  1. Damn, you guys made me get back into this game just as finals are about to start. My guys are currently at around level 30, and I think I'm somewhere near Archadian capital, trying to make my way to wherever I need to get to.

  2. That kind of reminds me, my band are trying to put together "THE PHANTOM BLINK 182 CHORD PROGRESSION MEDLEY"...and are in need of other songs to add (For those who don't know it's, C-G-A-F). So far we have;

    "Damnit" by Blink 182

    "Feeling This" by Blink 182

"Story Of A Lonely Guy" by Blink 182

"Anthem Pt.2" by Blink 182 (Whilst the chords don't fit...a C-G-A-F bassline does...SO IT COUNTS!!!)

"Hit or Miss" by New Found Glory

"The Unicorn Odyssey" by The Falcon (BADASS!!!!!)

"With Or Without You" by U2

"Kiss The Rain" by Billie Myers

    "Dark Blue" by Jack's Mannequin

We had more, but have since forgotten them. We just want some variation. Any help will be awesome.

  3. Roughly, from the end of the Another Side period to when he made Blonde on Blonde, that's the creative zenith if nothing else. 3 of the best albums of the decade, the best live tour in rock history, and he wrote a book too!
  4. I thought Neon Ballroom was really where they hit their stride. The album had a really grand, theatrical sound to it that I think is missing from most music nowadays. While I like some of their other stuff, I really think they should have kept with the sound they had going during the Neon Ballroom era.

Note: it's entirely possible that I've mistaken the name "Neon Ballroom" for one of their other albums... basically, whichever one had the sound that I was trying to describe was the one I thought was their best. Also, I guess I shouldn't have said that it was their only good album, as I have enjoyed all of them to some degree.

  5. The new Silverchair was kinda shitty, but in my opinion they've only ever really had one good album. I like what I've heard of the new NIN album, tomorrow I'll be able to spend some more time with it and know for sure. The new Big D is also a really good album. Can't believe I forgot about the upcoming Mae album, I was just listening to The Everglow earlier today, and I'm really looking forward to their new material.

  6. I think I'm looking forward to Against Me!, Streetlight (though it's been built up so much in my mind by now that it can only disappoint me), The Postal Service (which I'm pretty sure is slated for this year), and The Mars Volta the most. Also, I didn't know that Dredg had new stuff coming out, so that should be pretty cool... although I remember being disappointed with their most recent album. But 2007 does indeed seem to already be a pretty good year for new music.

  7. Yeah sure NIN has always done concept albums but yeah as Zero said MCR idolize Green Day so that's obviously not a coincidence. Besides NIN what major rock act has done a concept album the past fifteen years before Green Day? Just because you don't like Green Day doesn't mean you can't give credit to a band that has obviously influenced a lot of rock acts and the albums they've made since they released "American Idiot" in 2004. While "American Idiot" isn't the definitive "Nevermind" of the 90's if they ever did a Behind the Music for this decade their album would have to be given a segment.
  8. I got pre-sale tickets for the Randall's Island show as soon as they became available. I'm sooo pumped for this, especially after coming to terms long ago with the fact that I'd probably never get to see Rage play live.

  9. To anyone that has the American version of PES (Winning Eleven), is it the same as the European version? And also, which game is better for someone that is into soccer, but is sort of still on-the-surface about the intricacies of the game?

  10. Before hearing this, there were definitely a few times where I thought about how a movie adaptation of the Dark Tower series would work out. Like everyone else has said, I think I would prefer something like an HBO miniseries. I feel like a movie(s) would have to compress so much story into such a little amount of time, cutting out certain aspects, and all that would do is piss off die-hard fans.

  11. I'm not even sure what these berry things are that people refer to. :shifty:

Where did you buy them from?

You don't buy 'em. As best I can remember when you're about halfway through the desert, one of those Yensa things will be talking to a Moogle asking him for help. Go talk to the Moogle to see what's up, and he'll tell you about a big turtle thing that's eating the sand-people. After that I think you have to run after the Yensa guy for a while before you can go kill that turtle thing. Anyway, you'll get the berries at the end of this little sidequest. Use 'em on the bird and it should be a breeze.

  12. Man, I used to play Smackdown 2 like every day with my friends. One of the coolest parts was if you put your CAW in DX, once in a while after a match it would go to a cutscene where you, Triple H, and someone else were beating down your opponent, then Triple H would Pedigree him onto a steel chair. The first time I saw that I thought it was the coolest thing ever.

Also, was that the game where Big Show would randomly be an entrant in Royal Rumbles despite not actually being in the game?

  13. I'm not trying to be "fucking elitist," I was just saying how I find it annoying that people who have never heard a song that hasn't been on the radio like them all of a sudden. I even said that I still like them, but at the same time I'm allowed to have an opinion about a band's fanbase.

  14. When The Papercut Chronicles came out, I loved them. Then they released that cover of "Under the Bridge," which I still liked. Then they released As Cruel As School Children, which admittedly is an awesome album, but it's gotten them so much mainstream success to the point of them touring with The All-American Rejects and The Starting Line, and now all of a sudden everyone that likes that music is "soooo totally into them." I still like them, it's just annoying how that sort of thing happens.

  15. Decent album... I like Trouble and the one by Swizz Beats right now. Show Me What You Got has grown as a single for me... The track with Beyonce is shit I think, same goes for #2 (The first one produced by Just Blaze).

Blue Carpet Treatment is alright, Snoops style of rapping isn't really my thing, I find him rather boring... Vato was a hot song, same with Thats That Shit.. I also liked "Round Here", "Boss' Life" with Akon.. The highlight of the album by far is Imagine with Dre, that shit is deep. I hate that hyphy crap so Candy wasn't really my thing on this album...

Game's Doctor's Advocate shines more than these two.. Jay-Z matches him on his flow, but the production on Game's album is stellar.

Even better than these three albums though is Tech N9ne.. People sleep on this guy IMO and his flow tops all three of the above. There's not one song on his album, Everready: The Religion" that I don't like...

Also, 2Pac - Pacs Life, the clean version has leaked... And while you can't really rate a clean version, I still feel it's going to be a disappointment... Still Nas, Young Buck, and Eminem to go.. I think as far as rap releases, it'll go the following for this quarter:

    Tech N9ne

    Game

    Young Buck / Jay-Z

    Nas

    Eminem

    Snoop

    2Pac

  16. So Kingdom Come has leaked, procure it somehow and talk about it here.

In my opinion, it's a really good album. Not as amazing as I was expecting, but I had hyped it up so much in my mind beforehand that it would've been almost impossible to meet my expectations. One thing immediately noticable is how almost all of the tracks are produced by either Dre or Just Blaze. Then there's one by Kanye, the Chris Martin track, one by Swizz, and one by The Neptunes. As a result, the album has one of the most solid collection of beats I think I've ever heard. On the other hand, there's not much of a supporting cast, which is odd for such an anticipated release (Usher, Pharrell, Beyonce, Chrissette Michelle(?), John Legend, Sterling Simms(?), Ne-Yo, and Chris Martin).

But overall, I think it's definitely a solid effort. It'll be interesting to see how the upcoming Nas album compares.

  17. I'm so glad I decided to wait until Thanksgiving break to buy this. I have so many research papers and exams to get started on in the next few weeks, and I'd never get anything done.

I definitely can't wait til I finally get my hands on it, though.
