Is this how it was done before?  I could've sworn prior seasons were released in one drop, not broken up like this.

You're right, previous seasons were all at once. Guess they're trying to stretch the final season out as long as possible.

  2. Just finished Season 4a of Kimmy Schmidt - lots of fun. Probably best I've seen it since Season 1. Hate that it was only 6 episodes as I was really left wanting more and I just found out the 2nd half won't be out until Jan 2019. 😭😭

  3. Could be life to the Roseanne spinoff rumors after all

    Quote

TMZ reports that ABC is planning to reboot Roseanne again and an announcement could happen soon. Executives from the network have been negotiating with Tom Werner, who produced the show through Carsey-Werner. Since he’s involved, this more or less means that it’s a done deal. They’re currently figuring out how to do that without Roseanne Barr, who was the star and executive producer.

ABC has been looking at possibly rebranding the show and focusing on Sara Gilbert’s character Darlene. John Goodman is said to be “very interested” along with the remaining cast and crew. However, while ABC stands by firing Barr, they may have to pay her a fee or back end for her creation of the show. They could also argue that this is a different show so they don’t have to.

ABC is trying to save the jobs of those who worked on Roseanne, which they cancelled last week after Barr sent out a racist tweet comparing Valerie Jarrett to an ape. The announcement could happen as early as this week.

I saw people floating the idea of doing a spiritual continuation of the show but with Wanda Sykes taking Roseanne's place. I would totally watch that.

Not a big Wanda Sykes fan, myself - at least on screen. I would love to see them just spin the show off without her - given the storylines from this season, it'd actually be pretty easy to write her off and have the show be about the Connors without Roseanne. There'd be plenty of interesting stories to tell and John Goodman/Laurie Metcalf would be very strong leads.

That would make me a very happy AOS fan, but at this point i've been expecting nothing after this season and i'm fully prepared to begrudgingly accept an end to a rare series that made me watch every single week, I truly don't want to wait excess weeks to watch AOS episodes.

If a show hasn't been renewed or canceled yet, they'll always call it a season finale - even if ultimately it ends up being canceled. I believe I heard the finale was written to serve as a series finale if it needed to be, so we shall see how that plays out. That said, I feel like it will be renewed though since I feel like they would've canceled it by now like they did with Once Upon a Time since those were pretty similar shows in ratings/time they've been on.

  6. Spoiler

I think there was some thought that the Wolves would be the Saviors, but since the Wolves didn't have guns and these folks did as well as no W's on their head, confirms that the Saviors are in fact something else. Though I remain uncertain if the group Daryl interacted with in the woods was suppose to be the Saviors as well.

I wonder what happened to some of the other characters in that episode, like

    Yeah and...

    Spoiler

There has been a serious lack of Aaron this season besides his episode with Maggie.

  8. Thoughts on mid-season finale

    Spoiler

I didn't hate the episode, but when the credits hit I did kind of echo GoGo's sentiments...there was so much rising action and it felt like it should've been another 15-30 minutes longer and ultimately the anti-climactic nature made it come off flat in the end. Sure, we have about as many cliff hangers as we've ever had in a mid-season finale that I can remember...but it just feels like nothing was accomplished, revealed, or learned. I guess I'm mostly just ticked off about having to wait til February to get the climax of what we just witnessed, but I guess that's what they wanted <_< But yes, the post-credits scene was awesome and almost made up for the treading water of the actual episode.

  9. I want to like this...I really do. Game Over was a step in the right direction, but somehow this show managed to jump into the action too fast which lead to a severe lack of character development...but also at the same time, move really slowly considering it's a limited series. I'm not even sure how that's possible, but they manage it!

  10. Couldn't stay up to watch even the beginning of the race...(3 am finish on a Sunday is crazy!) but couldn't believe the highlights this morning. Always good to see Jr in victory lane but definitely glad to see Austin Dillon was okay after that scary wreck.

  11. Did that show ever get any better? I watched up to the point where (spoilers just in case)...

... the son turned out to be as close to a literal plot device as you could possibly get...

... and just gave up. It never really seemed to live up to the promise it's creators and cast had.

Season 1 was definitely a mess, but I stuck around and powered through it. Season 2 has been miles and away much better than Season 1 and now I'd call it one of my favorite shows. Granted, it might be too little too late as it's a bit of a toss up right now as to whether or not it's going to get a Season 3.

  12. Amazing episode, I can't believe AVClub gave it such a low grade.

I'm on the side saying Judith is in fact, not dead. For one, the car seat was unbuckled...zombies wouldn't be able to unbuckle a carseat. There was no body...a zombie would've snacked on the little one right there in the car seat. Plus the blood on the car seat was very minimal - most likely from whoever unbuckled her.

On the run, it would make sense for whoever grabbed her to just take the baby instead of lugging around an awkward car seat in the chaos. I'm not sure it was Tara because we never really saw her involved much in the action enough to have blood on her. I read somewhere else that there's a part after Tyrese and the girls had their moment on screen, there is an explosion where you can see Tyrese running in the background holding something in his arms (his gun is slung over his back, so it's not that). I'm not sure I buy that theory, but it was interesting.

I'm not sure if Tara and Lilly are sticking around for the second half of the season or if they were only around for the Governor storyline, but if it was Tara who took her, I think it would be interesting to see if they try to replace Meghan with Judith.

  13. In spoilers due to discussion about the end of the most recent episode.

I'm not sure the Governor is himself the one feeding the walkers considering it seemed to be someone from inside the gates of the prison doing it - and I don't know if the Governor would've been able to sneak through the fence each night to feed the walkers or if he has someone on the inside doing it.
