[44/37/52]Vince has a few things to say..
  • Vince McMahon starts out by announcing that at WrestleMania 22 in Chicago, the World Tag Team Titles will be on the line, in a 10 man, 5 team over the top battle royal. The match is open to any team that wishes to compete.
  • Vince McMahon also goes on to name the final two qualifiers for The Money in the Bank Ladder Match II. They will be split up between tonight, and Sunday, which will be the first USA televised edition of HEaT! Tonight, Goldust will face Rene Dupree for a spot in the match. Sunday it will be Tyson Tomko Vs. Val Venis.
  • Vince finishes up by saying that he has a new twist for his match with Shawn Michaels. At WrestleMania 22, their match will have a special referee. That man will be none other than, Shane McMahon!
  • John Cena makes an appearance, cutting off McMahon. Cena calls McMahon a punk for making Shane the special ref, but that’s the least of his worries. Cena wants to make a proposal for his WrestleMania match. Cena puts up the offer for a Chain Gang Match. Cena backs this by Triple H’s tendency to have friends back him up, and his even more real tendency to run away from a fight. [Essentially it’s a Lumberjack Match.] McMahon says he’ll take it under consideration.
[87%]The Coach has arrived!
  • The Spirit Squad are huddled in Vince McMahon’s lockeroom, Mikey then looks up and starts to worry about where “The Coach” is.
  • A knock is heard on the door, Nicky opens up the door to see… Jim Cornette!

  • Goldust wishes the best of luck to his opponents, because they will see the likes of him they have never seen before. He will inflict pain they can only have nightmares about.
  • Goldust cuts into each member of the match thus far individually, referring to Shelton Benjamin as a minor.. or MINORITY problem. He then refers to Flair as a warn out ring veteran who needs to be put out of his misery, and Van Dam, a has been who never was.
  • Goldust promises nothing less than victory at WrestleMania.
[80%]Edge warns Shelton..

  • Edge then names off the laundry list of titles he has held, only to finish with his WWE Title reign, in which Shelton laughs at upon hearing.
  • As Edge walks away, Momma Benjamin says Lita should be ashamed of how slutty she looks, Lita calls her fat, and gets a slap in the mouth for her troubles.

  • Brooks and Striker announce themselves as “The Winning Streak”.

  • Brooks eventually gets the upper hand with a drop toe hold, landing Chavo’s neck on the bottom rope.
  • Eugene is squashed by Striker, and finished off with a modified Perfectplex (which is more like a stalled hooked brainbuster.) from Striker, followed immediately by a Split Leg Moonsault by Brooks.
[72/66/78]This is only the beginning for The Winning Streak
  • Brooks and Striker say they will be in the Battle Royal at WrestleMania for the tag titles, and deservingly, will win.
  • Striker admonished the RAW Superstars for having the audacity to think they can beat The Winning Streak. He calls himself a GQ man that deserves respect.
[72%]Carlito bt. Marty Jannetty by pinfall.
  • Marty shows almost no ring rust in this, his first match in a WWE ring in quite some time.
  • Marty completely dominates the entire match, and has a lot of crowd support. About 5 minutes into the match, Jannetty lays out Carlito with a superkick.
  • Chris Masters rushes to ringside, coaxing Jannetty to leave the ring. Jannetty spits on Masters from the ring.
  • Caught by surprise, Carlito rolls up Jannetty, with a handful of tights, for a quick 3.
[70/68/72]The Heartbreak Kid is in the House!
  • Shawn Michaels starts by talking about how his whole life has been full of struggle, so he doesn’t feel worried at all about the new development in his match.
  • HBK offers to make it a 2-on-1 match to make it easier for the McMahons to work him over.
  • Shawn Michaels goes on to say they can get Steph, Linda, Hunter, Marissa, or any other member of the family they want. No matter how many people he has to face, he will overcome.
  • Shawn touches on Chris Masters and Carlito screwing over Marty Jannetty, and announces a challenge to them, and in that, the re-immergence of The Rockers!
[90%]Edge bt. Shelton Benjamin © by pinfall. WWE Intercontinental Title Match
  • The match inside the ring is almost as exciting as the back and forth showdown outside the ring between Lita and Momma Benjamin.
  • Edge capitalizes on Shelton when Lita knocks over Momma Benjamin’s wheel chair.
  • Edge catches Shelton with a spear as he turns around from watching the outside action. Edge then lays the boots to Shelton, looking to win not only a physical victory but a mental victory.
  • Shelton comes back with some rights and lefts, he comes off the ropes with a nice forearm taking Edge off his feet. Shelton attempts to nail a T-Bone, but Edge reverses with the Edgececution. After that it’s just mathematcs.. 1,2,3!
  • Post-Match Edge poses with the IC belt in the ring, looking down at a fallen Shelton Benjamin outside. Momma Benjamin is shown helping up Shelton as the show goes off the air.
  • !NEW! Intercontinental Champion!

I really like this set up. I agree with a poster earlier, who suggested this style may want to change for PPVs, but as for regular shows, I really like it. It is a really easy read, yet you manage you pack a lot of info into the shows. I will keep reading for sure.

Shelton better get his belt back at Mania too! Ha

[72%]Losing Money in the Bank? That’s not cool...
  • Carlito makes a response to Goldust’s interview earlier in the night, and chalks up his comments as being confused as to who was in the match. If Goldust knew Carlito was in the match, he would know that the title shot is sure to be his. Goldust just simply forgot.
  • Carlito then refers to the battle as The Gold One against The Cool One.
  • It’s not that he knows he will win, it’s the fact he knows he can’t lose. Because losing isn’t cool. Carlito says he almost lost his title shot once, being eliminated from the match by Ric Flair, only to be put back in by defeating Marty Jannetty.

  • Tyson destroys Rob Van Dam without prejudice. Flair comes in for an assists, only to be Yakuza kicked for his trouble. RVD tags out to Goldust, who lures Tyson outside.
  • Goldust and RVD seem to have something worked out, as Goldust brings Tyson back in the ring with his back to RVD’s corner. Goldust points to RVD perched on the top rope.
  • As Tyson turns around to look, RVD comes off the top with a Van Daminator. Goldust nails the curtain call for the three.
  • Post-Match boils down to a huge 6-Man-Brawl, with referee’s and road agents attempting to stop the turmoil. Raw goes off the air with Tyson Tomko laying out numerous staff members outside the ring.
