OOC: the following is a "internet column" written by famed IWCer Patrick Quinlan (hey! it's my diary...if I wanna be a famous internet personality, i will be. :-) lol) recapping TNA's occurances from Bound For Glory up until the week of the 16th of November, which is the 2 hour Primetime special set to air on SpikeTV. Anyone who has not read the results for the upcoming two weeks of Impact! (tonight and next thursday) may not want to read ahead. I tried to keep any specifics out, but some things happened that needed to be addressed ot incoperated into the upcoming storylines. I hope you enjoy.

IPB Image

Ok wrestling fans...here's the deal:

At September's No Surrender Pay-Per View Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) shocked the wrestling world when they acquired a man who had come to represent World Wrestling Entertainment over the past few years. A man who, several months earlier, had main evented WWE Wrestlemania and was a focal point in the first few weeks of WWE's revived ECW brand. That man, for anyone living under a rock, was Kurt Angle.

The signing of the Olympic Gold Medalist was no doubt a huge accomplishment for the four year old wrestling company, and the general feeling in TNA was that this signing would be the begining of TNA's rise into the American mainstream. Maybe it will...maybe it won't.

I do know this...with all the attention givin to the signing of Angle and TNA's move to primetime prior to the Genesis PPV in November, that another potentially big signing went under the radar with wrestling fans. That would be the signing of Vince Russo. This would Mr. Russo's third time at the helm of TNA's creative team, but with the current buzz and move to primetime this would easily be his most important. TNA lived on the amazing talent roster it had under contract, but the direction that talent roster was given could ultimately prove to be the deciding factor in wether or not the average potentail wrestling fan would simply flip by TNA or be drawn into the product.

Could the same Vince Russo who gave the green light to a David Arquette WCW title reign work magic on a company that was all about the wrestling? In the man's defense...this is clearly not the same ol Russo. The man is born again, and has admitted that he certainly made his fair share of mistakes in the past. Even going so far has to publically ask for forgiveness from Jim Ross for his slandering of him with the Oklahoma gimmick portrayed by Ed Ferrera. But has the man truly changed is ways? Would he leave his fansination with "CrashTv" in the past? Would he really drop the overuse of Tits-n-Ass that the man was known for previously?

Only time would tell what would happen with Russo in TNA. But a few things are already known. For one, He does seem like a differant person so far, he's even attempting to work things out with current talent who feel...let's just say less than thrilled about Russo returning to TNA. Secondly, Vince will not be an onscreen character, at all. His current contract clearly states he will be used in an off screen capacity only. Lastly...don't expect to see Russo and Cornette singing any campfire songs together. Those two still don't like eachother. But other than that, it's all up in the air.

So it's been over a month since the newest "Russo Reign" in professional wrestling started, how has TNA faired in the early stages thusfar? Well, honestly, not alot has changed. Other than what was already expected to happen that is. Here we are, less than a week before TNA's move to primetime and TNA is pretty much headed in the direction it was. Now it was widely considered that things would take a month or two before we saw what was in Russo plans, has he started off carrying on what was already in development. TNA's Bound For Glory went off without much of a hitch, and for the most part, what was expected to happen...happened. Kurt Angle did the usual job of a "special enforcer" and prevented then NWA Champion Jeff Jarrett from cheating and Sting won the title in the main event.

Big shocker? NO. But it is what should of happened. Most everyone was sick of Jarrett with the title, and having Sting win the big match after building up to it all year makes perfect sense.

The only real "shocker", and I use that lightly, to come out of Bound for Glory was an unexpected return for a wrestler thought to be out of TNA's plans. We all knew Austin Aries would be returning under the monicker of Austin Starr. The same match that saw his return saw his former teammate return also, in the form of Roderick Strong.

Before we get anyfurther into recapping TNA since Russo's return, here's a quick rundown of all the action of Bound For Glory:

IPB Image

Austin Starr defeated Sharkboy, Petey Williams, Roderick Strong, Puma, Zach Gowen, Nigel McGuiness, Norman Smiley, Elix Skipper, David Young in the "Kevin Nash Invitational". The final two where Starr and Strong, and Starr put him away with a 450 splash. After the match Nash attacked Aries and Jacknifed the winner of "his match". Nigel, Puma and Gowen were payed for one apperance, not signed to contracts. Skipper and Young started off as a team, but it was Young who turned around and eliminated Skipper with Simon Diamond's help.

Team 3D defeated The Rock N Roll Express in a pretty subpar tag team affair. Team 3D had challanged anyone from the past, present or future...Gibson and Morton were the guys TNA chose. They got a good crowd reaction, and wrestled a eight minute match or so, a 3D finished things and they haven't been seen since.

The Naturals defeated The Papparazzi, Maverick Matt & Kazerian, Sonjay Dutt & Jay Lethal in a four team contenders match. Since they couldn't get thier title shot at Bound for Glory, Shane Douglas put thier #1 contendership status on the line against the three challanging teams. Douglas did it to "keep them hungry and focused" and it seemed to work. Lethal tried to punt a football into the crotch of Chase Stevens (yes, you read that right...damn jackass crap), but Chase "blocked the punt" and Lethal wound up eating the pinfall to give the Naturals the win.

Samoa Joe defeated Raven, Abyss, Brother Runt in a Monster's Ball match. The usual mayhem, with some memorable sights. For instance Joe delivering an Island Driver through a table to poor Brother Runt. Abyss wound up getting the Blackhole Slam on Raven, but Joe kicked his head damn near off, sending him to the outside. Back inside poor Runt fell victim to a Muscle Buster on a trash can, before Joe chocked out Raven for the win. Jake Robert's involvment was minimal, and the man hasn't appeared on tv since...though reports claim he could show up again.

America's Most Wanted defeated The James Gang via a little trickery. Harris and Storm exploded at eachother towards the end of the match, leading to James Storm leaving the ringside area and leaving Harris alone. Just when BG and Kip where about to put Harris away, Storm sprinted back into the ring and nailed BG with a beer bottle behind the refs back, allowing Harris to roll over and pick up the win for AMW.

Bobby Roode announced his new manager and depsite plenty of reports that it would be Traci, it wound up being Mike Sanders...haven't seen him in awhile. Sander's claimed he wasn't just the best man for the job, he was the smartest.

Senshi defeated Chris Sabin to retain the TNA X Division Championship after yet another jackass stunt backfired. Lethal and Dutt came to the ring with a Sumo wrestler! (somebody put me out of my misery...now!) and when the fat guy tried to sqaush Senshi he missed and ran into Sabin. Senshi disposed of the fat man and Lethal and Dutt and hit the Warriors Way on Sabin for the win. After the match Sabin looked very annoyed at Dutt and Lethal.

Rhino defeated Christian Cage in an Eight Mile Street Fight after Eight Mile's own Eminem, who had been show in attendance earlier, hopped the gaurdrail and started arguein with Cage, allowing Rhino to hit the Gore for the win. Rhino and Em shoke hands after and Rhino got on the mic saying that Eight Mile's posse will always have his back. Word out of TNA was that Eminem was given the tickets, and treated like a VIP, TNA also paid for him and his posse's VIP ride to the show and he was seen hangin out with the wrestlers before and after the show. It was just a one time apperance though, much like Johnny Damon getting involved in the Basebrawl match awhile ago.

The Latin American Xchange defeated AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels in a Six Sides of Steel match to once again become the NWA World Tag Team Champions. It was a great match like everyone expected it too be. In the end some help from Konnan allowed the LAX to defeat Styles & Daniels and regain the tag gold.

Sting defeated Jeff Jarrett with Kurt Angle as Special Enforcer to become the NEW NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Jarrett tried to hit Sting with the guitar, Angle intervend and Sting took advantage to become the new NWA Champion. Sting and Angle stood toe to toe after the match, and appeared to exchange some words. Jarrett came to and attacked both from the side, Jarrett took the Title from Sting and held it in the air, when Samoa Joe came out and took out Jarrett, then left with the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.

After Bound For Glory

With Bound For Glory out of the way, it was time for Impact! tapings. After there initial confrontation on Impact prior to Bound For Glory, TNA had made it a point to keep Angle and Joe seperate from eachother. With Joe leaving BFG with the World Title things between the two where bound to be brought up again. Sting opened up the following Impact broadcast in the ring, calling out Joe and informing everyone that he hadn't forgotten about what happened between himself and Joe a few months ago. Joe appeared and that brought Angle and Jarrett out aswell. The four men brawled until officials seperated them.

It was announced that Jarrett would get his rematch during the two hour primetime special on the 16th. It was also announced that The Naturals would get thier shot at the tag titles that same show.

LAX was backstage doin an interview when AMW attacked looking for retribution from a fews ago, The James Gang and Team 3D happened to wonder by and all four teams wound up brawling with eachother.

They showed Kazerian and Maverick Matt backstage, and Kazerian was trying to convince Matt to go back to using the Bently name.

Impact was main evented that week by a rematch from BFG pitting Rhino against Christian Cage. The match ended in a no contest when Monty Brown made his return and Pounced! both men.

The second Impact after Bound for Glory saw a great X-Division matchup between Alex Shelley and Austin Starr, Starr picked up the win in a great ten minute TV match. After the match Kevin Nash once again took out Starr.

Angle was backstage looking for Joe, when LAX attacked from nowhere...when Jeremy Borasch arrived on the scene and asked why they attacked Angle, Konnon slapped him in the face, and said the "price" was right.

Jim Cornette said he was tired of Joe taking belts, and if he wanted a shot at the World Heavyweight title he would have to earn it. Cornette said at Genesis there would be a Ten Man Gauntlet and the winner would recieve a title shot at the Turning Point PPV.

Elix Skipper and David Young fought one on one, with Young picking up the win with the help of Simon Diamond, Ron Killings came out after the match to prevent further beatdown of Skipper.

Monty Brown came to the ring with the NWA World Heavyweight title that he was able to "steal when Fat Joe was eatin a burger" Joe came out to get the title back but was blind sided by Abyss and tossed off the ramp. Brown challanged Sting to come and take the title from him "man to crow-impersonator"

Jarrett took on AJ Styles in Impact's main event and got the win after Homicide hit Styles with the Gringo Killah! After the match Konnan got on the mic and said LAX wouldn't be finished with Styles and Daniels until they where both driven out of TNA. Konna said they weren't just thugs for hire, but the price on Angle's head was too good to pass up.

The final Impact before the move to Primetime had Jarrett claiming he wasn't behind the hit on Angle, and had no idea who was. He claimed he would win the title back the next week, but if Sting "cheated" and managed to keep the title he demanded to be placed in the gauntlet match.

Sting addressed Monty Brown and Brown came out, after the two brawled for a bit, Sting said even though Brown didn't deserve it, he would talk to Cornette and make Sting -vs- Brown at Genesis. Monty said if the title was on the line, he would be there.

Senshi retained the X-Division title against Jay Lethal when interferance by Sonjay Dutt backfired. After the match Sonjay and Lethal where mad at Sabin for not helping out.

Angle did a pretaped segment claiming he would be on the prowl for LAX at the Primetime special, and they better tell whoever hired them to watch out, cause it was only a matter of time before he figured out who it was...if it wasn't Jarrett.

LAX demolished The Briscoe's in about 90 seconds, after the match AMW, Team 3D and The James Gang all came to ringside and another four team brawl ensued. Cornette showed up and said at Genesis the the three teams would meet in a number one contender's match. He also stated he already had something planned for LAX at Genesis.

Styles and Daniels did a sit down interview with Mike Tenay talking about how they couldn't get rid of LAX. Styles said they'd be up for a rematch anytime, anyplace. It was a good segment, Daniels did most of the talking.

Cornette was backstage to announce that Angle would have his first EVER TNA match next week during the two hour special. He also announced that next week would see Abyss team with Christian Cage to take on Samoa Joe and Rhino. And reminded everyone that Jarrett would indeed get his rematch next week. Maverick Matt and Kazerian showed up and Matt wanted to let Cornette know that he was now "Maverick" Matt Bently, so Cornette should let the PR and Merchandise departments know. Cornette blew him off.

The main event was Abyss facing Raven, Abyss won the match with a blackhole slam, and after the match Joe came out and levaled Abyss. Joe told Monty that he never forgets, and he doesn't like when people take what's his.

...and there you have it. That pretty much sums up the last 5 weeks in TNA for ya. Kevin Nash is back to his old tricks with the X-Division it would appear, and Austin Starr has returned pretty strong. Tempers continue to flare involving Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle, and LAX is jumping anyone who moves. AMW is in an uncertain state at the moment...will they break up? will they turn face? Who put the hit out on Angle? Is this just a way to feed Angle to Jarrett, or vice-versa? What does the future hold for TNA's resident "Dream Team" of Styles and Daniels?

Alot of questions need answering in the next few weeks, smart money says the two hour primetime specials will see some of those questions answered. One thing that seems to be apparent, atleast in the early going, is that TNA is no longer content with having Jarrett be the face of the company. Although the man is still in the upper tier of the company, that tier has gotten increasingly crowded in the last couple weeks. Samoa Joe appears to have finally broken into the main event scene, and Sting is now World Champion. Christian Cage, Rhino, Abyss and the returning Monty Brown all have thrust into the title picture. A picture that is kinda crowded at the moment, can TNA pull it off? Keep all those men as legitimate contenders? More importantly, can Russo pull it off?

I guess we will all have to wait...and see.

TNA IPMACT! PREVIEW FOR 11/16/06 - TWO HOUR PRIMETIME SPECIAL!

IPB Image

Don't miss a moment of the Total Nonstop Action this Thursday night on a very special 2 hour broadcast of TNA Impact! This thursday night will no doubt be a night to remember with the inring debut of The Olympic Gold Medlalist, Kurt Angle. Kurt has laid down the challange for LAX and whoever paid them for the gang style mugging they put on Kurt two weeks ago on Impact. Will Angle be able to keep focused on the match while dealing with LAX and thier money man? The opposition is no slouch, in the form of recently returning X-Division standout Roderick Strong. Strong is looking to make a name for himself in TNA, and a win over a future Legand like Angle would be just the ticket. Tune in to see the debut of Kurt Angle has he battles Roderick Strong.

Not to be overshadowed is the fact that the NWA World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line in our main event. Sting is schedualed to defend the NWA Title against Monty Brown a mere 70 hours after Impact, at Sunday's Genesis PPV Event, but the Icon will have to get by the former Champion in Jeff Jarrett first. Can Sting defeat Jarrett for a second straight time? And if Jeff regains the NWA World Heavyweight Championship what will that do to the Genesis PPV and Monty Brown's shot at the title? Jarrett has gauranteed to regain the Gold, and told TNAwrestling.com that when he does, he will be taking the Gensis PPV off. Can Cornette prevent Jeff from holding TNA hostage if he regains the title? Tune in to find out!

This Sunday at Genesis there will be a ten man Gauntlet for the #1 contendership to the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, this thursday night will see four of those ten men compete in a special attraction tag team affair. The undefeated "Somoan Submission Machine" Somoa Joe has had possession of the NWA Title on two seperate occasions now, without even competing in a match for the gold. Sunday he gets his oppertunity to become the #1 contender, but first he has to team with "The War Machine" Rhino as they take on Christian Cage and "The Monster" Abyss! No doubt those four men have to be considered favorites this Sunday, and each will certainly be looking to gain some momentum going into Genesis.

They have waited nearly two full months, but this Thursday night on Impact! Shane Douglas' new "Franchised" Naturals will get thier rightful shot at the NWA World Tag Team Titles when they oppose the NWA Tag Team Champions The Latin American Xchange. LAX has no shortage of enemies in TNA, and that certainly hasn't improved in the last few weeks, will Angle make his presance felt during the Title match? Perhaps AMW will come looking for revenge? The NWA World Tag Team Title scene is really heating up, this thursday night there's no reason to suspect the flames to simmer down.

With Genesis rapidly approaching and no TNA X-Division Championship match decided for the card yet, Thursday night will see a six man X-Division tag team match. X Champion Senshi will defend the title against one of the five other men involved at Genesis. Jim Cornette has decided to make things interesting and added an incentive for Senshi. Should Senshi's team win the match he will chose which of of his two teammates he will defend the title against at Genesis, if the other team wins the man who gets the pinfall will get the shot at the X title. Senshi will find himself teamed with Petey Williams and Austin Starr, the three men to face them will be Chris Sabin, Sonjay Dutt and Jay Lethal. Find out who will get a shot at the X Title this thursday night on Impact!

All of this and more, including "The Phenominal" AJ Styles and "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels in tag team action this thursday night in PRIMETIME!

Confirmed Impact! Card:

Jeff Jarrett -vs- Sting (NWA World Heavyweight Championship)

Kurt Angles inring debut -vs- Roderick Strong

The Naturals -vs- The Latin American Xchange (NWA World Heavyweight Championship)

"The Somoan Submission Machine" Somoa Joe & "The War Machine" Rhino -vs- Christian Cage & "The Monster" Abyss

Chris Sabin & Sonjay Dutt & Jay Lethal -vs- Petey Williams & Austin Starr & 'X Champion' Senshi

Plus AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels in Action!

Great Opening Card. I can Imagine Roderick Strong vs. Angle is gonna be a squash mash. Obviously Strong is gonna squash Angle

2 Title Matches on the line at Impact. That is definately impressive (ps. I think you mean NWA Tag Titles rather than Heavyweight title for the tag match :P). Suprisingly to see a Heavyweight title defence just before Genesis. But this is a primetime special baby!

Jeff Jarrett -vs- Sting (NWA World Heavyweight Championship)

Kurt Angles inring debut -vs- Roderick Strong

The Naturals -vs- The Latin American Xchange (NWA World Heavyweight Championship)

"The Somoan Submission Machine" Somoa Joe[ & "The War Machine" Rhino -vs- Christian Cage & "The Monster" Abyss

Chris Sabin & Sonjay Dutt & Jay Lethal -vs- Petey Williams & Austin Starr & 'X Champion' Senshi

I actually read this over the other day and thought I left some comments. Oops.

Set up is nice and I like the way you presented everything up to the point in which you want to actually start. This scenario is monumental to the industry and as with the real thing, I'm anxious to see what happens.

TNA is set up to have a few possible contenders, and it looks like you've done this too. Hopefully that continues. Right now it looks like the tag division is teeter tottering .... I'd like to see more established teams come in, rather than continually pairing random guys like the real TNA has done.

Your roster is primed to make a run of it. Let's see which direction you take off.

solid base man

Well I don't follow TNA, but are those Impact results your own, or did they happen in real life?

Anyways, definitely a solid card for the Primetime special. Looks like you can get Jarrett out of the title picture with a loss against Sting, and that is a good thing. You can also build towards Joe/Sting, which seems like a money match.

Also, I like the way your booking Angle, even though you've only got him in a match against Strong, I can see your not going to rush any potential money matches he could have with the likes of Joe, Sting & any other TNA main eventers.

So a good start, but when you get a show up, we will be able to make a proper judgment.

I am actually really looking foward to see what direction this diary goes in. Angle against Strong is a mouth watering match up but i think you have to make it a squash which is fucked as roddy is great.

Also i might be wrong but doesnt Strong not wrestle in TNA anymore? Also i find it very odd you would give away Jeff Jarrett -vs- Sting (NWA World Heavyweight Championship) on TV.

Other than a few things i look foward to reading and seeing where this diary goes from here.

OOC: Ok...here's the special 2hr debut of TNA Impact! on SpikeTv. I'm not 100% sold on the format yet...I might change it up abit...nothing too drastic, but abit. I perfer writting in the style of an opiniated Internet recap. not everything works according to plain, and I like to recap showcasing the good and the bad. Saying "this worked, but this sucked" and what not. Any opinions on the matter would be appreciated, and I want to thank those who have replied. I'll answer questions later. Anyway...without further delay, the two hour premiere of TNA Impact! in PRIMETIME!

One more thing! I made a MISTAKE in my previous posts. There is actually one more impact before Genesis. In real life the primetime special is right before Genesis, but I'm using the breaking barriers scenerio and they had the date wrong. I didn't even think to double check, and don't want to start all over again. It sucks...but I'll have to make due. Now onto the show.

The Impact! eXperience

11-16-06

Hosts: Mike Tenay & Don West

By: Patrick Quinlan

So we are ten days from TNA's Genesis Pay Per View and this show is supposed to see the card come together. TNA has been hyping this up big time, even running adds before and after WWE RAW on USA Network, hoping to attract people who tune in early, and watch whatever's on after RAW. Will it work? I guess we'll find out in a few days time, but before we do it's Impact! Time.

The show opens with a fairly long video recapping alot of the happenings in TNA's uppercard the last few weeks. They show clips of the Angle/Joe confrontation, the BFG main event with Sting winning the title and Angle and Jarrett exchanging blows, along with Joe walking off with the title for the second time. Fast forward to Joe/Angle/Jarrett from Impact a few weeks ago, and LAX attacking Angle. select comments from the sitdown Angle interview play while they show LAX beating him down. Monty Brown returning and brawling with Sting are shown, and then various clips of Joe, Abyss, Christian Cage, Jeff Jarrett, Sting and Monty are shown. The clip ends showing Abyss tossing Joe off the stage. Tenay and West are at the broadcast booth, they hype up the NWA Title match and Angle's debut tonight, and then it's a once again updated opening sequence. More shots of Angle and Joe then previously, and LAX is a bit more dominate in the opening now too.

After the opening ends we get quick shots of Jarrett and Sting backstage, along with Angle warming up for his match. West shills this as the "biggest Impact ever" they run down the whole card. Jarrett -vs- Sting, Cage/Abyss -vs- Rhino/Joe, Naturals -vs- LAX, Styles/Daniels -vs- Bently/Kazerian and ofcourse, Angle's in ring debut. And speaking of Angle...the man's music hits and he's on his way to the ring.

Kurt Angle in-ring segment

Kurt milks the crowds reaction, a loud "Angle" chant breaks out in the Impact Zone. Angle wants everyone to know that tonight they will be apart of history. Not just because of the two hour impact and the "amazing" card they have tonight, but because it's the dawning of a new Era in TNA (I swear I've heard that like...ten times from this company). It's also the dawning of a new Angle. Kurt says Roderick Strong is a great up and comer, but he has along way to go before he can hope to hang with him. Angle says his fans haven't seen anything yet, and he'll show everyone in TNA, and everyone watching at home, what Kurt Angle is all about.

TIME TO KILL A GRINGO! LAX's music interupts and Konnan steps out and walks halfway down the rampway. Konnan wants everyone to know that it wasn't Jarrett who "financed thier vacation to Mexico last week" LAX tore Mexico up and partied 5150 style, ya know. Konnan says something in spanish (I failed 8th grade spanish, don't expect me to translate), and calls Kurt the "Olympic Gringo". Angle wants to know who they got thier maching orders from, and Konnan says LAX marches to thier own beat...someone else just paid for the beat. Konnan wants to know why Angle bothered to show his "bald cracker ass" in TNA. He said he heard Angle claim it was because of the competition...if so he made a mistake, because no one including Kurt can Compete with LAX.

Before Angle can muster a reply Homicide and Hernades slide into the ring behind Kurt and charge. Angle hears them though and meets both with rights. Homicide and Hernades get knocked down and Kurt looks like he's about to pop a blood vein....INTENSITY! Homicide gets clotheslined to the outside and Angle yells at Hernandes to get up...Angle Slam on the big guy! Homicide clips Angle's legs from behind and Konnan uses the oppertunity to get into the ring, he and Cide put the boots to Kurt until Angle is able to roll out of the ring and regain his composure. Angle heads back in, but LAX bails, smirkin at an angry Kurt the whole time.

Tenay and West put over LAX being a bunch of thugs, until we go to commercial break. Christy Hemme informs us that six man X-Division action is next.

Chris Sabin/Sonjay Dutt/Jay Lethal -vs- Petey Williams/Austin Starr/Senshi

Lethal and Petey start us off and Petey gone and got his ass handed to him. a serious of arm drags and arm tosses before Lethal busts out the ol hiptoss into a sitting dropkick routine. Jay then goes springboard style with a missle dropkick for a two count. Petey is able to duck a Lethal kick and tags in Austin Starr. A STARR IS BORN! Austin goes crazy with lefts and elbows on Jay. Into the corner and Starr charges with a dropkick into Jay. Starr with a snapmare, then locks in a rear chinlock. Jay fights out and tags in Sabin, Chris charges but it's all for not as Starr labels him with a HARD clothesline. Gutwrench suplex by Austin, then a reverse scoopslam, droppin Sabin on his face. Penduluam Elbow drop gets a two count...love that move. Starr takes in Petey and Williams with an atomic drop then a neckbreaker. Cover gets a two count. Snap suplex gets another two. Irishwhip but Sabin ducks the clothesline and rolls through to tag in Sonjay. Dutt snaps off a hurricanrana on Petey, then Starr runs in and eats one himself. Senshi puts an end to that with a seriously stiff kick to the chest. The ref regains order and Petey covers for a two count. Tag to Senshi who is a choppin machine. I think Shi just likes turnin Sabin's chest beet red. Irishwhip is reversed by Sabin, but Shi connects with a summersault kick for a two count. Starr tags back in and looks for a brainbuster, but Sabin counters into a DDT. Tag to Lethal who rolls up Starr for a two count. Dropkick by Jay, who goes uptop..but Starr catches him with a dropkick to the gut on the crossbody attempt. After some stompin Petey gets tagged back in. Russian leg sweep on Jay. Into the corner it's it nut stompin' time! OH CANADA! SICK cradle DDT by Petey looks to finish off Lethal, but Dutt saves, then hits that flip over expulsion move on Petey. Shi comes in and misses a kick, allowing Dutt to snap off a Dragonrana on Shi. Sabin is now in and it's total chaos!

All six men hit the ring and start exchanging punches and the like. Sabin tosses Shi and then follows up with a suicide dive to the floor. Not to be outdone Starr follows by hittin a twisting suicide dive to Sabin. Back in Dutt goes around 720 before snappin off a leg scissors on Petey. Lethal clotheslines Petey outside and goes over aswell. Dutt sees the oppertunity on a Asia moonsault on Sabin, Starr, Shi follows. "TNA" Chants and Dutt rolls back in, but Petey got away from Lethal and Dutt walks into a CANADIAN DESTROYER! Lethal makes the save though and hits a full nelson suplex, with the bridge, on Petey. Shi saves and hits a Ki Krusher! Haven't seen that from him in awhile. Sabin is in and Shi gets sent to the outside. Sabin then takes out Starr with a running enziguri, and a dropkick sending him outside. Petey gets up and CRADLE SHOCK on Petey. But Lethal breaks it up and won't let Sabin make the pin, instead he rolls Petey up for the three count. Sabin looks heated, and confronts Lethal. Sonjay and Lethal walk away though, leaving Sabin in the middle of the ring, and Senshi don't like cats in HIS Ring. A big time running front dropkick sends Sabin flying over the top ropes to the floor below. Senshi gets the X Title and holds it above his head as we cut back to the broadast table.

Match Thoughts: nothing spectacular but a pretty decent X division match. I know they wanted to cram the best of the X-Division in here, but it probably would of been better if was a two on two. But it did it's purpose and provided some pretty cool spots. Plus the finish advances the recent storyline of Sabin wanting to get more serious, while the others still want to joke around and seem to be resenting Sabin for it. **3/4

Tenay and West wonder why Lethal did that briefly, before they hype up Angle's debut and Sting/Jarrett some more and Christy tells us after the commercial AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels will be in action.

Kazerian & "Maverick" Matt Bently -vs- AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels

AJ and Bently start us off and circle eachother before locking up, AJ with a deep arm drag but MB responds with one of his own. lock up again, side headlock by AJ but MB slips out and looks for a sleeper, Styles rolls out and they lock up again. Back into the corner they go with AJ in control...clean break is not so clean by Bently. Back elbow sends AJ down, tag to Kazerian. Kaz with a drop toe hold on AJ into a headlock. AJ fights up and an irishwhip follows, ducks on the return and a beautiful dropkick by AJ drops Kaz. Daniels gets the tag and unloads a series of left jabs before knocking Kaz down with a right hand. Springboard sitdown moonsault follows for a two count by CD. Fists to the face follow and Daniels snapmares Kaz over, kick to the back of the head then against the ropes with a dropkick to the back of the head. Cover gets a two count. Suplex by Daniels before AJ gets the tag again. Vertical suplex into a hangman's nuse neckbreaker gets AJ a two count. Scoop and a slam by AJ, against the ropes with a jumping knee drop for a two count again. Kazerian counters a suplex attempt with a neckbreaker and then makes the tag to Bently. The Maverick drops AJ with right hands, then applies a boston crab on Styles. After a ropebreak Matt is back on the attack with a series of elbow drops and a choke. Manhatten Drop followed by a big right hand sends AJ down. Matt climbs the turnbuckles but misses a flying elbow drop allowing AJ to tag in Daniels. Sambo Suplex to Bently, Kazerian runs in and gets dropped with a running STO clothesline. Fall from Grace on Bently gets a two count. Vertical suplex attempted but Kazerian saves and they double suplex Daniels. AJ comes back in and hits a spin kick on Kazerian, Bently charges but AJ ducks and hits the Pelee'! Love that move.

After the Pelee' AJ clotheslines Kazerian to the outside, then springs against the ropes with a beutiful flipping plancha to the outside. Seeing this guy fly through the air...he may be the best flyer in the business right now. Daniels and Bently are back inside exchanging punches, which CD gets the better of and hits a DVD on Bently. Daniels positions Matt and heads for the corner...BME attempt but Bently moves, and Daniels lands on his feet. MB with a Superkick but Daniels catches it and spins him around into a flatliner and then grapvines himself for the submission. Bently gets the ropes though and then uses the trunks of Daniels to toss him outside. He sees AJ and Kazrian fighting on the floor and suicide dives through the middle and top ropes onto both of them. AJ recovers first and slowly makes his way back in. Bently and Kazerian are busy checking on eachother which allows AJ the oppertunity to fly once more...Fallsbury Flop onto both of them garners more "TNA" chants. After all three men sell the bump they all get back inside and Daniels rejoins us to allow all four men to fight eachother. MB paired off with Daniels, and Kaz and AJ. Kazerian ducks an AJ clothesline, then springs off the ropes with a tornado DDT! Bently connects with the Superkick on Daniels, but CD manages to drape his leg accross the bottom rope before the three count. Bently and Kazerian drag Daniels to his feet and whip him into the corner. Bently follows up but Daniels gets the boot up and then out of nowhere hit's the Anglel's Wings! Kazerian sends Daniels to the floor, but then turns around to a recovered AJ who hits the Style's Clash on him for the win.

Match Thoughts: Personally I love it when these two teams go at it. They had a match on Impact like 2 months ago that was a joy to watch, and this was another good tag team match. Everyone get on the Bently/Kazerian bandwagon with me...come on...there's plenty of room. ***1/2

The History of Raven

A fairly long and detailed video plays looking at the history of Raven in TNA. It starts with him debuting and stealing the NWA Title from Jarrett, and includes his battles with his flock and the New Church...hey, CM Punk and Alexis Laree...copyright that WWE. it's always good to show people that are now with the competition. We see various clips of Raven interviews and some of his House of Fun matches, they show him getting shaved by Mitchell and Raven winning the NWA Title. Fast forward to more recent events, with Raven gettin his ass kicked alot. Raven starts talking over the video and saying that despite whatever punishment is handed out, he's always up for more. A pretty cool video actually, TNA's production department rocks.

After that it's back to the ring, as LAX's music heats and the NWA World Tag Team Champions make thier way to the ring. Tenay and West tell us not to go anywhere, cause the Tag Titles will be on the line NEXT!

The Naturals -vs- The Latin American Xchange (NWA World Tag Team Championship)

Cide and Stevens start us off and Chase overpowers Cide in a lockup, but he's a thug ya know...so you gotta watch that old thumb to eye trick. Homicide lays the beatdown on Chase and belly to bellies the man. Snap suplex by Cide who loves to taunt for the crowd tonight. Against the ropes with a big leg drop...for a two count. Snapmare into a rear chin lock, as Cide really drives the knee into Chase's back. Tag into Hernandes, who runs over Chase with a big boot to the facial area. Irishwhip and a HELLUVA flapjack by the big guy. He must of sent Chase like 10-12 feet in the air. Cover gets a two count. Hernandes stomps away on Chase before press slamming him to the matt, then droppin an elbow to the back of his head. Douglas tries to get the crowd amped for Chase, and it works as Chase slips out of a frontslam attempt and clips Hernandes' knee, before crawling to the corner to take in Andy Douglas. Cide also gets the tag and the two exhcnage right hands until Andy gets the better of it and clothesline's Cide outside. Then a dropkick on Hernandes sends him off the apron to the floor. Springboard crossbody connects on Cide, and Stevens looks to duplicate the outcome on Hernandes, but no go...Stevens gets caught and rammed into the ringpost. Douglas sends Cide back inside and drops him with a clothesline, then a back body drop. Kick to the midsection on Cide, followed by a double underhook bomb, and Douglas immediatly locks in a Cloverleaf like submission. Hernandes comes back into the ring and nails Douglas, then hits the Crackerjack! By the time Cide gets over to cover Andy is able to kick out at two. Cide picks him up then delivers a kick to the gut, followed by a swinging neckbreaker for another two count. Back outside Stevens is getting back to his feet, but Konnan puts and end to that by nailing Stevens with the Slapjack! Things don't look good for Douglas now, but he puts up a valiant effort by hitting a DDT on Cide, then snappin off a hurricanrana on Hernandes. Running leaping clothesline knocks down Homicide. Douglas busts out a Michinoku driver for a two count, then walks into Hernandes who sends him accross the ring with a sick Border Toss! Cide climbs the ropes and a frog splash ends things allowing LAX to keep thier Titles.

Match Thoughts: I wonder if this will be the end of the Naturals/Douglas alliance? More so, I wonder if this will be the end of the Naturals push. Things are getting crowded in TNA's Tag Team division, and after the Styles/Daniels -vs- LAX thing plays out, AMW looks to be next in line...wonder if they will turn them face? Guess the break up was scraped? As for the match itself...it was ok. Nothing memerable, but nothing unpleasant either. **3/4

After the three count Kurt Angle hits the ring and immediatly disposes of Hernades, Cide tries to go after Angle but his belly to bellied. Angle locks in the Ankle Lock when SCOTT STEINER makes his return and he be clubberin on Angle's back. Belly to Belly of his own, followed by the Steiner Recliner on Kurt. Stiener eventually releases the hold and grabs a mike. He says he was the one that paid LAX to send a message to Kurt, and that message is that TNA doesn't need him anymore...they have the Big Bad Booty Daddy back. He says the reason he's been gone is because TNA was "low ballin" him on salery. He finally got the money he deserves, and he's gonna show everyone he's worth every zero by Taking out Angle and using him as a steppin stone to the Championship. Steiner wishes Angle the best of luck in his match tonight, and really hopes he's able to compete...because he wants to see Angle lose before he finishes him off. Have I mentioned Stiener kicks all types of ass?

After a commercial break we get a recap of what just happened, Tenay and West hype up Genesis in TEN days. They add that because of ealier six man tag it will be Jay Lethal -vs- Senshi for the X Championship.

Abyss & Christian Cage -vs- Rhino & Samoa Joe

After a little scuffle between the four to start, things settle down and Rhino and Abyss are the ones to start us off. Rhino charges with rights to the monster, sending him reelin', but Abyss fights back and clubs down hard across the back of Rhino. Abyss punches Rhino into the corner and lays some more punches to him. More punching, but Rhino's had enough and throws some shots in return. Rhino backs Abyss into the corner and straight up...unloads on the big man. Crazy rights and then stomps a good 'ol mudhole into the boy. Rhino plays the crowd abit then chops by Rhino, a few more rights but Abyss reverses an irishwhip, Abyss puts his head down to fast and Rhino catches him with a kick to the stomach. Clothesline knocks Abyss down. Quickly back up and Rhino charges, Abyss with a hiptoss attempt, blocked, tries again...blocked again, Rhino overpowered him twice...cool. Clothesline turns Abyss inside out! Nice job of selling that from Abyss. seeing a guy that size damn near flip is sweet. Rhino tags in Joe and the crowd immediatly starts the cheering. Rapid fire rights and lefts to the Monster, and Joe off the ropes clotheslines him down. After draggin him into the corner Joe face washes Abyss, then bounces off the ropes and charges sending his foot into Abyss' face. Cage spits at Joe, prompting Joe to lose focus and go after Cage, but Abyss uses the opening to connect with a big boot. Sidewalk slam on Joe for barely a two count. Cage gets tagged in punches and slaps at the back of Joe. Suplex shows a nice display of strenght from Cage. Chokes away until the ref forces him to break. Tag back into Abyss who scoops up Joe, then falls forward with a powerslam on Joe. Cover gets a two count. Joe starts fight back with rights and open hand thrusts to the head and chest of Abyss, off the ropes BIG jumping boot to the face of the Monster! Joe with a Manhatten drop, then follows up with a DDT. Cover gets only two. Tag to Rhino who charges and shoulder blocks Abyss down. After a series of kicks to the fallen Abyss, Rhino picks him up and hoistes him up on his shoulders, then just falls backwards with a somoan drop. Cover gets a two count. Abyss blocks a punch and knees Rhino in the gut, then chokeslams him! Abyss tags in Cage who punches away on Rhino. Falling reverse DDT gets a two count. Backbreaker follows, then some choking.

Cage is taunting Joe, then suplexes Rhino. Short arm clothesline follows, then some more Cage showboating. Tag to Abyss who hits an over the shoulder front powerslam on Rhino. Abyss tosses Rhino into the corner, then charges himself before running full speed ahead but Rhino moves and catches Abyss on the rebound with a belly to belly. Both men tag out and Joe and Cage go at it. Joe gets the upper hand until Cage rakes the eyes...unprettier but Joe counters into the Kokita Clutch! Abyss is able to make the save...prompting Rhino to charge at Abyss, sending them both to the outside. Cage comes at Joe, but Joe catches him and snaps off a nice powerslam. Cover but Cage kicks out. Cage gets positioned in the corner, and Joe is thinking Musclebuster...but Christian fights it off and then leaps off DDTing Joe. Back uptop and Cage hits a frogsplash on Joe. That only gets two though. We cut outside the ring where Abyss has just sent Rhino into the gaurdrail. Abyss heads back inside and he and Cage look to double team Joe, but Joe fights them both off including a nice leaping kick to the face of Abyss. Cage charges at Joe but he catches him and just slams him down. Rhino is back on the apron and he wants in. Tag is made and he rushes it and out brawls Cage, Cage with a erractic swing and miss, then walks into a spinebuster for a two count. Cage goes low and is able to tag in Abyss, and it's all broken down in Orlando. All four men brawl away. Joe has Cage in the corner, Muscle Buster attempt but Abyss makes the save and then Chokeslams Joe. Rhino charges and Clotheslines Abyss, then turns his attention to Cage and hits a GORE! Rhino pins him, but the ref is signaling that he's not the legal man. Rhino comes to his senses but it's too late, as he walks right into a Blackhole Slam by Abyss for the three count.

Post Match Abyss is celebrating in the ring when Joe comes back in and the two men just staredown. Abyss makes the first move but Joe will have none of that, and he just goes ape shit on the man, slapping away with quick thrusts to the head of Abyss. Joe stomps on the man's foot, then goes against the ropes and hits a flying leg lariat on Abyss, sending the big man to the outside. Joe floows him out and the two men brawl up the rampway. Cage gets up and looks around to see no one but him and a downed Rhino. He motions for the Unprettier and brings Rhino to his feet, but the War Machine counters and looks for a Gore. Christian gets out of the way though and makes a B-line for the exit. Rhino follows him up the rampway while Tenay and West put over the Gauntlet match, and then hype up Angle's debut which is coming up...NEXT!

Match Thoughts: I'm biased...I love all four guys, so anything they do is pretty much ok for me. This was a good tag team brawl though, and the recent resurgance of the Fans love for Joe has helped his matches and any programs involving him. ***

Don't be Roode to EY

After a commercial we come to Tenay and West talking about Angle's first TNA match in a few minutes, when the crowd starts to stir. We cut to the ringside area and EY IS HERE! Eric Young is "sneaking" into the ring...actually pretty funny to see. Young goes over to the ring announcer and appears to be begging for the microphone. After some convincing, and a "let him talk" chant from the crowd EY gets his mic. Young thanks him by doing the eye to eye guesture. Gotta love EY! Young tells everyone he misses them, and asks the crowd if they miss him too. "Bring back Eric" chant brings a smile to EY's face. Tenay and West are schilling for EY's cause, Tenay even asks over the broadcast for Cornette to bring him back.

Mike Sanders is out now, he wants Eric to know that he feels his pain, and ir routin for him. He says EY has friends all over the place, and wants to bring one of them out right now. Bobby Roode comes out...his new theme music is a little too Chris Masters for my taste, but each his own. Roode tells Young after everything they went through in Team Canada together, he knows one thing for certain...he doesn't like EY. Young's face is classic...like when you yell at a little kid in front of his friends, like he wants to cry..but won't. Roode says even though he doesn't like Young, he's gonna help EY get his job back, and put in a good word. Young's all happy again. Young literaly leaps into Roodes' arms and hugs him...GREAT! Roode looks disgusted. Young starts celebrating, but makes the mistake of turning his back on Roode, and a Northern Lariat damn near decapitates poor EY. Roode hits the Roll The Dice and poses for the crowd...who ofcourse boos. Sander's tells everyone Roode is a man of his word, and he will get EY his job back, and once he does Young better show up at Genesis because Roode needs a match. You just knew we would eventually get EY/Roode on a PPV.

A Monster's Brawl

We cut backstage and see Jeremy Borasch standing by with James Mitchell and Abyss. Mitchell wants everyone to know that his weapon of mass destruction will walk out of Genesis the number one contender. Before he can really say anything else Samoa Joe damn near flies into the frame and attacks Abyss. Seeing Mitchell run for his life was great. Abyss and Joe exchange punches and blows until a whole truckload of officials show up to seperate them...hey, Jerry Lynn.

Roderick Strong -vs- Kurt Angle

Angle gingerly locks up with Strong who hits a knee to the gut of Angle and then chops away at the chest of Kurt a few times. Snap suplex and Strong gets barely a one count. Angle fights back and sends Strong to the outside, then drops to one knee and clutches his leg and back. Strong uses to the oppertunity to hit a springboard dropkick on Angle and cover for another one count. After some boots Roderick hits a double underhook suplex and goes for the cover, Angle small packages him for a two count though. Both men up and Angle wins a battle of fists and belly to bellies Strong. suplex by Angle gets a two count. Ankle lock attempt but Strong gets out by reaching the ropes. Angle still selling the pain of the attacks before goes down from a running enziguri by Strong. double underhook backbreaker gets barely a two count. Strong with a fireman's carry into a gutbuster on Angle. Strong looks fired up and heads uptop...Angle runs up the turnbuckles and tosses Strong to the matt. Angle is INTENSE! Angle Slam attempt but Strong counters, until Angle just straight overpowers the man and hits the Angle Slam with authority! Angle applies the Ankle lock and Strong taps in about 4 seconds. After the match Steiner is shown on the rampway looking down at Kurt with a smile on his face. Stiener poses and leaves. Angle heads backstage aswell.

Match Thoughts: I enjoyed what they did. I like Strong, so I was worried that this would be a straight 30 second squash. By doing the attack angle to Angle it allowed Strong to get in some decent offense and make this a bit of a match, without it coming across that Kurt needed everything he had to beat someone much lower in the TNA ranks then him. **

We get a hype video for the main event, and Tenay and West tell us not to change the channel, cause the NWA title is on the line next.

Jeff Jarrett -vs- Sting (NWA World Heavyweight Championship)

After the entrances is super special inring introduction time, and we start off with Jarrett jumping on Sting with punches prior to the bell. Sting fights back though and JJ is sent packing to the outside. Sting follows up and it's TNA MAIN EVENT STYLE! They head into the crowd after about 30 seconds of being in the ring, Sting is a punching machine, and JJ is his bag. A fan just handed Sting a tshirt and Sting used it to choke JJ. Heel tactics! After a little more clubberin JJ is tossed over the gaurdrail back to the ringside area. Sting whips him into the side of the ring, and then rolls him in. Sting "whooo's" and then slides back in, the momentery pause allowed JJ to meet Sting with elbows. fist by JJ, followed by a suplex. Another suplex, and this time JJ holds on and lifts Sting up into a back suplex. Cover gets not even two. First drop by JJ, then a knee drop. Sting is sent into the corner and JJ works him over with boots, then some chops. snapmare by JJ, kick to the back, then a flip over neckbreaker...JJ reaching into the ol moveset for that one. Sting is draped accross the middle rope and JJ with a running leg, then slides under the rope to the outside and labels Sting with a haymaker. Cover gets a two count and JJ is mocking Sting now. Clothesline knocks Sting down, and Jeff goes for a second but Sting ducks and then meets JJ with a inverted atomic drop, clothesline sends JJ outside. Sting to the apron, double axehandle to the floor and Sting works the crowd. Back inside and works over JJ's legs. scoop slam followed by a legdrop by Stinger. Cover gets a two count. Vertical suplex on JJ, another two count. JJ starts a comeback with elbows and rights, by Sting counters and dropkicks JJ to the outside. Uses the ropes to crossbody JJ outside and plays the crowd some more. Back in and Sting whips JJ into the corner...Stinger Splash! Sting walks over to JJ but JJ low blows him and both men are down as we're told we have to take our last commercial break.

Back with Jarrett in control. Jarrett busts out a kinda weak spinebuster, but holds onto Sting's legs and it's Figure Four Time! Jarrett locks in it, and Sting fights but can't seem to get the ropes. Ref counts Stinger's shoulders down twice, and Sting gets up intime. After a good 50 seconds or so, Sting makes the ropes and JJ uses the 5 count before he breaks. Knees into the side of Sting, and JJ hits a DDT. Jarrett calls for the Stroke, but Sting counters by shoving JJ into the corner, Sting charges but JJ gets the boot up. small package by JJ gets a two count. school boy gets another two, and JJ clotheslines Sting down. JJ pulls a Ric Flair spot, by going uptop but Sting catches him and tosses him off the turnbuckles to the center of the ring. Sting looks for the Scorpion Deathlock but JJ wiggles out and rolls outside. Sting follows and JJ gets sent into the gaurdrail. Back inside and Sting is feelin' it. He pulls Jeff to his feet, and Jarrett shoves him into the ref, for the required ref bump. Jarrett gets the Stroke on Sting, but no ref. See, cheaters never prosper. Jarrett goes an gets his trusty Guitar, and sizes up Stinger. Swing and a miss and Scorpian Deathlock by Stinger. Jarrett's tappin but still no ref.

Here's comes the run ins, Steiner is here and he clubs down on Sting. Angle follows quickly and clotheslines Steiner to the outside, Jarrett goes after Angle and eats an Angle Slam! Sting stumbles to his feet and gets too close to Angle, so he eats an Angle Slam too! Angle hauls ass up the ramp after Steiner who I've never seen move so fast. Both men are down for a little bit, until the ref finally gets up and starts the ten count. Both men get up around 8 and exhcnage rights and lefts, Jarrett goes for the Stroke and Sting counters, turns him around and hits the Scorpian Death Drop! Cover gets a Three and Sting is STILL your NWA World Heavyweight Champion.

Match Thoughts: Usual Jarrett main event...nothing special, but pretty solid. Angle has been all over this show, and they certainly are shifting the focus towards him and off Jarrett a bit. I'd say **1/2

Genesis News

After the Main Event we cut backstage to Jim Cornette in his office. He says tonight has cleared things up abit in TNA, and he wants to see things cleared up even more...so this what is going to happen. He says Genesis will feature the Gauntlet Match for the #1 Contendership, that we know. He's got some of the names to fill in, and wants to share them with us. He says Samoa Joe will be in it, along with Christian Cage, Rhino, Raven, Abyss, and also says he will Grant Jarrett the oppertunity to get another shot by including him.

He said last week that he already had something planned for LAX, and that was true. He just needed to see who fronted LAX the money to attack Angle...since he knows that now, at Genesis it will be Homicide, Hernandes and Scott Steiner against AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels and Kurt F'N Angle! It will be anything goes, but if Konnan moves from his position at the Spanish Announce Table and gets involved he will pink slip him right then and there.

Cornette agrees it wasn't fair the way EY lost his job, and he's already suspended ol Larry because of it, so he agrees to reinstate EY. But Young will have to compete in a match at Genesis against Roode. The winner of the match will be entered into the Gauntlet match.

Cornette also has decided to make a change to the Genesis Card. It was schedualed to be Team 3D, The James Gang, and AMW in a three way contenders match, but he is going to add The Naturals because he feels they deserve a chance to regain thier status as contenders. So the match is now a four way.

He confirms that it will be Monty Brown getting a shot at the NWA Title against Sting, and then thanks everyone for watching. We get a video recap of tonights occurances before the show ends.

Final Thoughts: Not a industry altering show or anything, but they put out a strong card and really sold the product. With the move to primetime from now on, they needed to put a strong show that would let the possible new viewer know exactly what TNA is about. I think they did a good job of that. They opened things with Angle, which makes sense...seeing has he is the most reconizable face on the roster. Then they showed the viewer what the X Division is, and had a solid match there. Add more Angle, a returning Steiner, LAX, a hot Phenominal Angle/Bently& Kazerian tag match, a pretty solid main event, a hard fought tag team encounter featuring four of thier biggest and hottest stars right now, plus Angle's debut and you got a show that should get people interested in tNA, or at the very least...curious about TNA. My biggest negative is no Nash! Why no Nash!? They could of continued his story with Aries, but opted not too. oh well. Overall it was a solid show, that let everyone know what is going on in TNA currently.

Great Opening Card. I can Imagine Roderick Strong vs. Angle is gonna be a squash mash. Obviously Strong is gonna squash Angle

2 Title Matches on the line at Impact. That is definately impressive (ps. I think you mean NWA Tag Titles rather than Heavyweight title for the tag match). Suprisingly to see a Heavyweight title defence just before Genesis. But this is a primetime special baby!

Jeff Jarrett -vs- Sting (NWA World Heavyweight Championship)

Kurt Angles inring debut -vs- Roderick Strong

The Naturals -vs- The Latin American Xchange (NWA World Heavyweight Championship)

"The Somoan Submission Machine" Somoa Joe[ & "The War Machine" Rhino -vs- Christian Cage & "The Monster" Abyss

Chris Sabin & Sonjay Dutt & Jay Lethal -vs- Petey Williams & Austin Starr & 'X Champion' Senshi

OOC: Ok, so hopefully everything has been cleared up, there is ONE Impact left before Gensis, however...seeing as the card is already set in stone (unless the injury bug hits) I thought I'd post it and allow anyone to play the predictions game if they choose too. So there is a write up Genesis preview, followed by the card. Enjoy.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling is set to unload a Genesis on the wrestling world in a mere ten days, but the card is already set for yet another epic three hour TNA pay per view! Two of TNA's championships will be on the line, as this one promises to be a memorable night in TNA history for numerous reasons.

The Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle is set to wrestle his first TNA pay per view match when he teams up with "The Phenominal" AJ Styles and "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels to take on "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner and the NWA World Tag Team Champions, The Latin American Xchange. TNA figurehead James Cornette has already announced that if Konnan should interfer in the match he would be "pink slipped on the spot", how will LAX respond knowing thier leader will not be able to help them? Will LAX and Steiner really be able to co-exist, and how will Styles and Daniels get along with Angle? Genesis will answer those questions one way or another.

After making his return on Impact a mere three weeks ago, "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown made it a point to verbally bash both Samoa Joe and Sting. Sting responded by agreeing to put the NWA World Heavyweight Championship on the line against the "Alpha Male" at Genesis! Can the "Icon of Pro Wrestling" step over his latest challange and retain the gold? Or will the "Alpha Male" 'Pounce!' on the oppertunity to become NWA Champion?

Genesis will feature the crowning of a new number one contender in the form of whoever wins the ten man Gauntlet match. We already know that former NWA Champion Jeff Jarrett will be one of the ten participants, aswell as "The Somoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe, Christian Cage, "The Monster" Abyss, Raven and "The War Machine" Rhino! With six of the ten slots filled, who will be the remaining four?

We do know that one of those remaining four slots will go to the winner of our next match. Eric Young was able to get his job back, but he paid for it in the form of a beating at the hands of "Big Money" Bobby Roode. Roode has decreed he will be the next big money maker in TNA, and a win over his old Team Canada running mate could provide that crucial first step. Espacially if he turns that win into a win in the Gauntlet match. Will Roode take out EY, or can the fans help Young overcome his fears and take one from "Big Money"?

The TNA X-Division Championship will be on the line when current champion Senshi takes on Jay Lethal at Genesis. Lethal's "Jackass" antics may not be enough to overcome the "Warrior" known as Senshi. Can Lethal put all that aside and focus on the task at hand? He'll need to if he wants to take the strap off of Senshi, because that's something Chris Sabin, Petey Williams, Sonjay Dutt and others have not been able to do.

After the recent problems between Chris Sabin and his two fellow "Jackasses", James Cornette has decided to put Sabin in the ring with one of those men to sort things out themselves. After Sonjay and Lethal walked away from Sabin after the match on Impact the other night, Sonjay will have to step into the ring with Sabin at Genesis. Will Dutt rely on the stunts? or get serious in an attempt to put one over on his running mate?

The tag team ranks in TNA are as jamn packed as ever, and as a result Cornette was decided to put four of the best tag teams in wrestling together in one match to determine a new number one contender. After the Naturals came up short against LAX on Impact, Cornette has granted them another oppertunity to become number one contenders. All they have to do is beat three incredibly talented tag teams, who all have more experience as teams. Standing in thier way will be Team 3D, The James Gang and the most decorated tag team in TNA history...America's Most Wanted.

Don't miss Genesis Sunday November 26, LIVE and only on PPV!

Good show with a lot of the matches in the spirit of TNA. One thing that did kind of cross my mind is the sheer amount of air time that Kurt Angle was on and he was a bit overused, but to be fair, I'm not sure how TNA themselves are going to handle that.

One thing is for sure, it looks like you are keeping the Angle Vs. Joe/Styles matches distant for a while which is definately something to look forward to. This is quite sad but when LAX actually interefered in Angle's initial promo, I was hoping like, awww awesome, we're gonna see Homicide take on Angle who I totally marked for in Ring of Honor but at the same time, I was like....hmmmm, i doubt that would happen. I was kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place if you know what I mean. Steiner seems a reasonable guy to kick Angle's schedules off with as I dont the two of them ever came to blows when Steiner was in the WWE. One thing that I'm thinking though, is since Genesis is the Fallen Angel, AJ and Kurt vs. LAX and Steiner, it will be interesting to see if Angle's team wins, who gets the pin. As this will be his TNA PPV debut, you'd think Angle would if any of them got the pin. Maybe a storyline starts to emerge about how Angle undermines the men that built TNA. As for the Number One Contender, my money is on Jarrett winning to have another Sting/Jarrett match. Definately would be suprised to see most of the other contenders actually pull through. Who knows how long its going to be before we get Jarrett Vs. Angle. Anyway man, good luck with Genesis, I can't wait to see how right/wrong I am lol! :)

OOC: Ok...there's a slight problem here. TNA is primetime, but with only one hour, EWR requires four matches, which is alot on a one hour show...unless the foourth is a quick squash. Lucky for me, TNA has a internet show called "Global Impact", so the first slot in my Impact booking sheet is a "Dark Match" of sorts, which for diary sake, will be broadcast on Global Impact. It'll be mainly lower card guys...so I don't see it helping my overall show scores, it'll probably hurt them...seeing as this weeks was the lowest rated segment on the card. but anyway...here is the final Impact before Genesis.

The Impact! eXperience

11-23-06

Hosts: Mike Tenay & Don West

By: Patrick Quinlan

Three days until Genesis and I'm mainly expecting this to be a throw away show, just hype and what not. But there is a definate up side, Shelley, Strong, Starr...all in the same match. I always like that. Without further ado, on to the show.

This is TNA...The new face of professional wrestling...

We immediatly cut backstage and Christian Cage is pounding on Cornette's door like a mad man. Cornette answers and Cage demands a match with Rhino tonight. Cornette responds with telling Cage that TNA has "been there, done that" and tells Cage to show a little respect and not bang on his door. Cage starts to go off on a Cage-esque rant when Jeff Jarrett steps into the picture and immediatly cuts him off. JJ is tired of waiting, he wants the Gauntlet to happen tonight so he win the title back at Genesis. Cage informs JJ that he had his oppertunity and blew it. JJ goes to respond but Cornette steps and and says he has an idea. Since both men are so eager to wrestle tonight, he's going to book them in a match. Cornette says he knows that despite the friction, JJ and CCCC are perfect for eachother, and decides to make it a tag team match, with JJ and CCCC teaming together...against Rhino and Raven.

Cornette slams the door shut leaving JJ and CCCC staring eachother down. Jarrett asks if he's happy, and calls him a "damn baby", and in lovely Christian fashion he responds with "Bite me...Triple J" before walking off. Jeff shakes his head and walks away, and Jeremy Borasch (ITS LIKE ON CUE!) steps into the picture and tells us not to go anywhere, Impact starts NOW! (Then what the hell was I just watching?)

Opening credits come and go and Tenay and West do thier thing, talking about the "huge" tag team match that was just announced and hyping up Genesis. Tenay wants to know if Cage and Jarrett can get along after everything that happened between them, and West replies with "who cares". Touche' Mr. West.

The sirens are a sounding, and that could only mean one thing...they found me! shit...hide the stash! OH WAIT...it's just Scott Steiner. scared me there. (alright...so sometimes I swing and miss...atleast I'm tryin here) The "Big Bad Booty Daddy" wants everyone to know that he's gonna take over TNA. Everyone needs to forget about "Joe's gonna kill you", and they need to worry about "The Genetic Freak killing you", he says. Steiner reminds us that Angle is nothing but a preppy bitch...incase we forgot. He says "up north" made him soft, and TNA will be the death of him, cause there is no escaping once the largest arms in wrestling get ahold of you. Steiner is gold...GOLD I SAY! He's says Fat Joe can't stop him, Rhino can't touch him, and that "Olympic Bitch can't even hold my jock." Steiner finishes by reminding us that he and LAX will kick AJ, Chris, and Kurt's scrawny asses at the ppv.

West and Tenay talk about what Steiner just said and then run down the full lineup for TNA Genesis. They tell us that two more men will be added to the Gauntlet match tonight, and we'll find out who next after a commercial.

David Young & Simon Diamond -vs- "Primetime" Elix Skipper & Ron "The Truth" Killings

Tenay and West just told us this would be an important match...and now they are completely ignoring it, instead talking about Sting/Monty for the title at the ppv. Young and Skipper start us off and they exchange punches until Skipper gets the upperhand. clothesline by Skip', then a spinkick to follow. Young pokes the eyes and tags in Diamond who clotheslines Skipper down. Some boots followed by a leaping arm breaker and Simon says things are going good for him right now. Vertical suplex and Diamond is a posturing natural. Irishwhip is reversed and Skipper clothelines Dimond, who immediatly pops back up and literaly makes a mad dash to the corner and tags in Young. It was his facial expressions that made that so funny. Skipper blocks a punch and hits one of his own. Tag to Killings who dances before hitting a leaping kick to the face of Young. Front running powerslam by Killings gets a two count. slaps in the corner, irishwhip is reversed and Young charges...allowing Killings to leap over him and flip all over the ring, diving clothesline to Young and that gets a two. Diamond comes in and forearms Killings from behind, but Skipper enters and sends Simon outside. Tag into Skipper and Young catches him with a spinebuster coming in. Cover but Skipper Matrixes out and Young gets up and walks into the Sudden Death! Killings takes out Diamond with the dropkick to the outside, and Skipper picks up the win for him and Killings. They shake hands and embrace after the match, leaving Simon to berate Young on the outside.

Match Thoughts: Kinda generic, but it did have energy in the form of Killings and Skipper. If you missed it, no big deal...if you saw it, no big deal. But Skipper and Killings are now in the Gauntlet and this should allow Elix to finally be done with the Diamonds in the Rough thing. *3/4

When we comes back from commercial Brother Ray and Brother Devon are backstage ready to talk some Genesis. Ray says the time is now, for Team 3D to finally cement themselves as the greatest tag team in the world. All they need is the NWA Tag Team titles to cement thier legacy and prove they are above all the rest in the ranks of Tag Team wrestling. Genesis will be thier oppertunity to step into position to achieve that goal. He says AMW, The James Gang and The Naturals are all very good teams, but not great. The differance is that Team 3D are a great tag team, and that will lead them to victory. OHHH MY BROTHER...TEST....

And before Devon can finish his one line of dialogue, Brother Runt is here and wants to know why they been strangers lately. Devon replies that they told him to stay out of trouble, and he went and picked a fight with Abyss, Raven and Samoa Joe. Runt want to know what his point is. Ray says the point is they are focused on what's important right now, and that's the NWA Tag Team Titles. He adds that Runt tried to advance his own carear when they where gone, and he and Devon are trying to put an exclamation point on thiers. Runt says he understands, but the look he gives when they walk away makes one think differantly.

Back at the booth and Tenay and West hype up Genesis and talk Monty Brown -vs- Sting. They introduce a video that recaps the last two months of Sting's carear in TNA, aswell as Monty's return and thier meeting.

The video is another nicely produced one, it focuses on Sting getting his shot and them winning the title at Bound For Glory. Then moves onto Monty Brown reappearing and pouncing Cage and Rhino on Impact! We see a recap of Sting and Monty's confrontation followed by various clips of Monty pouncing people, fade off with a close up of Sting's painted face.

After the video airs the Paparazzi make thier way to ring and it's time for the match I've been looking forward to...

The Paparazzi -vs- Austin Starr & Roderick Strong

Strong and Devine lock up and Strong gains the advantage, with an armdrag. A series of armdrags and arm tosses from each man follows and that is followed up by a brief chain wrestling sequence. Stand off, crowd cheers...not bad. Arm lock on Devine, he fights out of it and Strong beats on his chest with a series of chops...Devine was treated like a red headed step child there. Starr in who continues to assault Johnny. Devine counters a suplex attempt and dropkicks Starr, in comes Shelley with a nice armbar hold on Starr. Back to thier feet and Starr overpowers Shelley, off the ropes but Shelley connects with a boot to the gut and a spinning heel kick. Devine back in, ddt followed by an armbar...Shelley back in and works the mat game. Starr fights him off and a big haymaker gaines him some time to get Strong back in. Dropkick on Shelley, same to Devine, followed by a double underhook into a backbreaker to Shelley. Two count only and Devine is in to attack Strong. Starr labels him with a big lariat, then tosses him outside. Suicide dive by Starr onto Devine on the outside. Strong has shelley up..fireman's carry into a falldown gutbuster. Crowd is stirrin, Kevin Nash is out...Big boot on Starr ont he outside. The ref didn't see it, but Strong did and he turns his attention away from Shelley long enough for Alex to connect with a brutal kick to the gut, and then the Sliced Bread #2 for the victory. Nash berates Austin Starr on the outside, as we go to commercial.

Match Thoughts: Not bad, but again...not great. Far too short for my liking, but this shows been about the angles and sellin the ppv anyway. Hopefully we get a ppv rematch between these guys at some point. **

We come back from commercial with a pretty good video recapping the TNA carear of "Senshi". There is a little mentoin to him being in TNA before as Low Ki, but it mainly focusing on him winning the X title and defeating all challangers thus far, with some audio clips of Shi.

We're backstage now and Konnan is with Cide and Hernandes. Konnan says the revolution is ongoing, and LAX is going to kill them some gringos at the ppv. He adds that the ppv may be called Genesis, but LAX is going to rename it Genocide, because that's what Styles, Daniels and Angle have instore for them on Sunday. Konnan says the LAX army is growing more and more powerful, and he has offers from all over the Latin Nation from people who want to come to TNA and serve the cause. But only the best of the best can represent this revolution, and Cide and Hernandes are the two men he wants over everyone else. He promises LAX will unleash destruction the likes that Styles and Daniels have never seen...and adds that Angle needs to realise he's down south now, not up north...and LAX runs this bitch! Arriba la rasa! Cide then busts a cap in the camera man's ass. rat-a-tat-tat!

Rhino & Raven -vs- Jeff Jarrett & Christian Cage

It's a Total Nonstop Action stallmate to start! Cage wants nothing to do with Raven, and demands he tag in Rhino. After a little bit he instead punches Cage in the face. More punches follow, knee to the gut, punches again, and then an irish whip followed by a clothesline. Cover gets one. Firsts from Raven, discuss clothesline for two. Into the corner and Raven stomps away. Cage fights back though with eye rack of doom! Clothesline by Cage. Reverse DDT into a neckbreaker by Cage. stomps away and in comes JJ. Cage and JJ exchanges words and JJ kicks and punches away on Raven. Vertical suplex by Jarrett. JJ places Raven on the middle ropes, throat firsts and charges with a running leg. Slingshot rope guillitine by JJ for a two count. Rhino tries to get the crowd and Raven fired up. back suplex from JJ and Raven plays possum allowing for the tag to Rhino. Clothesline for JJ and Cage, back drop of JJ and then a Spinebuster on Cage. Belley to Belly on JJ for a two count. Rhino then gets low blowed by Jarrett and hit with a DDT. Tag to Cage who scoop slams Rhino. Leg drop and then rapid punches to the head. We're told to stay right where we are, it's a commercial! But what you have to pee?

Back with Jarrett with a sleeper hold on Raven. We're told JJ/Cage have controlled the whole match during the break, and Raven shows signs of fightin back, but goes against the ropes in the wring place and Cage knees him in the back allowing JJ hit a swinging neckbreaker, that gets two. Vertical suplex by JJ, another but Raven blocks it and suplexes him. Tag to Cage and Christian gets to Raven before he can tag in Rhino. Cage with a rib breaker, covers for two. Raven ducks a clothesline and hits one of his own, allowing for the tag to Rhino. Clotheline city from the War Machine. Suplex on Cage. Powerslam to Jarrett. Press slam to Christian, and it's GORE time! But JJ intervens and goes for the Stroke, countered but Cage uses the time to recover and hit a Old school Xspultion on Rhino. Raven back in punches away on Cage. into the corner with a running clothesline followed by a bulldog. Jarrett eats a kick to the face from Raven. Cage charges and clotheslines himself and Raven over the top to the outside. Rhino and Jarrett both recover and Rhino ducks a clothesline and answer with a gore..gore..GORE! But the ref has actually been paying attention tonight and tells Rhino he can't pin JJ because he's not the legal man. Commotion ensues and it's ABYSS! Rhino walks into a Blackhole Slam! Raven is back in and he eats a Blackhole Slam too! More crowd noise and here comes Samoa Joe! Rapid fire punches to Abyss, against the ropes but Abyss catches him...chokeslam is countered, big running boot sends Abyss to the floor. Cage from behind, unprettier is countered and Joe locks in the Kotita clutch! Jarrett recovers and breaks the move...Stroke to Joe is countered, irishwhip and a big snap powerslam by Joe. Bobby Roode is now in, Nothern Lariat to Joe! Raven back in...Raven Effect to Roode! Cage back up, Unprettier to Raven! Rhino charges and Gores Cage! Jarrett recovers and Strokes Rhino! Joe to his feet again, overpowers Cage into the corner...Muscle Buster! Abyss back in Blackhole Slam on Joe! Abyss is the only one left standing as the announcers pimp the ppv and we start to fade to black.

Match Thoughts: You just get the feelingatleast half of the match wasn't show due to the commercial break...but it was a pretty good brawl regardless. Big ol clusterf*ck to end, but it got the main guys in the Gaunltet onscreen at once, and provided for a possible record when it comes to finishers executed in a a 2-3 minute period. I countered eleven...that's alot of finishers. **3/4

We fade out, then in to an almost empty gym. He see Kurt Angle sitting on the apron of a ring, and as we fade out we see Styles and Daniels standing next to him.

Angle says that everyone wants to know if Angle can play nice with others, how he, AJ and Daniels will co-exist at the ppv. Angle says there is no friction, only a common goal between the three of them. They each want to put LAX down like a rapid dog that's not fit to exist anymore. LAX are nothing but thugs, and Angle's TNA doesn't need thugs. He adds that he's above confident, not only because he can defeat any of LAX's members and Scott Steiner, but because standing next to him sunday night will be two of the most gifted and decorated athletes in TNA History. A multiple time NWA Tag Team Champion and Two time X Champion in Chris Daniels, and TNA's only triple crown winner in AJ Styles.

Styles chimes in that he's sick of LAX's talk and tactics, that with Konnan out of the way they will not fail at Genesis, because failure is not an option. Not when your an Olympic Gold Metalist, not when your Phenominal, and not when your "God's gift to professional wrestling". I shit you not...he said it. Daniels is GOD!

It's The Fallen Angle's turn for some face time. He says it's time for LAX to get punked out once and for all. That all the members of the LAX Nation don't compare to power that is within the Fallen Angle's Army. At Gensis Konnan will be forced to do what he does best...sit on his ass and run and his mouth. And without K-Dawg to back them up, Cide and Hernandes are just chickens for the slaughter. He says he knows we've heard it before...but this is the dawning of a new era in TNA, and it's not just internet gossip this time, it's not a press release either. It's the gospel, according to the Fallen Angel. DANIELS IS GOD DAMNIT!

This has been a presentation of TNA Entertainment...the new face of Professional Wrestling.

Show Thoughts: Really a hype show, they schilled the ppv and this was one of those shows that wasn't really about the wrestling. But as hype shows go...this wasn't bad at all. The LAX and Angle/Styles/Daniels interviews where entertaining and well done. Steiner was his usual bad ass self. The matches were not storng tonight, but the segments where very well done. For a wrestling show...like a C, but for a ppv ad, it's an A+. It was a mostly enjoyable 60 minutes...that's what matters.

No DQ Street Fight

'NWA Tag Team Champions' LAX & Scott Stiner -vs- AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels & Kurt Angle

Your obviously going to hype Angle like crazy, might as well do it here.

NWA World Heavyweight Championship

Monty Brown -vs- 'NWA Champion' Sting

I doubt you'll give the title to Brown, reminds me of Kane/Benoit in '04.

TNA X Championship

Jay Lethal -vs- 'TNA X Champion' Senshi

I can see Senshi retaining here as well, Lethal isn't that big yet.

Gauntlet For The Number One Contendership

Jeff Jarrett -vs- Raven -vs- Rhino -vs- Abyss -vs- Christian Cage -vs- Samoa Joe -vs- Four TBDs

IMO, Jarrett should stay out of the title scene, and let Joe enter it. That way, we get the epic Joe/Sting match that everyone wants.

NWA World Tag Team Championship Contenders Match

Team 3D -vs- The Naturals -vs- AMW -vs- James Gang

Runt will screw Team 3D over. Man I hate that name.

Winner Advances to the Guantlet Match

Eric Young -vs- Bobby Roode

More to gain I guess.

Chris Sabin -vs- Sonjay Dutt

Bigger name, plus from my knowledge, this has no build.

So far, you've been putting out some solid shows, can't wait for the new direction you take after Genesis.

Senshi is far more overo than Lethal so Senshi to win

Gauntlet For The Number One Contendership

Jeff Jarrett -vs- Raven -vs- Rhino -vs- Abyss -vs- Christian Cage -vs- Samoa Joe -vs- Four TBDs

I'd love to say someone else is going to win it by keeping Jarrett out of the title piture is almost impossible...so im going to go with Jarrett.

NWA World Tag Team Championship Contenders Match

Team 3D -vs- The Naturals -vs- AMW -vs- James Gang

Im going to go wild and say James Gang

Winner Advances to the Guantlet Match

Eric Young -vs- Bobby Roode

- Keep it on Senshi

Gauntlet For The Number One Contendership

Winner Advances to the Guantlet Match

Eric Young -vs- Bobby Roode

Chris Sabin -vs- Sonjay Dutt

- He's better

Overall I like the card, nothing really big, but that's ok. I'm not gonna go into reviewing the shows before you post more, so I'm just gonna leave predictions for now.

This card is a bit funny to me. Not funny 'ha ha' like it's here to amuse me, but more like Rita Rudner funny. (pesci is gold bitches, .... anyway) It's funny because while it seems big, it really isn't. The outcomes here are obviously to set direction, not set in stone. With that in mind, seeing what names are against what names, you'd figure this PPV would be bigger than it is. Interesting. Moving on to the matches. I'm not going to predict who will win, but rather give my opinions on who I think should win and why. Yes, HTTK has had too many pills today. (more on this in a moment)

No DQ Street Fight

'NWA Tag Team Champions' LAX & Scott Stiner -vs- AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels & Kurt Angle

I honestly think that with the character that Angle has portrayed in the past, it would be awesome to see LAX cheat and win here. I'd also love to see Steiner make an attempt to be the actual wrestler he used to be when going toe to toe with Angle. You can make Angle look very good here and still have him lose the match, and having Styles and Daniles lose here doesn't do a damn thing to them in terms of 'bad.'

NWA World Heavyweight Championship

Monty Brown -vs- 'NWA Champion' Sting

Monty Brown should attempt his shoulder block of doom, miss, get tangled in the ropes at the neck, and hang there until he quits breathing. All he is, is a more talented Kevin Greene/Mongo. Problem is, when you're twenty times better than guys with zero talent, you're only at 20 on the talent scale. Brown eats cock. Sting should get a solid run damnit.

TNA X Championship

Jay Lethal -vs- 'TNA X Champion' Senshi

Here, I'd have Lethal win. TWAT ?!?! ... Yes, Lethal. At the beginning, the X-Division was advertised as an 'anything can happen' yadda yadda .... so do it here. Stake a claim for your company with this division, and start with this match.

Gauntlet For The Number One Contendership

Jeff Jarrett -vs- Raven -vs- Rhino -vs- Abyss -vs- Christian Cage -vs- Samoa Joe -vs- Four TBDs

Two choices here. Raven/Christian. They are the characters with the most depth, and would be the most credible to end Sting's reign, and then turn it over to Angle or Joe. These two men provide the most depth for your company in terms of ongoing storylines and ability to work with people.

NWA World Tag Team Championship Contenders Match

Team 3D -vs- The Naturals -vs- AMW -vs- James Gang

The Naturals or AMW need to walk out of this one. HUH ? Yup, one of those too. I can see the finish too. Runt screwing 3D, James gang laughing, either Nats or AMW taking advantage and getting the pin. Your younger portion of the roster should be hungrier than the older ones.

Winner Advances to the Guantlet Match

Eric Young -vs- Bobby Roode

Start the Roode push here.

Chris Sabin -vs- Sonjay Dutt

Sabin is a good talent and can eventually help out in many compacities. He needs to be built a bit more first. Insert hammer and nail.

The Genesis eXperience

11-26-06

Hosts: Mike Tenay & Don West

By: Patrick Quinlan

So it's Genesis time...another PPV main evented by a multi-man tag, but the card itself is solid, and it's the first TNA PPV match for Kurt Angle...so let's get right to it, shall we?

This is TNA...The new face of professional wrestling

Opening video here is like the trailer for the movie "Crash"..multiple storylines all intersecting in a wrestling Genesis...it's actually really well done. Tenay and West hype the show and talk Angle...then some more Angle...then a little bit more...oh yea...there are five other guys in that match too, they mentoin them. Recap of all the Sabin/Dutt/Lethal happenings lately, and it's right to our first contest.

Sonjay Dutt -vs- Chris Sabin

They stare down to stare, then circle eachother. Some chain wrestling early on, as both men feel eachother out. Tenay puts over the fact that they been a tag team before, and almost one the NWA Tag Titles last year on a TNA PPV. I remember that...it was against AMW...don't remember what PPV though...I'll have to google it later. GOOGLE! Sorry...I just like typing and saying that word...it's fun. Cruiserweight reverse sequence and the crowd likes it. They exchange arm drags and the like, then Sabin drops down and Dutt goes off the ropes, another dropdown, leap frog...go around into a roll up, for a two. small packages are exchange for two, then they zip into the usual roll/counter roll nearfall sequence. Back up with a stand off...crowd kinda dug it. Sabin with chops that are then returned by Dutt, but Sabin overpowers him and chops away in the corner. vertical suplex is countered and Dutt with a victory roll for a two. snapmare by Sabin, Dutt with a sleeper, Sabin with a jump up real high then fall down snapmare on Dutt. Dropkick by Sabin, but Dutt slapped it away, lying headlock by Dutt. Back up and Sabin fights it out, off the ropes but Dutt snaps off a hurricanrana on Sabin. Sabin retreats to the outside and Sonjay moonsaults off the ropes onto Sabin. cool. Back inside after a lil bit, and Sonjay backs him into the corner, supercanrana gets him a two count. Springboard crossbody is another two. Sabin counters a a whip with a kick to the gut, tornado DDT by Sabin gets two. Powerbomb attempt but Dutt rolls through and looks for a hurricanrana, Sabins holds on and powerbombs him though, getting a two count. Dutt counters a german attempt with that flipover slicedbread move for a two count. Backslide by Dutt but Sabin rolls through and dropkicks the face of Dutt for a two count. Dutt charges and Sabin backbody drops him to the outside. Sabin with a suicide Dive onto Dutt on the floor. Back in and Sabin with a slingshot splash for a two count. Suplex by Sabin gets another two. They exchange chops and Sabin gets the better with a basement dropkick. Small package and several more pinfall attempts all get a two count. Dutt counters a powerbomb with a hurricanrana for two. Sprinkler by Dutt, then off the ropes with an elbow drop for two again. Uptop and Dutt jumps off, but Sabin catches him with a dropkick. Both men down...both men up. Exhcnage punches, a enziguri by Sabin connects, Cradleshock is countered into a Dragonrana! No three though. They work in another pinfall sequence and Sabin looks for the Cradle Shock again, but no go. Neckbreaker by Dutt. Dutt uptop again, hits a stage dive for a two count. Dutt catches Sabins' foot, but Sabin gets an enziguri, then sets him up and hits the Hesetation dropkick for two. Dutt counters a Sabin move with a spinning DDT. Dutt goes to the apron, springboard hurricanrana! Back out again, but this time Dutt springboards in and Sabin catches him with a NASTY looking leaping Leg Lariat/Kick to the face of Dutt, then hits the Cradleshock for the win! After the match Sabin helps Dutt to his feet, and holds out his hand...Dutt accepts and they embrace. Crowd cheers...damn these chick flicks!

Winner: Chris Sabin

Match Thoughts:Pretty solid opening bout, not as "spotty" as your normal Dutt match either. They've worked together plenty of times before, and because of this have a pretty good chemistry together. Again, it was nothing amazing, but a solid way to open the show. **3/4

The talk more about the Main Event and the NWA Title match, then mentoin the X division title match later, and finally hype the Gauntlet match. Eric Young is the fans rallying up his supporters...Go EY! It's your J.O.B. Day! Hey...I can have a prediction once and awhile..right?

Bobby Roode -vs- Eric Young

Young is reluctant to partake in the reindeer games at first, until Roode slaps the taste out of his mouth...that'll make ya wanna punch anyone..so he does. They brawl and Roode logically gets the better of the smaller EY. Roode with some knee lifts to EY, EY fights back with a poke to eye...then tell the ref it's ok...cause they see "eye to eye". HAHA! The ref doesn't seem to care one way or the other. Snapmare by EY, then a dropkick to the back of Roode. Headlock by EY...Roode fights up and literally tosses Young. Young runs at Roode and punches away until Roode clubs him down. Against the ropes and Roode with a forearm smash. Cover gets a two count. Delay vertical suplex by Roode. He then repeats the move to make sure we all saw it. Blantant Choke...but the ref takes his time with the break count. This is the first time I've seen this ref in TNA..he doesn't seem to care...literally. It's kinda adding to the match. Roode tosses EY into the corner, running clothesline attempt but EY gets the boots up, then hits a running neckbreaker on Roode. Crowd cheers. EY points to himself and the crowd cheers some more, then points to Roode and they boo. It amuses him, so he does about a half dozen more times. He did that a couple months ago on PPV, but if it works..keep it in. Roode isn't as amused though, and attacks Young. Young fights back and leg sweeps Roode, then plays the crowd like a fiddle....do people still play those? EY ont he attack, hits a scoop slam and a leg drop. Cover gets a two count. Roode looks for a powerslam but Young slides off his back and rolls him up for another two. EY with a swinging neckbreaker followed by a DDT on Roode. Sanders is on the apron and jaw jacks with EY. Roode charges but EY moves and he hits Sanders instead. Dropkick by EY for a two count. Whip into the corner, but Roode moves on the ensueing charge, and then nails the Nothern Lariat for the win.

Winner: Bobby Roode

Match Thoughts: Not too much to this one...the crowd was into Young, but you just knew he wasn't going over. Hell...everyone in the arena knew it I think. I thought this would go first because the crowd is so into Young, but it clearly wouldn't of made for as good an opening to the show. Better to through it second, before you start getting to the matches that matter more. *3/4

Backstage Douglas tells the Naturals tonight is there night, and they need to regain those titles. Tenay and West talk about the NWA Tag Team scene, and then we're shown a video hyping up the four teams in our next match.

The James Gang -vs- America's Most Wanted -vs- The Naturals -vs- Team 3D

This is apparently elimination rules...don't remember that being advertised though, oh well. Kip and Storm will start us off here, and they lock up and Kip backs Strom into the corner. Runt celebrates and leaves the ring, Harris is up...but so is Devon and a 3D is hit just as the ref recovers, and that's all she wrote.

Senshi up top...WARROIRS WAY! And that's all she wrote folks!

After the match Sabin enters the ring and he and Shi stare down...I don't think Shi knows what happened, and the announcers mentoin that too.Shi looks ready for a fight, but then Sabin turns and starts putting the boots to Lethal. Shi is confused, but realises he still has the title, so he just poses with it and leaves. Sabin has a chair now, Cradleshock to Lethal on the chair! The crowd seems to have bought the heel turn though...so ok then.

Winner Senshi (retains TNA X Championship)

Match Thoughts: Excellant X division match put on by these two. Very stiff and hard hitting, throw in a few spots, and a good storyline that the match told, and you got yourself a winner. The Sabin heel turn is surprising though, but the match was very well laid out and these guys worked thier asses off. ***3/4

Crummy result, as the ref has called for the bell and this will be a no contest.

Winner: No contest. Double DQ.

Match Thoughts: The double DQ was a total letdown...damn it Russo! The battle royal part was fun though...so was seeing Starr play such a big roll in it, I thought for sure he would be the first or second elimination. The end was good until the Double DQ..I smell rematch between these two next month, because, ya know...the money's in the rematch BABY! Overall it was a good showing by most, but a rather dissapointing ending. No rating for the battle royal part. A solid *** for the Joe/Abyss "match" at the end of it.

Tenay and West put over the effort by the two men, and laugh at Jarrett a little bit more for getting eliminated when he did. Backstage we see that Rhino and Christian haven't stopped brawling yet, then we cut back where Jeremy Borasch is waiting for someone.

That someone is Sabin, and Sabin refuses to answer any questions regarding his actions. The Paparrazzi come into the scene and Shelley feels what Sabin did deserves an applause. Big KEVIN NASH is here. Nash wants to talk to Sabin, but Sabin isn't interested. Nash says he knows they had differances in the past, but that was before Nash had so much respect for Sabin. He says Sabin made the hard choice, and turned his back on his friends, because...Nash knows that they where holding Sabin back. And Kev knows that Sabin knew it too. Shelley wants Sabin to hit the town with them tonight, while Devine just kind of stands there and smiles. Nash says the first round is on him, and Sabin should go..because Nash has a business idea to lay out in front of Sabin. Sabin looks hesistant, but goes along for the "free beer".

Gringo Killah on Daniels, the ref is back in ....1....2.....3! LAX and Stiener win!

Winners The Latin American Xchange & Scott Steiner

Match Thoughts: This was all sorts of awesome! The finish is abit surprising, but it's not like Angle did the job or anything, that went to Daniels. Rick Steiner in TNA makes no sense to me, but what ever. The match itself was great! Great spots, tons of finishers, so high flying, some chain wrestling and brawling...what more could you ask for out of one match? The X Title match was the better match in terms of just inring action, in my opinion, but with all the drama and hype and spots and crowd reaction and everything...this has to be your match of the night. So that's how I'll rate it. ****

The match is over, but the Steiner's are beating on Angle and Konnan has made his way to ringside. Slpjack to the head of AJ! Hernandes then hits the BORDER TOSS on AJ! A hoard of officials have made thier way to the ringside area to seperate the Steiners and Angle, Angle has gotten a second wind and trying like a mad man to get at Rick and Scott. But this means LAX is free to inflict damage on AJ and Daniels...Konnan directs the mugging, and then they bury Daniels and Styles in the Mexican flag. as we see one more shot of Angle screaming at the Stieners while beng restrained by atleast a dozen refs.

This has been a presentation of TNA Entertainment, the new face of Professional Wrestling...

Final Thoughts: A Solid pay per view. Three matches of ***+ stars, and only one match that really wasn't any good. Some definate surprises too, that could make things interesting. Austin Starr eliminating JJ in the Gauntlet..surprising. Sabin's heel turn, although...it is very Russoesque, was a surprise. And so was Rick's debut in the main event...that's a very questionable surprise though. The main event was fantastic, the X title match was awesome, and overall there was alot of stuff to keep you entertained. that's the ultimate goal. I'd say order the replay, if for nothing else than the main event, which was..as said, fantastic. Seeya next time.

Man, I lost all my feedback posts :(

Anyways, let me sum this up, you know how to explain whether a match is good, bad, decent or whatever it is & that my friend, is a very good thing to be able to do.

Rick coming back to TNA was a surprise, but with the Russo factor involved, I guess you need to throw things like these out there.

So the PPV...

Sonjay Dutt vs Chris Sabin - Not much to say here, a little spot fest and I'm glad Sabin won as he should do.

Next match would probably have been very dull in real life, but it serveds its gimmick purpose so yeah.

3D won the tag match :D That's good, I really hope you can use 3D better than they were really used, as they could be used so much better.

Senshi retained, that's good

wow, the gauntlen match plus Abyss vs Joe must have been sweet, maybe even have been one of the best things on the card. Ending in a double DQ is Russo's style, but its not that bad, just gives reason for more development.

And of course Sting won the title xD so not much to say there.

I'm a little surprised at the last match, Rick Steiner in TNA? I have no idea where you will go with this, but I will follow

So overall very good PPV (Y)
