So I'm currently sat in the airport in Stockholm waiting to go back home. I had tickets for the Avs game last night, and although it sucked to see us lose, in such a stupid fashion no less, the experience was incredible. I'd been to live UK hockey before, but the NHL is (obviously) on another level. The Girard kid we got in the trade seems legit, and McKinnon is FAST. I thought we deserved more from the game to be honest, we had more of the possession and Ottawa only had a couple of chances, which they unfortunately cashed in on.

Best thing was our seats were right by the tunnel the Avs came out through, so I got fist bumps from MacK, Kerfoot and Yakupov. And Landy threw a puck at me but it went over my shoulder and my dad was to busy taking a picture of me fist bumping players to catch it for me :@

I stopped paying attention around January last year. From memory, it seems the Avs have already matched their win total from 2016/17. I say it's because they brought back the glorious rocky mountain jersey hem. . 

Do ANYTHING with the waiver rule, I somehow ended up without a defense for 2 weeks. And I'd be happy with one fewer bench spot too, there's no fun sleepers to swipe. Admittedly I am salty at having the first overall pick go down 10 minutes into the season, but still.

Very sad, he and Nick Halling were brilliant hosting the NFL on Sky, Neil Reynolds isn't bad, but it's never been quite the same. I doubt I'd have watched nearly as much Red Zone as I do now had it been an option then.

Has it been reported how he died? I haven't seen it anywhere and he wasn't especially old. 

I'm not sure exactly how it decides your kick is getting blocked, but I find changing the timing of the kick seems to help (if you hold down a/x on the third press when setting accuracy on kick meter, it only starts the kick when you release the button) 

Jesus fuck, how does the statue sack bullshit make it into the final game? When have you ever seen a qb stand in a perfectly formed pocket without scrambling for 10+ seconds with no threat of a sack? 

I've yet to level up high enough to do the raid. To be honest I don't think I'll have a crew to raid with. I've done almost everything bar a few campaign missions solo so far. My flatmate takes it all far too seriously for me to really join his lot and the only other friend I was playing with has just switched over to PS4. 

I hate hate hate the bullshit tactic of snapping the ball just to get a 12 man penalty when the dude is literally a step away from the sideline. It's not like he's actually involved in the play and the defense is gaining an advantage by having an extra guy out there. 

The shader thing annoys me more because they've changed how they work from the first game specifically to try and eke some extra cash out of us. I won't bite, and it's really the only complaint I have about a game that has seemingly fixed everything that made me leave the first game before the first expansion came out. Trouble is I know look like some mismatched spastic scarecrow because I hoard all my shades for fear of wasting them on something I'm going to have made obsolete in 10 minute's time. 

Fuck sake David Johnson. 

Sucks Jay Bruce got traded, but it was cool to see him walk off the record breaking win for Cleveland. 

I would be up for it, but everyone is on ps4 now and I don't fancy buying it twice. 

I picked the Mets as my dad used to tape channel 4s sports coverage. First baseball I ever saw was Buckner's fuck up in '86,followed by the music video Let's Go Mets, which is objectively the best team song ever. Plus they wear blue and orange like the Bears, which is as good a reason as any for a kid. But I've only had a passing interest, my parents brought me a Yankees jersey back from New York one year and I dabbled with just supporting everything Chicago. Figured I'd actually commit this year and liked the look of the then-healthy pitching staff and I knew of Cabrera and Reyes. 

I'm sure everything will be fine. 

I'm not sure I'm comfortable with the league conducting its own investigations into off field stuff like this. Why is it the league's job to investigate a domestic violence incident? That's what the police are for. If he's arrested or charged or whatever, fine suspend him. I just don't see that the NFL has the proper ability or impartiality to be conducting investigations like this. 

I picked a hell of a year to finally settle on the Mets as my team.
