PWUPowerSurge2.jpg

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (New Alhambra Arena)

February 16, 2007

1:00pm, Gates Open at Noon

PWU Power Surge opens with a bang as the crowd goes wild when James Mitchell begins his walk down to the ring. With Power Surge being the first show in two months for Pro Wrestling Unplugged, the rowdy crowd is ready to see some of the PWU's new, and old stars. Mitchell enters the ring and is given the microphone from Steve Owen who announces Jim Mitchell as the new General Manager of Pro Wrestling Unplugged. Mitchell looks out into the crowd who begin to chant "PWU" as James looks around.

James Mitchell: Tonight is the resurgence of Pro Wrestling Unplugged! And what a main event that my sadistic mind has come up with for you tonight. As most of you know, the main event will be a single ring, War Games match. In a cell type structure where all ten men start out in an all out war. The only way to defeat your opponent is to knock them out. After one person is knocked out from either team, the match is over. And hopefully with the end of the match, will come the end of this bitter feud between Trent Acid and Johnny Kashmere.

All the people in the crowd begin chanting for Trent Acid as Mitchell waits for the arena to quiet down. With the entire arena, mostly of males, going nuts, James Mitchell tells them that he has another announcement he wants to make.

James Mitchell: In other news, Pro Wrestling Unplugged has sent an offer to WWN television network in an opportunity to bring you Pro Wrestling Unplugged action each and every week. Whether they accept or not has yet to be seen, but when the news is brought, we will deliver it. However, I think it's time we give you what you all want. Some extreme action!

James Mitchell tosses the mic outside and back to Steve Owen as he makes his way to the back. The crowd get's geared up for the opening contest of the night. Mitchell doesn't even make a solom face as he goes behind the curtain and out of site from the crowd.

Single's Match

Delirious vs. Jigsaw

Referee: Chris Bakias

Delirious starts off with some zany action as he begins running around the ring and speaking in tongue as Jigsaw just stares at him. Suddenly, Delirious stops and looks at Jigsaw. He begins shaking his head and going bonkers until Jigsaw delivers a dropkick to the chest of Delirious. He falls to the ground and gives Jigsaw time to hit a top rope elbow drop which causes Delirious to go into a stiff position. Jigsaw goes down for the pinfall, but is only able to get a one count. Delirious pops up and looks at Jigsaw. He runs at him and drops him with a rolling kick to the chin. Placing Jigsaw close to the ropes, Delirious goes to the outside and flips over the ropes, hitting a plancha of sorts.

The wacky one proceeds to put the boots to the chest of Jigsaw. Delirious pops to the top rope and looks for a moonsault, but Jigsaw is able to put his knee's up. This causes Delirious to go crawling to the outside as he tries to recover from the knees. Jigsaw see's this opportunity and runs against the ropes only to jump over them and hit a front flip on Delirious. The referee begins to count as both men lie on the ground. Delirious is the first one in the ring followed by Jigsaw who just barely makes it in at 9. Delirious locks in a Camel Clutch, making Jigsaw reach for the ropes. He grabs ahold of the bottom rope, and makes Delirious let go of the hold.

Trying to end the match, Delirious climbs to the top rope and waits for Jigsaw to get up. When he does, Delirious shoots off with a tornado DDT. Grabbing Jigsaw's arms, he twists them while on the ground and locks in the Cobra Clutch Crossface. Jigsaw tries rolling over, but is unsuccessful. Jigsaw then tries putting his feet or arms on the ropes, but isn't able to reach them, causing him to finally give in to the pain. As Jigsaw taps out, Delirious get's up and runs around the ring, chanting in Deliriousness. Referee Chris Bakias raises his hand as Delirious makes his way to the back.

Preparing for the next match will be the true battle of two speedsters as Quiet Storm will battle Kevin Steen. The Canadian Dream will face off against another Canadian, however we only know him as Quiet Storm. As both men make their way down to the ring, Quiet Storm hear’s the sound of cheers while Kevin Steen become’s disgruntled after hearing nothing but boo’s. Who will be able to win in the battle of the quickness?

Single's Match

Quiet Storm vs. Kevin Steen

Referee: Frank Stool

Both men start off by locking horns with each other. Quiet Storm pushes Steen away, but Kevin comes back for more. Quiet once again pushes Steen away, causing anger for Kevin. It looks as if "The Canadian Dream" is going in for another lock-up, but instead hits a dropkick to the knee of Quiet, causing him to fall to the ground. Running against the ropes, Steen delivers a running senton across Storm's back. Stopping in his tracks after hitting it, Steen delivers a standing moonsault right on the lower back of Quiet Storm.

Back up, the young Canadian drops a leg across the leg of Storm and locks in a leg lock, but Storm is able to reach the ropes. As Quiet Storm pulls himself up after the move, Steen runs at him, but this time it's Storm who hit's a chop block on Steen's shin. Thus, while giving Storm time to get back fully up, Steen is able to get up. Quiet runs at Steen and pulls out a tornado DDT right on Steen's head. Quiet rolls him over but is only able to get a two count. Quiet Storm picks up Steen by the neck and set's him up for the Storm Cradle Driver. As Quiet Storm picks up Kevin, Steen is able to roll over and lock in a School Boy. As referee Stool goes down for the cover, Kevin Steen pulls up on the lower area of Quiet Storm, gaining leverage and the victory with a three count.

After the match, Steen get's his hand raised and runs to the entrance ramp as the crowd looks on. Quiet Storm is in the ring and looks down to him and telling him to come on and try it again. Steen seems reluctant and instead ops to go to the back as his night is over. Quiet Storm leaves the ring as the fans clap for him after putting on one hell of a match with an up and commer in the business.

The next match is the first of three title matches as Matt Morgan is going to take on Kory Chavis for the PWU International Title. Matt Morgan has been working quite a bit over in Japan with PRIDE, so it will be interesting to see if he can hang with Chavis, formerly known as Rainman. Chavis, whom has been training hard for this match is ready to take on the mountain of a man in Matt Morgan. As Chavis makes his way to the ring, he get's a great reception from the crowd, but the same can't be said for Matt Morgan as he enters the ring to a loud section of boo's, making Morgan angry. Knowing this is going to be a physical match, Chavis get's himself pumped up in the ring as referee Shane Rogers rings the bell.

PWU International Title

Kory Chavis vs. Matt Morgan

Referee: Shane Rogers

Kory Chavis starts off slowly, trying to find a week spot in Morgan's game but is unable to as Morgan whips him against the ropes. Chavis comes back but is drilled right in the face with a big boot. Morgan grabs Chavis and picks him back up. He goes to whip him to the ropes, but hangs on and instead connects with a giant clothesline on Chavis which turns him inside out. Morgan goes down for the pinfall, 1..2..No.. Chavis is able to get his shoulder up in time. Morgan once again picks up Chavis and places him between his legs. He throws him up and goes for a powerbomb, but Chavis is able to do a front roll out of it and hit a reverse neckbreaker on Morgan, sending the big man down. Now seeing what he is up against, Chavis almost goes into despiration mode.

He drops elbow after elbow after elbow on the giant, but just isn't able to keep him down. Morgan is able to get back up to a stable base but is met with a dropkick that sends him reeling back into a corner. Chavis runs at him for a hard hitting clothesline but instead is derailed with a huge spinebuster. Morgan, knowing Chavis is injured, takes his time and plays to the crowd who begins booing him. He throws his hands at them, as if saying he doesn't care. Morgan jumps onto Chavis and begins pummeling him with hard shots to the face while in a mount position. After landing about four shots, Morgan get's off of Chavis and backs away for a second.

Morgan picks up Chavis and grabs him by the throat with one hand. Chavis kicks him in the gut and bounces off of the ropes. He looks like he was going for a clothesline, but instead get's caught and his momentum is taken against him as he is hoisted in the air and dropped hard on his back with a chokeslam. He covers him, but somehow Chavis is able to barely kick out again! Morgan grabs him by the throat and lifts him back up. He then procedes to drop him with to more crushing chokeslams and goes for the cover one more time. 1...2...3... Referee Shane Rogers takes the PWU International Title from Steve Owen and hands the belt to the new champion in the form of Matt Morgan. Chavis rolls out of the ring and walks to the back with his head down as Matt Morgan stands in the ring, celebrating with his title. The crowd boo's him and begins chanting for Chavis who looks at them and mouths "Thank You".

As we get ready for the next match, Sabian comes out from the back. He looks pissed as he walks down to the ring, not acknowleding any of the fans. He walks over to Steve Owen and takes his microphone. Sabian rolls in the ring with the microphone and walks around, but not before raising his arms up in the air. Finally, as if he is ready to speak in this impromptu promo which it appears as if nobody was expecting.

Sabian: What in the blue hell is this? I get signed by Pro Wrestling Unplugged to wrestle and on their return show, they don't even add me to the card? What is that kind of shit? I am a member of the Blackout and am a top contender on the Indy circut and expect to be treated like one. I am one of the best damn performers that the PWU has and they don't even include me in any matches?!

Sabian put's the microphone down for a second and recieves a "Sa-Bi-An" chant from the crowd. They continue on for around a minute as Sabian goes to speak again but is cut off by the loudness of the cheering from the crowd. He smiles and shake his head.

Sabian: See Mitchell! I am so over with the crowd, yet you still don't even think about adding me to the card. They came here tonight to see some Sabian and that is just what they are getting. You can't hold me down, and I will one day rise to the occasion and become the PWU Champion. Whether James Mitchell likes it or not, I am going to do it for the fans! So, James Mitchell, I am throwing out an open challenge for PWU Red Alert next month. Whether your sorry ass likes it or not!

Dropping the microphone, Sabian leaves the ring to a crowd of cheers as he gives high fives to the fans all around the ring. As he makes his way to the back, he throws his shirt out into the crowd as a lucky fan is able to catch the shirt from the "future" PWU Champion. As he disappears behind the curtain, a clothesline of some sort begins being lowered from the roof.

PWU Tri-State Tag Team Titles-TLC Match

Up in Smoke vs. Fast and Furious vs. Cape Fear

Referee: Chris Bakias

Both Up in Smoke and Fast and Furious enter the ring at the same time as they take out the men with the steel chairs. It's all pandemonium for the first few minutes until Cape Fear is tossed over the top rope. Cheech and Jerelle Clarke start doing battle as does Cloudy and Jay Fury. Fury is able to deliver a DDT onto Cloudy as Clarke attempts a piledriver, but it's reversed into a backbody drop. On the outside, El Generico and Quicksilver grab three tables and throw them in the ring. Both men then grab a ladder and set them up on the outside. As Cheech and Jay Fury begin to battle. Both men are cut off though when Quicksilver and El Generico hit flying crossbody's from the top of the ladder onto Cheech and Jay Fury. Now, only Cape Fear are the only men standing. They grab the three tables and set them up in various area's.

Generico and Quicksilver grab Jay Fury and pick him up for a double suplex, but Jerelle Clarke comes in for the save and grabs Fury's feet before he can be lifted up. Clarke then proceeds to hit a flying dropkick to the face of Quicksilver which sends him on the table. As Fury handle's Generico, Jerelle Clarke climbs to the top rope and delivers a 630 on Quicksilver through the table. Clarke dumps his lifeless body out of the ring. Cheech comes over and hits Fury in the back with a steel chair and another shot over the head which sends him over the top rope and to the outside. Cloudy delivers a steel chair shot to Jerelle Clarke on the outside which knocks him out. It's now Up in Smoke and El Generico left in the ring.

Cloudy grabs Generico and throws him on the table as he holds his feet down. Cheech climbs to the top rope and shoots off, hitting a shooting star press though a table on Generico. Both Cheech and Cloudy grab a ladder and set them up in the ring as they begin to climb them. Suddenly, Quicksilver comes from nowhere and pushes both ladders over as Up in Smoke go falling to the outside. It's now up to Quicksilver, whom begins to climb the ladder that bounced off the ropes to him. Quicksilver makes his way up but is greeted by Jay Fury. As they begin to battle, Jerelle Clarke and El Generico climb up the other ladder as Up in Smoke are knocked out on the outside.

Jerelle and Generico begin to battle until Generico hits a flying hurricanrana that sends both men down to the canvas hard. With the titles hanging only a few inches away, it's down to Quicksilver and Fury. They battle punch for punch until Quicksilver delivers a massive right that sends Fury off the ladder and to the ground below. Quicksilver now reaches up for the titles, but Cheech comes in for the save and pushes over the ladder. Wait! Quicksilver is holding onto the rack the belts are on!. Quicksilver unlocks one of the belts. Now he needs the other. As Cloudy picks up the ladder and climbs as fast as he can to stop Quicksilver, the Silver one is able to un-do the other belt, making Cape Fear the PWU Tri-State Tag Team champions.

As referee Chris Bakias raises their hands, the other two teams make their way to the back. Jay Fury having medical attention after the hard fall he took from the right hand. As Cape Fear stand in the ring and celebrate, the staff come out from the back and take the ladders along with the pieces of wood to the back so that the PWU Championship match will have a clean ring to wrestle in. Both members of Cape Fear make their way to the back after celebrating for a lengthy ammount of time.

Strong picks up Kojima and Homicide and drops them both to the ground hard with a double DDT.

With Roderick now in control, he locks in a double single leg crab on both Homicide and Kojima as Homicide locks in a crossface on Kojima. Strong let's go of both legs and opts for a double senton onto both men, but Homicide moves out of the way just in time. Homicide is able to get back up and hit a clothesline on on Roderick Strong. Homicide set's up Roderick Strong for a Cop Killa, but Satoshi Kojima comes out of nowhere and hit's a Koji Cutter on Homicide, causing him to let go of Strong. Roderick then takes Kojima and throws him over the top rope to the outside.

Seeing an opening, Roderick goes for the pinfall on Homicide. 1...2...3...! Roderick Strong has defeated Homicide to win the PWU Championship! Satoshi Kojima comes in the ring and congratulate's Roderick on his win as Frank Stool gives Roderick the belt. Strong looks at it and raises it in the air as he exit's the ring and makes his way to the back. Homicide set's up the chair as if he was going to sit in it, then picks up Kojima. Homicide twists Kojima and hits a Cop Killa on Kojima with his head bashing off the set up chair. He may have just broken Kojima's neck! Homicide takes a microphone.

Given that I've already warned you for postwhoring in this diary, pray tell what the point of this post was?

That the predication contest was won by the only person that entered? Stunning!

That there will be updates soon! I'm shocked!

That you'd like some feedback?

Here's some feedback:

GO READ THE RULES OF THE DOME AND PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT YOU'VE ALREADY BEEN WARNED FOR, AND ARE LIKELY TO BE WARNED AGAIN FOR.
