Being a Brit and not having access to late 80's average American shows, when the show started who was considered out of the six to be the 'biggest' star when Friends first started?

Just one of them things I have always wondered.

None of them had really anything of note prior to "Friends".

Cox had a two year run as Alex P. Keaton's girlfriend on popular sitcom Family Ties, and some other TV credits.
