not really liking it at all . the background looks like the cloud filter with some brushes and the cut doesn't even stand out

Yeah I'm with Doc. It looks cool and all but it looks like the cut is getting sucked into the background

no cloud filter used, just brushes, different blending etc. Thanks for the comments so far. I agree the cut doesn't work, I spent ages trying to get the cut to look good, but it doesn't quite work.

I like the blending of the cut to be honest. I'm not keen on the background, though, perhaps throwing in a few stocks or mixing it up with some more brushes would make it look better because at the moment it just looks like a generic Photoshop background. The lack of a border and the boring text (try a new font/size, and make it stand out with either colours, drop shadows or strokes for example) are big negatives for me. Also, there's a hell of a lot of space there, not the greatest use of it with tiny text like that considering how big the whole image is.

Cheers AD. I agree with that. It does look like a generic photoshop background, but i thought it looked pretty cool. I could base it off a stock for sure, but i'd have to either start again or mess around with it quite a lot to fit it in. Probably easier to start again.

With the text, I just went for simplicity, because i don't like strokes/bevels i just kinda went for a basic white text.

i kinda like the fact that Daniels is ingulfed by the back ground, makes its more mysteriously appealing, as if he is emerging from the clouded light design you used for the background...I personally think it has very good artistic merit, I say good job my friend
