Meet The Spartans

To whoever was worried about Larry the Cable Guy's movie going to #1, I wouldn't worry too much, that fad has passed. Health Inspector and Delta Farce both BOMBED.

That's because Larry the Cable Guy fans don't have any money.

Or they don't have many movie theaters in rural America.

Damn, there's five movie theaters, all but one above 15 screens, within 15 minutes of me. The one that isn't is a 3 dollar movie theater that plays older shit.

Anyone who sees this instead of the amazing Juno is an idiot.

Within 15-20 minutes of my house, there are two huge Famous Player theaters, an AMC, and two Cineplexes.

Even with all that access, I still won't go see Meet the Spartans.

Scary Movie 4 was enough to turn me off from the franchise completely. I get flashbacks from that awful spoof of the Grudge and how unfunny and drawn out it was. The whole theater was laughing, though. I guess people do like these movies.

I will say that one of my favorite sequences is a “ZAZ” style ridicule of the subway scene from “Spiderman 2,” that has a lot of the same technical prowess of the original as our hero, stuck to the front of the train, encounters everything imaginable in harm’s way.
