  3. So, I plan to watch all the UFC events, from the very beginning. Just got done with #1:

    UFC 1

    - First off, the commentary is fucking dire. Also, the fact that it doesn't appear to have been broadcast live means there's no excuse for the sloppy cuts and general amateurish look.

    - Gerard Gordeau Vs Teila Tuli: This was awesome just because it was really short and probably not the ideal way to kick off UFC.

    - Kevin Rosier Vs Zane Frazier: Rosier looked like one hell of a badass in this one. The punches and stomps at the end of the match were brutal.

-Royce Gracie Vs Art Jimmerson: I can't figure out why Jimmerson tapped out so quickly when he wasn't in any pain. Gracie is a machine, however.

    - Ken Shamrock Vs Patrick Smith: I fully intend to root for Shamrock simply because he's ex-WWF, and he did a decent job of ending this one quickly.

    - Gerard Gordeau Vs Kevin Rosier: Gordeau winning this with a broken hand was awesome. Rosier was very gracious in the aftermath, and he seems like a hard enough hitter, he just lacks stamina.

    - Royce Gracie Vs Ken Shamrock: Not my boy Ken :(. Yeah, Gracie won this one handily. No doubt he'll win the final.

    - Before the final there's an awkward ceremony where one of the Gracie family is given a plaque. Nice moment, or at least it would be if it wasn't blatantly obvious that no one in the crowd knew who the old guy was.

    - Royce Gracie Vs Gerard Gordeau: And he does. The final was all over rather quickly, but Gracie looked pretty much unstoppable. Yay for the big cheque.

    - Overall, a few good moments on the show, but nothing that really stuck out as something special.

  4. Tracks available for Xbox 360 (July 21) and PLAYSTATION 3 system (July 23):

    Rancid “Time Bomb”

Rise Against “Prayer of the Refugee”

    Rise Against “Re-Education (Through Labor)”

    Rise Against “Savior”

    Lush “Sweetness & Light”

(All tracks are original master recordings)

These tracks will be available for purchase as part of the “Kings of Leon Pack,” “Rancid Pack,” “Rise Against Pack” or as individual tracks for Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 systems.

    Price:

  5. The news many fans have been waiting for.

    It’s official. Right here.

I can reveal that UFC 100, from the Mandalay Bay Resort, will be live and free on UK television - it will show free to air on satellite channel 433 and ALSO will be streamed free onto UFC.com on Saturday night for 9 hours, a marathon stint, between 9pm and 6am. It will show a programme of the 100 greatest fights in UFC history, followed by the Countdown show, followed by the live event.

Channel 433 on Sky is a dead channel which is becoming a UFC channel for 9 hours only.

To clarify - if you are a Virgin Media or Freeview customer, it is a case of watching it at a friend’s place who has Sky, or watching it completely free on UFC.com online. UFC have been streaming events for years, so it will be good quality.

Enjoy. Tell all who need to know. Send them this link. You heard it here first. More details to follow…
