Ugh. Who greenlit this piss? Seriously. Is Spaceballs really even worth an animated series? I mean, I love the movie to death and think it's great but come on. So far this animated series is just god-awful, what with an episode based around a really bad LOTR parody with an onion ring and a really awful origin story for Dark Helmet. And the voice actors sound nothing like their characters. I mean, isn't it usually standard practice to snag a soundalike if you can't snag the character's actual actor?

And really.. they couldn't even get Rick Moranis to do Dark Helmet? The dude hasn't done anything noteworthy since the "Honey, I Shrunk.." series of films.

This abomination needs to be forgotten, ASAP. >_<

I think he's outright retired because he has so much money that he doesn't need to work a day in his life anymore. I know he's like the only member of the Ghostbusters primary cast to not be involved in the video game anymore, or something.

Anyway, I was intending to watch the whole first episode to give it a trial run. I lasted only three minutes.

I just checked Wiki, it seems to more be about also being a single parent in Moranis' case, but really, in this case a lot of it could really be attributed to good taste, too.

I liked the video game episode, if only for the massive amount of references and just-close-enough-to-not-get-sued characters. The other episode I saw blew.
