8 Simple Rules was good, pre- and post-Ritter. I liked David Spade as CJ. It went downhill when suddenly everyone was working at the school, for no real reason.

And Amy Davidson is hot.

With no disrespect to John Ritter, 8SR wasn't all that funny until CJ came in, it was a generic kind of comedy anyway (albeit a more amusing generic comedy than others), but when the family dynamic shifted it became a truly great show, the episodes after Ritter's death are some of my favourites.

To me, Post-Ritter 8 Simple Rules was rubbish. I mean, 8 Simple Rules with Ritter wasn't the best thing, but it at least was slightly palatable.

I would of loved to see 8 Simple Rules with both Ritter and Spade on it. Before Ritter died it was great, but David Spade is a fucking great comedic actor.
