Okay, two new logos designed for my portfolio. Feedback would be appreaited.

Rate & hate.

WH SMITH - a logo designed to aim specifically at stationary.

Designed using basic fonts. The pencil was created with the pen tool and will be the "logo representation" of wh smith - when appearing with no text.

CH Weston - a new modern logo for a gun store.

The first logo I've created using entirly the pen tool. I designed it in rough first and then drew it in Photoshop (very rewarding experience). The gun at first was tricky but it was so damn fun to draw and see the outcome.

Two very different designs. I tried to make the wh smiths one look professional but slightly arty and the CH Weston one look modern and savvy.

good work on both logos. I really like the first one its simple but yet stylish.

The second on is impressive from a technical standpoint. but I can't imagine a gun shop using it as a logo. Still top notch work worthy enough to be ina portfolio

Thanks. Think I'm going to edit the WH Smith's W and i - remove the crossover from the W and remove the dot from the I, and then it sohuld be good enough for the portfolio.

I really like the ch weston one, but as you said i can't see a gun shop actually using it because it wouldn't fit their target audience at all unfortunately.
