  1. I think theres been words between Wenger and Lehmann, ever since the penalty he gave away people have been getting in his face and he's just let it pass, which has been surprising. We all know he can have a good game, he's made stupid mistakes (silly kicks, silly reflex saves, etc) but he's still alot better than all his rumoured replacements.

I lost faith in Lehmann a while back, but recently I've started to get behind him again (no, not doggystyle), I'd much rather keep him, hopefully we don't waste our money on some shitty replacement.

He's got a temper, but he's also confident, he's strong and when it comes to corners I can rely on him to try his hardest to get the ball, and its usually successful. I'd still like to sign Frey but as of now, I think this so called problem isn't as big as people are letting on.

    I agree 100%.

Lehmann is a class 'keeper, and there are only two 'keepers I'd accept to replace him; Stuart Taylor or Sebastien Frey. No-one else. I really hope we don't go anywhere near bloody Mark Schwarzer. Yes he's a good 'keeper, but I don't think he's good enough.

I lost faith with Lehmann, and dreaded EVERYTIME the ball was passed to the guy. I was terrified he'd fuck up or do something stupid. But my faith has been restored after recent performances.

  2. He hasn't done a thing since the Tottenham incident.

With Lehmann, you'd expect him to have at least stood up to someone, get in their face, yell at them, SOMETHING! But he hasn't done a thing. There have been a few incident's since where I expected him to do something, but I was pleasenlty surprised that he just stood up and brushed it off.

Anyway, I think he realised something from the reaction of Arsenal fans that we were absolutley sick and tired of his antics. When he didn't celebrate with the team after the Tottenham match, that was when I thought something had changed.

On the distribution note; I getcha. But he has launched SO many of our counter-attackes over the course of the season.

Corner > Lehmann catches > Lehmann throws to Pires > Pires gives it to someone > That someone scores

That's how quite a few of our counter-attacks happened.

  3. I feel Lehmann has done quite well this season. He only has two major weaknesses in my opinion, distribution and temperament.

Distribution? IMO, he's one of the best distributors of the ball I've ever seen. Well, if we're talking about throwing anyway. He needs to sort out the kicking...which was probably what you meant. I'm going to go back to my hole....

...back. I think Lehmann has realised how much he fucked up against Tottenham with his eratic behaviour, and has realised how much many Arsenal fans wanted to hurt him after it. I think he'll be ok next season in that department.

  4. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

    9.5/10

This movie is just really good. The story is good, the actors are good, everything is good. It loses half a point for dragging a bit in the middle.

Also, I think I'm in love with Clementine Kruczynski (Kate Winslet's character). Might be the hair, probably the personality. Kate Winslet is great.

    Star Trek: Generations

    8/10

What can I say; I'm a sucker for ANYTHING Star Trek.

    Star Trek: First Contact

    10/10

Love it. It has the Borg, so it automaticall shoots up 7 marks for that anyway. The plot is brilliant, and as usual, the cast are great.

  5. Why don't Chelsea just offer what he wants? I mean, he's there best and most influential player at the moment. Without him, their team will fall apart. B

But I agree with Gooner4Life, £40k a week is still damn good. Why not just stick with that? Lampard is acting like the little kid that wants a toy because his friend has it. If other players weren't earning that much, or if Chelsea weren't owned by a billionaire, he wouldn't THINK of asking for a pay increase.

  6. I debated about going today, but in the end I decided against it. I didn't fancy going up there, and my friend couldn't handle standing for hours because he has fucked up knees.

I went to the last one, which was fun.

  7. It's sort of like the changing of the guard. The last remnants of the great Arsenal defence is leaving.

Wenger, meanwhile, also revealed that several clubs had shown an interest in taking promising 19-year-old winger David Bentley on loan next season.

    Winger? WINGER!?! He's a bloody striker...silly people...

  8. Yeah, Silvinho was a class player at Arsenal. Are you forgetting the wondergoals? The amazing wing-play? The assists? He had/has so much skill it was incredible. He's not as good as he was now, but he plays for Celta...so that explains it :D

  9. oh i'm saying he deserved it to hav ehis number retired under the circumstances...

I was just saying like, had it not happened, he probably wouldn'ta gotten his number retired..that's all

I thought that was what you meant, but with you being a total and utter IDIOT, I wasn't sure. :P

    Only kidding :D

    ...or am I?

  10. It should only be 1st and 2nd of all the (major) European nations involved in the Champions League.

Otherwise it becomes a little stupid, especially when a team who, say, finished fourth in their league goes on to win the Champions League.

It supposedly makes them the best in Europe, but they obviously can't be because they're not the best in their country.

  11. As much as I hate the blue scum, I do think that's a nice gesture retiring his number.

Even though Foe was FAR from a class player, it's still sad how it happened, and as such is a nice gesture on their part.

You may not have meant it like this, but to me that sounded like you don't think he deserved it. He was a very good player, not class no, but like Beckham, he was on of THE most commited players I have ever seen.

It's one of the most respectful things I've ever seen in football, and he definetly deserved it.

  12. Ruud's going nowhere.

Just signed a new deal, he himself has constantly denied his leaving.

Besides, even if they agree a fee, he can just reject the offer and I think that would keep him at United wouldn't it?

Beckham did some of those things; all if I remember correctly. He had recently(ish) signed a new contract and kept denying he was going anywhere.

If the team isn't winning things, you can never rule out a move. The way Man Utd have been this year, it'll take a lot to convince RVN to stay.

  13. Hopefully he'll make some better buys this year.

and stay away from the south americans.  They're shit in the Premiership

Gilberto, Edu and Silvinho say hi.

Other than them, the problem is that Premiership teams tend to sign crap South Americans
