Name that tune

I thought there was a pinned, official topic for this. I didn't see one.

Anyway, it was just on MTV2's NME chart show and I didn't catch the name.

Black, female singer. I picked out a couple of lyrics "We are the ones that seize the day" "We are the ones that lead the way". Anyone know it?

I immediately thought Skunk Anansie, because I saw one of their songs the other day on television. Unfortunately I don't know of any of their music so I'm not much help, other than it could be Skunk Anansie?

Skin's the only black female singer I've ever known to be in a rock band. Ever. And she's British. And she's the one in Skunk Anansie.

Was she bald?

Well it was a new song, so it wasn't Skunk Anansie. I didn't get to see the singer much, but I think she had hair. Didn't really sound like Skin either.
