SNES vs Genesis

I remember always hearing growing up that Genesis had better sports games than SNES. Why is that? What made them so much better?

Despite what may be said about the SNES, my heart has always been, and always will remain, with the Sega Mega Drive.

I loved NHL '96 for the SNES.

I don't think the games were any better on the Genesis (except World Series Baseball), but that all the people that played sports games like college kids owned the Genesis, while the SNES was marketted more to the youths, like me.

I know that Genesis was called Mega Drive in England, but I will always think that Mega Drive sounds gay.

I had a Mega Drive, so my heart will always lie with that, and not the SNES. As awesome as Mario Kart and Super Mario Bros are, they can't top childhood memories of Streets Of Rage 2 and California Games.
