  1. I really want to go to Highbury for the parade this year, but it's short notice. If I knew the date last week, I'd definetley be going. I probably will go...but I don't know.

I went to the 2001/02 season's one, and was right at the end. T'was fun.

  2. I agree with what TheArsenal said.

He's not the greatest Arsenal plyer ever, but he is so loved by everybody who has ANYTHING to do with Arsenal Football Club. He's probably one of, if not the favourite player of many Arsenal fans.

That's the main reason why I would retire number 10. I can't imagine any other player wearing 10, just like anyone else wearing 6 would be weird. Van Persie or Bentley would seem right with 10 I guess, but nobody else that I can think of.

  3. I can't see Chelsea ever challenging 'realistically' for the title if they keep going out in the summer and going into a mass buy-everyone mode.

As TheArsenal said, they'll have to have a 'transitional year' every year, and I reckon Abramovic will just get bored eventually and bugger off with his billions and leave you up shit's creak without a paddle.

  4. Beckham may not be the most 'technically sound' midfielder in the world, but he somethings the majority of players in that list do not; influence, and commitment.

Remember the England vs. Greece game? Beckham chased everything. Beckham does that all the time, he was the only player even trying that day.

For England, he's always the most influential player on the pitch, and half of the time at Real Madrid he is as well. Of the players on IBR's list, only Vieira and 'maybe' Keane have those things.

  5. Let's try and settle this shall we?

In the past, the trophy was presented when the second and below placed teams were mathematically incapable of catching the team placed first. Therefore, they were crowned the champions. The rules have changed this season so that the winners lift the trophy on the final day.

We are the champions of this season. We won it. Saying that we didn't is like saying Chelsea or Manchester United could catch up with us and finish first. Sorry, it won't happen. Why? It's mathematically impossible, therefore, we are the champions.

Oh, and the Oxford Dictionary classifies 'Immortal' as:

    constatnt, long-lasting.

Now, if long-lasting isn't ONE WAY of saying unbeatable, then we're not immortal. But I do believe it is.

  6. I can't wait till Saturday's match. The trophy will be presenting, and and I thoroughly expect us to walk away with ANOTHER record this season. Then we'll only need a few matches at the beginning of next season to get the longest unbeaten league run in English history. The longest so far is 42 games, and we'll be on 40 I think after Leicester.

  7. One game away from immortality as in no one can touch us; no one can beat us. We're unbeaten in the Premiership, so we have immortality in the Premiership.

I agree we need to win the Champions League to be true immortals, but that will come in time.

And don't forget, you crashed out of the champions League (AGAIN) as well. :D

  8. Yeah...thought I'd get this thread back on track be re-starting it.

First of all, I would like to direct the attention of any sane FOOTBALL, not just Arsenal fans to a thread in TheWrestlingChannel.com's forums.

    http://www.thewrestlingchannel.tv/forums/index.php

Go to the one about Arsenal wasting money, and allow hilarity to ensue when reading the posts of a guy called Monoxide94 and Jimmy Hill.

Anyway...what you reckon the score will be against Leicester? I'm going out on a limb here and I'm going to say 2-1. I can see Leicester scoring just to be awkward.
