UFC Prediction League

Ok, I'll give this a try for now. It should be pretty easy to maintain if it's just a UFC league. Two or three events tops per month should give my lazy ass tons of time to update. If not, meh. Still, might as well give it a try since the old league was actually nice and active for a good few months or so.

Rules

During the week of an event, no later than five days before the night of, the fight card will be posted. You have until 5 pm EST the day of the fights to finalize your predictions or they will not be counted.

Possible methods of victory

KO

TKO

Submission

Judge's Decision

Judge's Decisions do not need to be specified, unless you are feeling that lucky. But no extra points will be awarded for that.

Medical stoppages, any stoppage due to not being able to continue or by injury or anything like that, will be counted as TKO victories.

In the case of a Draw or No Contest, no points will be award.

Scoring

Tried to make the scoring as competitive and interesting as possible without making it confusing.

Main card prediction scoring

3 points for correct winner

1 point for correct method of victory

1 point for correct round

Extra 5 points if you correctly predict all three

So you can earn up to 10 points for a correct prediction on the main card.

Prelim scoring

For the sake of the more casual viewer, prelim fights are worth a bit less. One problem with the old predictions league is not everybody knew all the fighters in the prelims. This should make it a little easier on the less hardcore fans to stay interested. I hope.

Extra 3 points if you correctly predict all three

So yeah, you can earn up to 6 points for a correct prediction on the preliminary card.

Championship Bout scoring

Points are doubled for title fights, making it possible to earn up to 20 points for correctly predicted championship bout.

EDIT: Changed to if there is no title fight, whatever the main event is will be scored double instead.

A possible grand total of 20 points for a correct prediction.
