No wonder girls had Marc Bolan's picture on their wall in the 70s. He was a handsome fucking guy. And a great rocker.

First of all, here is a fantastic picture of a young Niels Henning Ørsted Pedersen, a very talented Danish jazz bassist who sadly died of sudden heart failure in 2005. Besides being a leader himself, he played under tons of big names including Albert Ayler, Ben Webster, Oscar Peterson, Chet Baker, the list goes on with this guy. He also featured with Jack DeJohnette under Niels Lan Doky on one of my at the moment favorite Danish jazz releases, The Target from 1987.

Also, I have found another love besides Keiji Haino. There are some amazing pictures of Charles Mingus lying around.

Look at that patriotism, look at that smug cigar-smoking face. How can you not love it?
