  1. Lets be honest as well. Spurs form and how leaky the defense was they weren't realistically gonna get anything from that game other than a draw.

I do think there is a smidge of hollier than thou attitude about it and its being made out like every single Spurs fan wanted them to get beat. It's an easy coping mechanism as a Spurs fan to be like ah slim chance of Champions League is gone but Arsenal aren't gonna win the league. It's easy to judge when the shoes on the other foot

Also, you're in a situation of relying on another team to do you a favour in your title rival's game in hand. You dropped points elsewhere. The league wasn't won by City at Tottenham's ground... it was won when Arsenal had a really bad mid to end of December by losing to Villa, drawing at Anfield (with help of Odegaard playing basketball in the box), losing to Fulham and West Ham. 4 points from 15 in a run of games isn't going to help you win the title.

  2. When two teams could have scored about 7 or 8 collide. Some proper sitters missed in that match and some really naff defending. Its telling when a lad gets MOTM for a 10 minute performance in which he scores a well placed shot and another taking a mad deflection of him.

Thought we looked worse again following the changes. Can't argue with the result though.

Just hope we finish on a high for the final game.

This is an interesting essay on the relationship between Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool (the city): https://www.ft.com/content/c3f61974-d482-40d8-b135-94d035c776db

Gonna be so weird that he's not going to be around. The biggest thing I liked about Klopp was probably Klopp outside of football like the way he is, when you see hik in videos with kids, disabled fans etc, his beliefs. He very much was in line with a lot of the people.

I totally get how people don't like him cause of how he can be in a footballing sense but there'll never be another man like him managing the club in my lifetime.

  4. Marine AFC are finally in the National League North after 45 years.

You may remember Marine from the FA Cup back in 2021 when Spurs travelled their for an away game.

Absolutely buzzing for the club. Same with Prescot Cables who attracted a 2000+ crowd to watch them gain promotion to the Northern Premier League's Premier Divison

I love Bologna. Easily the best city in Italy. If they were to want me to play for them I’d be willing to give it serious consideration.

Gutted we didn't get a chance to go to Bologna when me and Heather went on our honeymoon to do a tour of Italy. Was thinking to go their after Verona (beautiful city in its own right) but money constraints meant we couldn't.

Thiago Motta has done a fantastic job with the club. Always got a soft spot for Italian football cause of Football Italia and early Championship Managers

  6. I could see Ten Hag staying when the new structure is in place but there needs to be a clear out in the summer. Might be in their best interest to miss out on Europe completely.

Sure he has one year left. It may be a last chance and you're gone. Cause he has somehow got that shower of shite to a 4th place finish, a league cup win and a FA Cup final. I do think he's partly to blame but not fully to blame.

Be interesting how Brexit Jim handles things cause he's apparently already caused a stir with the no more working from home and thats just office staff he's meant to have pissed off

  7. I feel sly on Moyes. I get West Ham fans wanna progress more and want to play a better style of play, but he's done a really good job with that squad.

But then I do get that maybe things have gotten stale and samey and that a refresh might be needed

He was fucking awful today. Glad to see they've completely abandoned the time-wasting initiative.

That said, can't concede the goals we did and complain too much. But like that's gonna stop me.

Oh one hand it was like, he's letting a lot of potential yellow card tackles go here which is good in a sense for a derby but on the other did think he was poor.

It was interesting to watch. Arsenal capitalised on two set pieces and a counter it was ruthless efficiency. Thought Tottenham played well, you can see that's a team who can develop further. Just the final end ball was poor at times, started to feel very deja vu the amount of times a ball was whipped in straight to Raya

Is this penalty for Rice literally kicking a player between the legs the best example yet of a referee waving play on because they know VAR can bail them out?

I'm so fed up of what the technology has made the game at the top level. And that's before we mention yet another inches-worth offside call from VAR earlier in the game.

I wouldn't give Oliver the benefit of the doubt over that. That was awful, it was right in front of him

  10. No arguments about the result

But Anthony Taylor is shite. Didn't blow a foul on Areola. He rolls the ball out, Gakpo runs a fair distance and gets it. Claims he was playing advantage so Gakpo has to go back. Areola picks it up and rolls it again.

Like....not to go on but the refs really are crap

  11. The team that not only played better but wanted it more won. Fair play.

Painfully limping towards the end of Klopp's reign.

Fulham must be like how the fuck did they beat us given our performances since March

First derby win at Goodison since 2010. Absolutely buzzing.

See, I thought that FA Cup game was after 2010 the one ITV missed the goal so was shocked it was actually longer than it was.

Turns out it was 19th placed Liverpool under Woy that day who then went on to say it was our best performance of the season

  12. Didn't the owner of Forest go on a ref tangent in Greece saying they hated Olympiakos before? If so least he's consistent.

I don't think the decisions against Forest or the notable ones are ones that are by any means highly controversial. The handball I've seen given and other times not.
