  1. What a greedy piece of shit Also add that he is also a liar(what a weak explanation). I wish I had wand right now, and a hippogriff, I'd find him and put some curse that will shut Nelly up forever. (My Harry Potter Crazyness will die down when my Spidey Senses Tingle around June 30th)
  2. I'm 17, and I'd take Lindsay over the twins anyday, but the thing is I have better things to do then dream of being with Lohan, like dreaming that I actually do good in my final exams
  3. The funny thing is, they'll repeat it at least 200 times before the 2005 movie awards kicks in!(you know the one where Prisoner of Azkaban is gotta win all the awards).
  4. I added both to my favourites, so I'll try both of them out, both seem good. Well I guess I have two reasons to love you
  5. It was an ok show, Some of the skits were funny.
  6. Too bad Netflix is only for US. They should expand to Canada......I would love to join. Can you buy DVD's in Netflix??
  7. Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind: I actually found a theater that played it(a very old theater mind you). This film was absolutely amazing. The story was able to take me in with empathic jestures of the sacred value of memories, and how people always seem to remember the good ones a little bit more. This trait was mixed with the magic of lucid dreaming brought to reality with a little leap of science fiction. It was the epitomy of waking up early in the morning, drifting in and out of sleep, in and out of dreams, and with this ability being able to almost control your dreams and almost recognize that you are in one. Eternal Sunshine on the spotless mind takes this beautiful thing and mixes it with the lucid dream of a soon lost love, and it hits right on with the notion of true love existing only when it is gone or, worse even, fading away, soon to be out of reach. I'm proud that I saw this movie, too bad it faded away to quickly to become successful. Hopefully it will win some oscars. 9.5/10 Oh Zaz....*takes wand out* EXPECTO PATRONUM All in good fun
  8. Chronicals of Riddick: 5/10 First 30 minutes were great, leading to a great plot which gets thrown away...the actors are pretty much one-dimensional and some of the effects are laughable. Vin Diesel is good though, but if they only went deeper into the plot, the movie would have been a bit better. Go watch Harry Potter instead. Really
  9. I reccommend you reading the Memory, Sorrow and Thorn trilogy by Tad Williams! They are great books...if you love Lord of The RIngs, you'd also love it...well I hope so.
  10. Well....there was the rumour that they were fake.... who cares, all that matters is that Lindsay Lohan > Hilary Duff
  11. The talented Mr. Ripley: 6.5/10 A nice flick, nothing special about it.
  12. 1-0 Tampa... Even though I don't like it...I'm saying 2-1 Tampa in Overtime
  13. I don't think its weak....well it would be perfect if Azkaban is up there It looks like Beatniks...except.... Bah! You know.
  14. Then I guess you'll give it a chance? By the way, I really check on this thread for Beatnik and your Reviews. You can call me a fanboy of my movies all you want(well.......... I am), but it makes me a bit more happy when people like a film of a series I love, or any other movie in that case. Now on to important things: Will Azkaban be in your top 10 Numbahs... that is the ultimate question. (Oh I personally can't wait for you two to shit on Catwomen...if you even bother wasting your money for it)
  15. Yipeee....you liked it! I love you!
  16. Bill. The most sadistic yet calm badass. Elle Driver comes close.
  17. The 2004 MTV Movie Award Winners! Source: MTV Sunday, June 6, 2004 It was a night to remember as MTV revealed the winners of the 2004 MTV Movie Awards. Host Lindsay Lohan of Mean Girls presided over the horror-themed festivities at the Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, CA. D12 with Eminem, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Beastie Boys gave over-the-top performances - a time-honored tradition for this star- studded event, which airs on MTV Thursday, June 10, at 9 p.m. (ET/PT). [RESULTS SPOILERS AHEAD!] Kill Bill Vol. 1 slayed the competition with the most wins of the night, including Uma Thurman as "Best Female Performance" and Lucy Liu as "Best Villain." Johnny Depp took home nods for "Best Male Performance" for his dynamic role as a swashbuckler in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. For the third consecutive year, Lord of the Rings took home "Best Movie," for its latest installment "The Return of the King". Lohan became the first Movie Awards host ever to win the coveted "golden popcorn" while hosting, as she picked up the "Breakthrough Female" award. The winners are as follows: BEST MOVIE The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (New Line Cinema) BEST MALE PERFORMANCE Johnny Depp - Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (Walt Disney Pictures) BEST FEMALE PERFORMANCE Uma Thurman - Kill Bill Vol. 1 (Miramax Films) BEST COMEDIC PERFORMANCE Jack Black - School of Rock (Paramount Pictures) BEST ON-SCREEN TEAM Adam Sandler/Drew Barrymore - 50 First Dates (Sony Pictures) BEST VILLAIN Lucy Liu - Kill Bill Vol. 1 (Miramax Films) BREAKTHROUGH MALE Shawn Ashmore - X2: X-Men United (20th Century Fox) BREAKTHROUGH FEMALE Lindsay Lohan - Freaky Friday (Walt Disney Pictures) BEST KISS Owen Wilson & Carmen Electra & Amy Smart - Starsky & Hutch (Warner Bros.) Lohan showed off her dance moves along with Marques Houston and Omarion from You Got Served, playing up the fact that Lohan is the youngest MTV Movie Awards host in the show's history with Andy Richter and Rachel Dratch playing her over-protective parents. A short film "pitch meeting" featuring Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, and Peter Jackson left the crowd in stitches, as Stiller and Vaughn tried to convince Jackson to make "Lord of the Rings 4". Interspersed throughout the show were a series of hilarious short films inspired by the upcoming Will Ferrell comedy Anchorman and Lohan's film Mean Girls. The final short film of the evening featured Andy Dick and Lohan in a campy take-off of the film Kill Bill Vol. 2. As expected the musical performances were a heart-pounding component of the evening. The Beastie Boys were the first act to grace the stage with a hot screen video mix of their single "Ch-Check It Out." D12 with Eminem had the crowd roaring with their parody of a rock band - featuring Eminem dressed as famed Guns 'n' Roses frontman Axl Rose. In true Kill Bill fashion, D12's Bizarre dressed up as Uma Thurman's character in the film. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs performed their hit "Maps" on an incredible set, a concept by director-producer Spike Jonze. The evening drew to a hilarious close as Kirsten Dunst appeared with Spider-Man to present the award for "Best Movie" - and Spider-Man revealed himself to be none other than Ellen DeGeneres. In grand MTV style, the 2004 MTV Movie Awards were the end-all, be-all destination for fans of the world's biggest movie, TV, and music stars. The list of presenters included: Christina Aguilera; Kate Beckinsale; Jessica Biel; Halle Berry; Tom Cruise; Vin Diesel; Kirsten Dunst; Eve; Jimmy Fallon; Jamie Foxx; Jake Gyllenhaal; Paris Hilton; Kate Hudson; Ice Cube; Scarlett Johannson; Ashton Kutcher; Shia LaBeouf; Brittany Murphy; Thandie Newton; Matthew Perry; Queen Latifah; The Rock; Mark Ruffalo; Snoop Dogg; Sharon Stone; Marlon Wayans; and Shawn Wayans. 18. The lineups were huge, but I got in opening day! This review contains Minor spoilers As a big harry potter book fan, particularly, the prisoner of azkaban, i was really excited to watch the third installment to the movie adaptation of the book. after listening to several people and news claiming that this movie is really good, better than the first two, i started to have high expectations for it. and gladly to say, i wasn't disappointed with the outcome. storywise, the movie sticked to the major plot points of the book, made do without the nitty gritty details and subplots, and gave the audience a good adaptation of the main storyline of harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban, and this time delivered it with a faster pace than the first two installments. first time viewers MIGHT get lost at the start of the movie especially if you have absolutely zero background on harry potter at all since as i said earlier the story doesn't dwell in introducing and explaining every character and incident. with that said, is the storyline perfect? for me, as a harry potter fan, there are some points and explanations that i would love to have seen in the movie, ie. the explanation of harry potter's patronus' form and the explanation of the marauder's map's original owners. other than those few important points, the storyline's okay. don't expect a good defeats evil storyline because that one comes in the seventh book and seventh movie. with this third installment comes a new director, alfonso cuaron. i personally believed that he did a good take on the movie, making it into a darker one compared to the first two. i like several things he did with the movie: his use of muted colors (no vibrant and bright colors which is in contrast to the first two films), his vision of the dementors, werewolves, the grim, buckbeak the hippogriff, the marauder's map and the portraits. ILM (Industrial Light and Magic) did a good job of creating the creatures and the effects. the dementors were really scary. also the presence of a werewolf and the grim might scare some really young audience so parents should keep an eye on that one. i particularly enjoyed the marauder's map and seeing those tiny footsteps walking. as for the acting and characters, one thing that kinda irked me was that other characters weren't given as much screentime as i would have wanted. but then again, this is a movie about harry potter and his friends ron and hermione, so i guess all the attention really fell at their feet. but with the small screentime some of the characters have, there are really some that stand out. from the old cast we have rickman as snape (he always did a good job on snape) and felton as malfoy (i always liked how felton acts as malfoy). four new actors in this movie made some impressions with me: thompson as trelawney, thewlis as lupin, gambon as the new dumbledore and oldman as sirius. thompson did great as the eccentric professor of divination, babbling some oddities under those thick glasses of hers. thewlis did a good job with the new dark arts teacher and as a mentor for potter. as for gambon, for me, it seems that he can't live up to harris' wonderful job as dumbledore in the first two movies. he did a good take though but not something up to par with the former headmaster. it seems like he lacks the kindness and gentleness that the late harris' exuded in his character as dumbledore. and now with oldman... he was great, absolutely worth to be a sirius black for me (even if i didn't picture him like that from the books). what do you expect from a great actor like him who can shift from one role to another in a minute, in this case, from an almost lunatic escapee to a concerned character explaining his emotions and feelings the next. as for the three main actors, they've really grown up. even if ron (grint) didn't have that much screentime, his dialogues and expressions are still enjoyable like in the earlier movies. potter (radcliffe) did a good job too, in fact better than the somewhat almost deadpan acting from the first movies. hermione (watson), i believe, was the one who had grown up the most of the three giving us a peek at the maturity that her character is experiencing. all in all, would i recommend this movie? definitely. it's entertaining, enjoyable and definitely magical. 8.5/10
  19. I love the Harry Potter books, huge fan with anything out of this world. I enjoyed the first two(Being a huge fan and such) and I can't wait to see this movie. I've been waiting for almost 2 years!
  20. I especially love the part when he goes into the mall with his new eyes. Anyway after reading several bad reviews on the Day After Tomorrow, Instead I rented a movie. That movie was Unbreakable starring Bruce Willis. 7/10, A good movie, with good acting, but nothing mindblowing. At least I enjoyed it.
  21. Reasons why you didn't like Minority Report Numbah's, just curious, I loved that movie.
  22. Ocarina of TIme, but all were fantastic. But the new one in 2005 has a chance to beat it Zelda+Realistic Awseome Grahpics+Hope to be Long Game+Awseome,Awseome,Awseome Link+Horse>* Check the trailer(Quicktime a must): The Legend of Zelda:Reborn Coming in 2005.
  23. I was really surprised in how many people voted: 65 million Thats double the population of Canada I wanted Diana to win, because her performances were great. Fantasia was great too, but Diana's were better IMO. I also love rooting for the underdogs. Overall I wanted La Toya to win though, one of the best singers in the entire lifespan of American Idol. A bit better then Clay, who IMO looks like a fag(can I say that) I wonder if the finale will break TV records with its rating Imagine WWE RAW getting a rating like that.
  24. Shrek 2 : 8/10 Just as good as the original.
