  6. As an Israeli, one of our Musical Inspirations Abroad is Shiri Maimon. The "Influencing" "Blonette" was the headlight of The Eurovision Song Contest in 2005, and was said that the only thing holding her away from the first place is Biased European "Buddys" Votes. Shiri finished 4th. After That, Shiri decided to launch an International Music Career, Recording an English-Speaking Album. Europe is the destination. In this Year EMA [Europe Music Awards] She was chosen as the "Best Israeli Act"-Qualifying for The Qualifications Stage of the Tournament, and Being one of the Last 6, Which will be competing for the "Best European Act of 2008" Award. For the Israel Audience, just before the winner was announced, this was on "Now That Your'e Gone"-Shiri once again preformed against an OUTSTANDING crowd, both Live at the arena and At home, Watching. Shiri Finished 3rd, Defeating UK's Leona Lewis, and Coming second to Finley and to the Turkish Winner. For Future Discussion on the Israeli Phenomenon, here are some YouTube links to her singing. The Silence That Remains-Half Hebrew-From Eurovision Song Contest 2005 Look Up Shiri Maimon in Youtube for further English Songs as "Engel".
