  1. Attention all UK members!

I desperately want the Assassin's Creed Revelations Animus Edition. I found a listing for it on eBay but the seller wants roughly $200 for it plus $100 in shipping, and the damn thing's only €101.67. So! Solution: I seek the aid of someone with the money and availability to hook me up on this thing. I'll cover the cost plus the cost of shipping via PayPal, I just need to know how much it all is together.

Anyone willing to help? Please? :crying:

  2. Ugh, sorry everyone. I've hit a huge snag and have been basically fixing it all night.

The file I'd saved everyone's role PMs in was corrupted-- I don't even know how. I mean, we've had power surges lately but I always fucking save. It's just aggravating. Anyway, thankfully I had an earlier backup handy so I went ahead and sent those roles out at the time of my last post. I've just been playing cleanup since then, writing the lost roles from memory. Never realized how long it'd actually take to be honest.

Anyway, almost everyone's roles have been sent. I've got a couple left to do and will be getting them out tomorrow afternoon. Apologies again for the delay, had I known earlier today that the file was corrupted I'd have put up a more accurate ETA on this thing, but I literally didn't find out until I opened it up to start sending PMs.

Will be getting out of work around 7PM EST tomorrow, so expect the last batch of PMs to go out after then when I get back. Game thread is ready to launch but I'd rather wait until everyone gets their PMs, so expect that up tomorrow night as well. For those of you who have your PMs, start working out how you'll be using your roles! I'm really excited to see how everyone handles this game, and I can't wait to see it kick off tomorrow.

Take it easy until then guys. Thanks for understanding.

  3. Fucking... Ruki, you just had to ruin the twist.

    :shifty:

Anyway, unexpected delay in startup. Apparently I'm taking someone to the airport today and have a few errands I was going to run after getting this thing up that I now will need to do after the airport instead. Game will still be up today, just more likely that it's going to happen later tonight instead.

On the plus side, everyone's roles were assigned earlier today. Can't wait to see how this all turns out.

EDIT: Well, I've just gotten home not all too long ago. Will be doing a few things before I start, but expect the game up within the next few hours.

Awesome motto for a high school, huh?

The multiverse is a dangerous thing to tamper with, and not something Kamina understood very well. In the aftermath of the great war against Kira, the revolutionary forces led by the fearless demon leader Kamina had set out to occupy the world taken by Light Yagami, hoping to make it a better place for all of man to flourish, freely, without the threatened oppression of a murderous god. They were a small band of men when it had all began, but when they began stumbling upon various survivors stretched out across the barren lands outside of Light's utopian settlement, they'd made a grave realization: there were others still appearing through the holes left behind, many confused and scared, and many looking for a way to get back home.

The multiverse is a dangerous thing to tamper with… and even more dangerous to try and return to normalcy. With a force greater than he could understand, Kamina set about building this world into a safe haven for those cast out by their worlds, eventually even reuniting with many from his own. Years of hard work and fighting spirit would pass by, as spiral power was used to bring the world to new heights. Finally, it seemed, there was at least a place to help those whose lives were torn apart by what had once been two science nerds foolish hopes of meeting those they'd admired in person.

Yes, all life on that planet seemed to be carrying on quite well, living together in harmony; however, in a very special high school within the confines of Kamina City, there was trouble brewing among the students of class 2-C and the school staff. Trouble that could potentially undo all the efforts set by the New Great Gurren Dan to make this world a better place.

This… is Anime Mafia V: Kamina High.

28 players. No real need of knowledge of anime to join (though having some may help you catch all the references). The backstory continues from the last game and develops on the world created since the first. I've already got a few pre-regs and I'm looking to fill up fast, so let's see some names, people!

  5. I can't wait for ME3. Beating ME2 was amazing and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I did everything logically throughout my playthrough as a Paragon Shep. Did all sidemissions, completed all upgrades and did as much shit as I could before even attempting to board the first Collector ship. Got Legion, did his loyalty mission and immediately jumped through the warp to save my crew.

In the end, didn't lose a soul to the Collector's. It's all about remembering the strengths of your team and putting the right people in charge, yeah. Especially...

... that last part when you're leaving a defensive team behind to help you. Soon as I realized I was leaving behind people to protect my ass, I kept my strongest allies back and took my weakest with me. I'd already sent Mordin off with the survivors because I figured he was the least likely I'd use in the base for anything else, so I brought Jack and Tali with me for the final fight. By the time it was all over and we were back on the ship I'd hear random crew members bragging about my FemShep dragging their asses back out from the Collector's and everything. It was so awesome.

That final shot with all the crew nodding to Shep after she bitches out The Illusive Man? Phenomenal.

  6. Blah, the name change is bothersome but I'm just going to call it "Avatar: Legend of Korra" regardless so whatever. I sincerely cannot wait for this, though what disappointed me was thinking it'd be out in November and finding out it'll actually be out next year. Am almost positive it'll be worth the wait, but damn it, I don't want to wait :(

Trailer filled me with confidence in this, too. Will be interesting to see how a character like how Korra seems will deal with an anti-bender uprising, nevermind everything else. Can't wait to see Aang as a spirit Avatar, too, and I really hope the rumors that his and Katara's grandson is her airbending teacher are true, because that'd prove to be an interesting touch if done right. All in all I really can't wait to see how the world made by the ending of the third book turned out after all that time. Very excited that they're continuing the series.

  7. Anyone else been following Ao no Blue Exorcist? It's been picking up like crazy and Lorina and I are absolutely hooked into it. It and Fairy Tale are the main two weeklies we have right now to wait on. Also, Lorina's getting me into FMA Brotherhood now... only watched the first episode but so far so good. Can't wait to go a bit deeper into it, I never actually had the opportunity to get full-on into the original FMA so yeah.

  8. Messed around a little with Project Zombie. It's fun, but it just sucks how the zombies can spawn literally right on top of you at times. Still very glitchy but an excellent idea with mostly fantastic execution, aside from the whole occasional unavoidable death thing.

  9. Can't wait for this. I'll be running our store's midnight launch for the Duke, got signs planned and prize giveaways. It's all very exciting stuff.

Still trying to come up with some good prizes though. And contests for the prizes. Originally wanted to do a flattop contest but our midnight was only confirmed as going down last week so that's a little short-notice to pull on people. Maybe best Duke impressions, trivia, maybe do some blackjack tournament... I've got some ideas flowing. Plus, we've got this massive standee in our store where you can put your face in the hole where the chick with Duke's face is and I thought pictures with the Duke would be a cool little thing. Have people leave their emails and we send them the pictures later on.

All in all, I want this thing to be huge. Even though our store is small and chances are we're going to get a small number of people to turn up for it (even when our preorders break 50 there's still usually only 20 people max who turn up) I want to make it worth it for that small group of people. It's Duke Nukem, after-all, you either go big or you don't go at all.

  10. Easy way if you can get enough Glowstone: Make a patterned floor with Glowstone and whatever block you wanted to use to begin with. Easy floor lighting to keep the mobs from spawning plus, depending on your mod, looks hella sweet too.

Another way, though significantly harder unless using InvEdit, is to dig a trench two blocks deep in a pattern around the room that you want lit up. Fill the first block level for the entire trench with lava, then cover the second block level with glass. Depending on the blocks surrounding the glass it can look very stylish though, once again, it's tedious and time consuming if you're not using InvEdit (and it wastes a shit ton of buckets).

Keeping that in mind, another scenic option is a mid-room lava fountain. Just make sure you've blocked it off well enough that there's no danger of embers catching blocks aflame or anything of the sort.

Lots of unconventional lighting methods really. Just depends on how your house/building/whatever is styled and what you think will look best.

  11. Playing through Mass Effect one right now... quite a ways in, gone through every side mission that's came up (right now the only one I'm working on besides collecting materials is the rogue Alliance VI on Luna mission) but have yet to investigate the Geth attacks or activity in the primary assignments portion. Saving those for when the side missions stop coming.

Have to admit, I really love this game. I already know that 2 blows it out of the water and so I'm really looking forward to that, but Mass Effect 1 has just really pulled me in. Have been doing this run with my custom female Natalia Shepard, wound up going with the 'Earthborne' and 'Sole Survivor' backstories as they interested me more. Also, since I love sniping I wound up going with the Infiltrator class. Relationships with everyone have been great, I've managed to do a few missions without killing anyone (maxed out my Charm and Intimidate stat pretty quick... sucks that there are still things I'm locked out of in conversation though)... only thing is I know soon as the side missions stop my next mission will see me coming back to the romance threeway drama.

Still going back and forth with who to reject. Doesn't help any that ever since I got spoiled about the later mission where I choose who to save, it's only served to make my decision more difficult.

But yeah, I've been playing it constantly for days now ever since I finally sat down to try it. Just an all-around fantastic game, I can't believe I've been missing out on this for so long.
