In fairness, Tsitsipas was no saint yesterday. I think he was more of an asshole than Kyrgios.

For sure, but it's a hilarious new level of a lack of self-awareness.

Norrie and Watson have been such pleasant surprises.

There was a centre court centenary ceremony today and damn - what a gathering.

My wife has gone away for a few days, so i bought myself a short video game to cheer myself up. Big mistake. I bought Firewatch. Was in pieces.

Great story though. Did it in one sitting, loved it.

Speaking of this, Ron Gilbert has said he's going to stop sharing images of the game because he's been receiving personal abuse over the art style.

Pretty ridiculous. The art style is awesome.

This Kyrgios/Tsitsipas game was absolutely bonkers. And very difficult to spell.

Now for the Kyrgios post-match interview, which could be even more insane.

Kyrgios believes he is popular in the locker room and that Tsitsipas has 'issues'. Funniest shit ever.

Nadal also had a go at Sonego for screaming during Nadal's swing today, high drama over very little. Nadal still looks amazing.

Took the kids to see Jurassic Park.

I've never really rated the Jurassic Park series, but this was fun. Kinda dragged toward the end but a fun movie for the big screen.

Also, Chris Pratt is sexy as hell, god damn.

I'm looking forward to your Super Mario review now.

  5. I think Obi-Wan Kenobi is the most I've fanboyed for a new Star Wars thing. I was part of that generation who was Special Edition in the cinema, saw the prequels at the cinema and kept up with Clone Wars (Genndy's). There's so many little details, especially in the fight scenes.

That being said, this could probably have been condensed into an Episode 3.5 film.

    Spoiler

While I love mini-Leia, it is a wee bit odd she doesn't seem to know Obi-Wan later on. Kids who are 10 definitely remember important people. Same for Luke...did he just forget being randomly hunted down that one night? The writers seem aware of this obvious gripe, since thy have Obi-Wan say "No one must know or it will endanger us both".

Felt the Third Sister's redemption arc was pretty weak. And why introduce such an awesome character like Tala to then kill her off? That really saddened me.

Vader telling Obi-Wan that Vader killed Anakin finally gives Obi-Wan a bit of a reprieve for kind of  misleading Luke all those years later.

Loved Beru and Owen showing how tough they are, as if moisture farming on a desert planet wasn't tough enough. I'd like to think in another timeline they have usurped the Hutts! :D

I also loved seeing Obi-Wan get to show off all his intrinsic skills - defence and deflection, stealth,

After loving Mandalorian and hating Book of Boba Fett (still can't bring myself to watch any more), this rests just below Mandalorian for me.

  6. If you're one of the few people who has somehow avoided watching The Office (US), give it a shot. I've been enjoying my binge so far and I'm on season 5. One of my colleagues said I am very much like Dwight...but I find myself relating to Michael...and a bit to Jim.

Makes me wonder what the British version might have turned into had it rolled on for a few series.

  7. Beyond gutted. Was stuck at work late and missed the whole game. Saw it was 1-2 when I finally got a chance to check, but it sounds like Ukraine were simply better and deserved it. I hope whoever wins between Ukraine and Wales goes on to have an amazing World Cup run.

Been an amazing fan atmosphere apparently, I wish I could have been a part of it. :(

I'm enjoying how much the French government and authorities are doing a Limmy "don't back down, double down" with the nonsensical lies they're coming with.

30,000/40,000 trying to enter with fake tickets and saying their decisions prevented death or serious injury...yeah cause bottlenecking fans into tight areas and people having to climb up things and lift people to alleviate crushing and children and disabled fans being tear gassed is the right thing to do.

I'm just glad we're in the social media age as there is so many posts from journalists, fans from both sides documenting the shit show and from even neutrals/corporates raising the concerns of just how badly managed the whole thing was.

It's infuriating because there was no deaths or serious injury, the police will claim that was down to their excellent policing. Such nonsense.

  9. I think it's a testament to how good-natured the Liverpool fans are that there's been no major injuries or deaths as a result of that abysmal policing. I don't fault the officers on the street, whoever organised everything needs to be investigated. That was a lot of risk for zero reward.

  10. Kompany might have been a good deal for them, they need to look after their money now. He'll surely bring something interesting no matter what he does.

Rose was not impressive by any means this season, but this is some Chelsea level stuff to sack a manager after finishing second 🤣

This is a total aside, but I love the story of Derek Rae.

  11. After dumping out fairytale Arbroath, Caley Thistle have lost to St Johnstone 6-4 after two legs so both teams remain where they were.

Ugh, I so wish Arbroath had won that shootout with Inverness. Would have been surreal seeing Arbroath against the big clubs week in and week out.

The Premier League have forgiven/excused Everton's massive losses/FFP violations already though, haven't they? I feel like this was already brought up and addressed, for some reason.

A lot of stuff was written off through a non-affiliated organisation as losses due to the pandemic. Which does sound like a fantastic way to cheat the system.

Anyway. The ridiculous celebrations, especially seeing Lampard giving his speech as if he did something special was a bit galling. Everton are the epitome of the 3rd placed podium wanker. But somehow far worse.
