And Absolution was a huge album, bigger than any of thier albums before. With that, they actually broke through to a lot more of a mainstream audience, and got a bigger following by a long way with it. So of course they are above Second Stage Headliner status. And with new music coming out soon (which is usually a big deal to the fesitval bands/planners), Muse make perfect sense as a second headline slot on one of the days.

Yeah, Absolution got to number one, and they were repeatedly hailed as one of the best live acts around at the time. I'm not a big fan, but they deserve the main stage.
