  1. I had a perfect game going through 6 with Seth Lugo against the D-Backs, gave up one hit, then a walk, then another hit and a home run. Still won the game, but it's really frustrating not at least getting the shutout, especially when other teams around the league have multiple. I can't even get a complete game out of the Mets' staff, but Kershaw and a few others have around 10.

Still game for online franchise btw, not sure how it works with so many games to play (I've only done Madden online before).

  2. Throwing my hat in for online franchise if one happens. Been playing loads this year, hitting finally starting to click after about 5 years of buying the game and getting frustrated. Possibly related to me actually watching more baseball this year. Haven't touched diamond dynasty much, but I did create a Bullet Club uniform.

  3. I can just see there being a gajillion different controller attachments by the end of its lifespan.

I'm intrigued so far, it's not day one for me, but it looks pretty cool. One thing they need to clarify for me is how multiplayer works with half a controller, how do I fully control something as complex as as NBA 2k when I only have half the button inputs available?

  4. The skill streak ends without banking any points if you collide with anything, if you just come to a stop and let the streak timer expire it should bank anything you have. Admittedly I'm only going off FH2 here, but I can't imagine they'd drastically change the base mechanic. Add DragsyTwoSeven if you want another drivatar, I don't have 3 yet, but I'm fairly sure it just goes off data from any Forza game that supports drivatars.

  5. If you're not into your fps games, I'd probably leave it. There's so much going on all the time and it's not a simple case of racking up kills. If you don't have a squad or a mic, it's not that enjoyable.

That said, if you're wanting to get into fps games, it's worth putting the time in. It's much more rewarding than most shooters I've played  (admittedly, I'm not a huge fps fan myself and my stick skills say leave a lot to be desired).

Its easily then best looking game on the console though, there's nothing I'd recommend more for showing off the machine's graphical capabilities.

I found my calling tonight, as a medic. Everything just clicked, my teammates were loving the novelty of having a medic who, y'know actually healed and revived them and I was able to stay alive for more than 20 seconds a pop by sticking with folk who defended me.

One thing I'm loving already is the stories it's giving us to tell. All night me and my party were sharing war stories, highlights that we just don't seem to get with other games - or at least don't inspire us enough to tell. For example, my squad of three had pushed into a bunker in the forest map and found another squad getting overrun by enemies. We helped clear them out, but they were bombarding us with grenades and dynamite. Somewhere along the line, I lost my squad (turns out after taking the point they'd moved on to the next), so I was dashing around fixing up the rest of this squad that we'd bumped into and helped push back the enemy until it was safe, with no comms. Then got orders from my leader and had to force my way through the forest to the next point where I was eventually reunited with them and helped them destroy a train. Probably doesn't sound like much, but it felt like a movie to us, and we were telling each other the same story from different points of view (and for the benefit of others who joined us after) long into the next match.

  6. Ha! I didn't. I did see a suggestion afterwards to join the game you were in (you're Thrillhaus, right?),  but I'd quit out to watch the Bears game. Were you allied?

I came into the thread to marvel at how good it looks, but I'm utterly lost with the actual game play. No idea how I should play any class, I can't find my footing as I'm just instantly shot to pieces, is been pretty frustrating so far. Obviously, I'm not a series veteran; I've played a bit of 3 and 4,and had much the same experience.

    P. S. Fuck snipers. I don't get fascination.

  7. Definitely steer clear of Game's own brand play and charge packs. They don't last very long and there's been loads of problems with them not even fitting in the controller properly. We had loads of them returned when I was there. Not as bad as the 360 ones, but still not worth saving a few quid for.

  8. Someone explain why so many are calling for Hoyer to keep the starting job. He threw for 300 yards today, but no TDs. He continues to ignore the top receiving threat in Jeffrey in favour of Cameron Meredith, who's only playing as Kevin White is injured. Yeah, Cutler can be careless, but I don't see the Bears winning any games with Hoyer, Cutler gives you a chance.
