Papa Roach Scars

I always thought their second album was pretty strong.

Three/four years ago, I liked Papa Roach. It was around the time they released Getting Away With Murder. Of course then I was into Linkin Park and stuff like that too. Scars was a song that really stood out for me. I really liked it, and till today I can still remember the lyrics, if only because I heard the song way too often back then. It's easily recognizable. I didn't give much of a listen to The Paramour Sessions though, because my tastes in music had already changed by then.

They look different, so now they're not nu-metal? Give me a break. They really haven't changed a lot, other than getting a bit more involved lyrically.

Not just their look. Their style of music went to a more modern Hard rock in the vein of Avenged Sevenfold and Eighteen Visions most recent attempts. I'd definitely say they've strayed as far as possible from nu-metal.

Yeah, I get you, but as far away from nu-metal as possible? Surely that'd involve not drop tuning to D, or using guitars at all even.
