Currently doing the Mages Guild quests and stuck here:

I think it's the Chorrol one, where the guild master has asked the student to practice somewhere else, far away, and he goes to Bleak Flats Cave or something like that and it's been a few weeks since he last checked in. My character is more of a ranged attack guy, and I keep meeting all these zombies, which are a bitch to fight with bow/arrow, especially if you have 2 coming at you at once. Is this something I'm better suited to do later in the game, or can it be done early on (only leveled up once

I suggest you learn how to use a blade. Or get a high enough sneak skill that you can shoot them and remain undetected.

What's the best way to level up/generally improve in the combat department? I'm on the Origin Of Gray Prince quest and I'm getting my ass kicked left, right and center both on the journey and when I actually get there.

can someone help me?

i was wandering around until i found fort carmala.

so as interested as i was i started exploring the caverns inside.

to my wonder i saw that there where vamp's where there.

i fought my way through the caverns.

but at one vampire made himself invisible and sneak attacked me and the game said i contracted some sort of desease.

i didnt have time to see what it was.

does someone here have a clue what kind of desease it was?

i sure dont hope i become a vampire because that would suck.

Could be Vampires disease. If you DON"T want to be one head to a church immediately. If you want to be one sleep, walk around or do something, repeat and then sleep again to be a fully powered vamp. But be careful of the sun and stuff.

Next time don't panic. Just carry on, do what you need to do and just head to the church before sleeping. It's not a worry and so you can avoid becoming a vampire unless you REALLY want to. Check in the spells section of your menu to see what's affecting you just to make sure.

Being a vampire buggered my whole first game. I had to do the ingredients quest to get back into the mages guild and then the tedious vampire cure quest. So I started a new game.

I've already killed the pirate captain on the waterfront and just realised through reading the massive guidebook that I'll have to kill her in the Brotherhood mission....Great....How's that gonna work then?!
