Batch Process

Recommended Posts

Is anyone familar with how to use actions, and the batch process command, to repeayt the same procedure to multiple images? I'm trying to recolor animated sprites, which requires changing the hue of a few hundred images. each representing a frame in various animations. I know I can theoretically do this, but I'm not sure how. I've never used to batch process command, or actions, and wonder if anyone has. If you can help me out, or point me in the right direction, I'd love you forever.

Yeah, I use this at work a lot. We have to process hundreds upon hundreds of estate agent photos, supposedly by hand. I'm a lazy fuck.

Here's the basics.

The most common cock up I make is accidentally adding a [sAVE] step in the action, not neccessary, use the Save and Close bit from the batch dialogue box, just make sure you have a copy of all your sprites in case the world implodes.

Oh, when you record your action, don't use keyboard shortcuts, the action won't record them (At least it didn't in Photoshop 7.0, might be fixed now), so for hue and saturation, go to image > adjustments > hue and not simply ctrl+u
