Does it have a border? I can't really tell, if not I'd say it needs one, if it does make it clearer. Other than that it looks like a simple brush job (it does look good though) with a PSD slapped over it and apparently a glow around it (which doesn't so much).

Nope, it doesn't have a border, will add one though.

I followed a tut on simple sigs, since i'm still getting used to GIMP. No Brushes where used though, I basicly just fiddled with the filters until I got the background. I didn't use PSD's (If PSD's are C4D's or whatever) either. I did attempt the glow though, looking back, I pretty much failed on it, will attempt to improve on them. s:
