Metallica - The Ecstasy of Gold

So, Metallica has released a short 59 second clip of the band version of The Ecstasy of Gold that they have talked about doing. I like the real version better, but this isn't that bad. I figured it wouldn't sound that good since I heard they wanted to make a band version, but I sort of like it. And it seems like Lars learned that the drums he was using for St. Anger sounded like shit and didn't go back to those for this one.

I dunno. I like it. Quite a lot to be honest. But it wouldn't work in the way they use it at the moment, that is, as the opening to their concerts. Far too fast for that.

It could however work well as the intro to a new album of theirs. Have it lead into the second track ala The End of Everything on Trivium's Ascendency album.

Suprised it hasn't been mentioned yet that the full version has leaked onto YouTube. Not sure if i can post a link so just search for it, should be easy enough to find.

Forgot to mention that it's actually quite awesome.

Well, it is the lead in to all of their concerts and it's the first track on S&M (although obviously not the band version) leading into the first song. But lets not kid ourselves, The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly is awesome.
