rankings.

Last week, Da Man and The Man Beast crossed paths for the very first time as Rhyno laid out Goldberg. Rhyno resents the fact that Goldberg is the most dangerous man on Smackdown and wants to destroy Goldberg, to put the end to the Goldberg legend once and for all. Speaking of Goldberg, he will be in action this week against Rene Dupree. Goldberg is looking to continue his winning ways on Smackdown.

Also, Ultimo Dragon defends the WWE Cruiserweight Title against Jamie Noble, on this blockbuster addition of Smackdown.

Confirmed Matches:

WWE United States Title Match: Booker T vs John Cena

The World's Greatest Tag Team vs Hardcore Holly and Billy Gunn(Non-Title Match)

Rene Dupree vs Bill Goldberg

WWE Smackdown 7/15/04

Triple H is out in the ring, along with Stephanie McMahon. Triple H says that his first title defense as WWE Champion will be at Summerslam and later tonight, Triple H will be in action. Triple H says that he does not sweat the Undertaker, as the Undertaker has not earned the title shot. Triple H says that the Undertaker will not receive a title shot because he is the Game. Stephanie grabs the microphone and states that all challengers for the champion must be approved by her, as she is Triple H's business advisor. The lights go out and the gong comes on. The Undertaker makes his way down to the ring. Taker gets face to face with Triple H and grabs the microphone, stating that no one has defeated Triple H more times than the Undertaker. Exhibit A is Wrestlemania X-7 where the Undertaker pinned Triple H. Triple H says that's one time and the Undertaker shows another time where he defeated Triple H, Back at King of the Ring 2002. Triple H states that anyone can get lucky but Taker shows two weeks ago, when Taker beats the Game via disqualification. Before Triple H can respond, Brock Lesnar comes out, interuptting the proceedings. Lesnar steps into the ring and states that the Undertaker may have beaten Triple H many times but Lesnar has beaten Taker just as much.

Taker gives Lesnar a cold glare but Lesnar reminds the Dead Man that Lesnar destroyed the Undertaker in Hell in a Cell back at No Mercy 2002, so the Lesnar is better than the Undertaker and thus he should get the title shot. Plus, Lesnar never got a one on one title shot since he lost the belt at Wrestlemania XX. Speaking of Lesnar losing at WM XX, Chris Benoit comes out. Benoit states that he is the former champion, so HE should get the Summerslam title match and he beat Lesnar at WM XX, making him tap to the Crossface. Lesnar gets in Benoit's face and Benoit attacks Lesnar but Lesnar fights back and the Undertaker goes after Lesnar. Triple H and Stephanie slip out in the carnage as a three way brawl between Lesnar, Benoit, and Taker starts, until security comes out.

WWE Raw is War Preview for 7/19/04

Elimination Chamber at Summerslam. Rob Van Dam, Kane, Shawn Michaels, Eddie Guerrero, Randy Orton, and champion Kurt Angle. All colliding in the demonic structure. Vince McMahon made the match last week and this Monday on Raw, all six men will be in singles competition. All Six Men Will Attempt to Beat the Clock and the one with the lowest time will entering Last in Elimination Chamber. The matches that are about to be announced were drawn at random. However, even through a wrestler cannot lose his slot in the elimination chamber by losing, if he loses, he will be ineligible to beat the clock. This is to prevent someone from disqualifying themselves five seconds into a match and beating the clock in that fashion.

We will see, Eddie Guerrero attempt to beat the clock, as he faces off against one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Batista. Batista has no doubt been ordered by Evolution Leader Randy Orton to soften up Guerrero and make sure Eddie does not get that coveted last spot.

Rob Van Dam. Mr. Monday Night. The Whole F'N Show. Rob Van Dam's beat the clock challenge will be against Orlando Jordan. Van Dam wants the one thing that has eluded him badly, the WWE Championship and if he wins the Elimination Chamber, he will be one step closer. Beating the Clock will improve RVD's chances at winning Elimination Chamber.

Kane. Perhaps the Most Dangerous Man on Raw. Kane's match in the Beat the Clock Challenge is against Edge. Edge and Kane have had their differences in the past but Kane should look to put aside his hatred for Edge in an attempt to Beat the Clock. Edge is on course for a Summerslam Match with Chris Jericho but a victory against one of the members of the Chamber Match can put him in line for better thigns.

Shawn Michaels. The Showstopper, the Headliner, the Main Event. Shawn Michaels's challenge will be against Val Venis. Val Venis is a veteran in WWE wars and he is looking to stall HBK's momentum but Shawn Michaels wants the gold back around his waist.

Randy Orton snickered at his opponent for Beat the Clock Challenge Night. Orton's opponent will be fellow Evolution member John Bradshaw Layfield. Orton could not be happier if the final spot in the chamber was gift wrapped to him. A cynical person would say that the drawing was rigged and as Orton appears to be Eric Bischoff's boy as of late, this could very well be the case.

And finally, in perhaps the biggest Beat the Clock Challenge Match yet, a rare match involving the WWE Interconinental Champion against the World Heavyweight Champion. The Champion Kurt Angle drew Rey Misterio Jr's name. Rey has been battered by Evolution in recent weeks but a win over Angle would raise his stock. Angle is already at a disadvantage as the champion but he wants to lessen that somewhat.

Raw should be big with six big, Beat the Clock Challenge Matches.

Confirmed Matches:

Beat the Clock: Eddie Guerrero vs Batista

Beat the Clock: Rob Van Dam vs Orlando Jordan

Beat the Clock: Kane vs Edge

Beat the Clock: Shawn Michaels vs Val Venis

Beat the Clock: Randy Orton vs John Bradshaw Layfield

Beat the Clock: Kurt Angle vs Rey Misterio Jr
