  1. Yeah I heard depending on where he goes Adams may play some linebacker and then on passing downs line up as a DE similar to what Kamerion Wimbley did last year with the Browns and I can tell you that Wimbley was really able to play well as that combo last year so it is a possibility that Adams may do the same thing.

  2. Yeah I would definatly say that the Bulls are one of the better teams in the East but I dont know if I could put them as #2 just yet. They still dont have and inside precense offensively and i think that might hurt them come playoff time, from what I have seen of them they really live and die by jump shooting so depending on how they are playing they can kill a team or get blown out it all depends on how they shoot.

  3. Well I was just looking around since you guys were talking about the ending with the other song and I was able to find it on Youtube, I can kinda see what you guys were talking about it built the scene up more but like I said before I liked the ending either way.

For anyone else that wants to see the ending with the Arcade Fire song you can go here

  4. Really it depends on the type of Carter that you are getting, if you get an unhappy Carter then obviously the trade wouldnt work out to well but if they were able to please Carter enough in Orlando then they trade would have worked out well for them and correct me if I am worng but isnt Carter's contract expiring or cant he opt out after this season that could be another reason that they didnt make the trade. If it was just a rental for a couple of months that wouldnt be worth trading the guys away since the Magic probably arent going to the finals this year.

  5. From what I heard Kerney is probably going to the Seahawks and I have also heard that unless something happens and Jemarcus Russel is thier at the Browns pick they will take Adrian Peterson, not that this is huge news or anything but it is highly likely that it will happen.

  6. Over here in Cleveland I am hearing tons of trade rumors but I dont even know if any of them will go down. I have heard alot of talk about getting Bibby and filler for Gooden and some one like snow altough that trade would likely include a third team, rumored to be minn. or the Bulls to even things out a bit. Along with that I have heard some Kidd to Cleveland talk also but I think that has a minimal chance at happening unless the Cavs give up more then they need to. The latest rumors have Marcus Banks heading to the Cavs for some expiring contracts and I am not even sure if I would want that to happen since I dont really think Banks would be much of an upgrade. In the end I hope the Cavs are able to get one of the PG's since likely with one of them they would be legit title contenders with a legit PG.

  7. I think that the only reason that they did that for baseball was that the All star game really wasnt anymore entertaining then a regular baseball game so they wanted to make it more meaningful, while the basketball game is more entertaining even if it doesnt mean anything.

  8. The owner of the Indians is sorta tight pocketed but it works well too since they dont have alot of bad deals on the payroll and since there isnt a salary cap in baseball they dont have a specific amount to spend but they would spend much in the offseasons anyway. On the subject of trading thier younger guys for Willis type player I highly doubt that would happen. For one they value thier youngier guys alot and I would be suprised to see them trade them unless they were able to get a proven high quality player, not that Willis is that but it would likely take to much to get him here. Along with that they are pretty set with the rotation as I said, they might not have a clear #1 but they got consistency through the rotation in CC, Cliff Lee, Westbrook, and sometimes Byrd and if Sowers doesnt slump this year the rotation will look really good. Anyways I would rather see them get a proven closer that wouldnt take so much to get then a superstar pitcher.

  9. I gotta say that it should be a good year for baseball in the AL Central this year. Everyone is wondering if the Tigers can repeat what they did last year or have some of thier younger pitchers go into slumps. The White Sox should be up there too, they got some veterns and should be in contention in the 2nd half. I am really looking forward seeing the Indians play this season, I think last year one area of the team really blew things for the rest of the team and that was the bullpen. Without the bullpen the Tribe has one of the top line up in the league espesially if some of the guys come out of thier slumps last year(Peralta and Vic Martinez) and along with that the rotation is only getting better with all the young guys they have right now and ones that are coming up. Since they somewhat were able to adress the bullpen, altough some of the guys they have are question marks because of age or injury history, hopefully they can return to the form they were at 2 seasons ago. Along with that I know alot of people know who Grady Sizemore is but I dont really think that people realize how good this kid could be last year he became only the secound player to hit 50 doubles, 10 triples, 20 homer runs, and 20 stolen bases and he is only 23 and will only be playing his 3rd full season. Needless to say I glad spring training is already here and cant wait for the real season to start.

  10. Even though I like the East the All star game means nothing no matter who wins it is basically the teams going slam for slam and maybe 5 minutes of real basketball at the end if the game is close, and along with that no one cares who wins. Do you even know the winner of the last 3 all star games with out looking it up. Yeah I dont think anyone does.

  11. Also rather then start a new thread for another friendly I gotta mention that I am surprised but happy to see the US beat Mexico 2-0 tonight one header by Conrad and another breakaway goal by Donovon. Mexico brought 17 guys from thier world club squad and a majority of thier overseas players while the US brought 4 guys from overseas(Convey, C. Dempsey, Bocenegra, T. Howard) and 7 guys from the world cup team so it seemed like Mexico A team vs. the US B+ team. With this always being a big game between the countries no matter if it is a friendly, national competition or world cup, it is good to see us come out on top. This also brings our record to 7-0-1 in the last 8 matches vs. them on US soil and we havent allowed a goal against them on US soil in 8+ games. Hopefully this young team can countiue to improve and more and more I am looking forward to the Gold Cup(North and Central American/Caribean tournament) this summer along with the Copa America tornament which should give us some very good competition against some of the elite South American teams. I know this is just a friendly but it gives me some hope for the future with some of the young guys that are starting to excel.

  12. I would say that Gooch is inconsistent from watching him from the national team. He defiantly showed signs of a really good player, for example when he tottally shut down Borgetti in the US - Mexico game that qualified them for the WC. But once he got to the WC he seeemed to disappear, but I still think that with more experience at a high level like he would be getting now he would possibly like Ringy said turn into a good player.

  13. ESPN.com

MADRID, Jan 15 (Reuters) - Brazilian striker Ronaldo is surplus to requirements at Real Madrid, club president Ramon Calderon said on Monday.

Coach Fabio Capello has already said David Beckham, who is leaving at the end of the season to join Los Angeles Galaxy, and Italian striker Antonio Cassano do not feature in his plans for the rest of this campaign.

'The situation with Ronaldo is different to that of David Beckham as he still has another year left after this one,' Calderon told radio station Onda Madrid.

'But he is going to be inactive because the coach has made it clear he doesn't count on him, and it would surely be better for the club and him if he went if there are offers. If not, he will stay with us.

'We have to find an exit that's good for him. I know sporting director Predrag Mijatovic has had conversations with some clubs, and that the player also has offers. But we'll have to wait and see whether it will be now or in June.'

Ronaldo has only started three league matches under Capello this season, scoring once, but appears to be another victim of last week's decision to blood youngsters in the side.

He missed Sunday's 1-0 win over Real Zaragoza with an injury.

Press reports have linked the Brazilian with moves to Italy, Saudi Arabia and the United States.

  14. I just got Xbox Live recently and after seeing that GreenDemon was already taken I went to the random name generator and it came up with HumongousMeat so obviously that is the name I picked. I got NHL, NBA, and college Hoops as the games I most often play online and then Gears of War I havent really started playing online much.

  15. US to Broadcast '08 European Championship

This may not have alot to do with the MLS but I still think that it is pretty cool. As far as I know this is the first time that the US is broadcasting the European Championship in a while and is defiantly the first time they are showing every game on one of the channels atleast. Hopefully they will countiue to show soccer that isnt just based in the US like they mostly do with the occasional Champion Cup match.

  16. No offense but that is the one thing that I have hated about Browns fans even being one myself is that on a dime they can go from wanting one QB to another, look at last year even everyone was calling for Frye the first time Dilfer showed any sign of making mistakes. The coach has usually made the change to appease the fans and there hasnt yet been a point since the Browns have been back that changing the QB has worked out well, I would say that it is one of the bigger reasons that they have struggled for so long. They dont give the QB's a chance and they havent really put enough effort in trying to get anything better too.
