  1. i like the additional comments i remember starting an Inter Milan game and they were asking what my tactics was and just said I ain't given my tactics away so teams know how i'm going to play and the journalist asked the same question and typing a bunch of swear words in

About the Joe F*ckin Kinnear impression you'd need like 49 f*cks in there lol to come close to him

  2. I'm getting sick of teams unsettling my football players. In Pre-Season and Barcelona want to buy Van Der Vaart and he than wants to leave so i'm like he's one of my best players and he doesn't want to be here. If he wants to go i'll offload him for some cash and just replace his ass...Which i did £25 mil to be precise to Barca and the replacement came in the form of Diego for £15mil.

Than i saw that De Silvestri got unsettled this time by Manchester City after a impressive debut season which helped to raise his stock worth so again i don't want some player winging about wanting to move so i saw that Micah Richards had been pretty much outed by Sven (Who left at the end of the season) and unsettled him so a straight swap deal was in order...

Carew same happened to him from Roma so sold him for £8mil after he was my top goalscorer (Add Agbonlahor who left for £5.5mil to Rangers but was playing crap anyway)

That's not it...Manuel Neuer again wanted to leave cause Bayern came in so sold him for £10 million.

Now i lost alot of key players right there but with a starting budget of £55mil and well money from transfer fees i could reshape my team how i saw fit.

Sivok came in for £3.6 mil a transfer agreed in January, Guilherme a talented Left Back came in for £7mil, Eduardo for £2.5mil who my scouts rated highly a very versatile player who can play Left Back, Centre back, left mid etc.

Now my 3 big big big signings well 1 of them was very unexpected. I thought you know what i'll try and buy Ribery for a laugh so put in £30 mil offer and it got accepted so thought no chance in hell he'd agree to wages offered him around 75,80k a week and he wants to join so that made me very happy. I signed Simao for a deal that will be worth around £17/18 mil with monthly installments of £1mil for 12 months and i brought in Javi Martinez for a deal that will be worth £22.5mil but again £1.3mil over 12 months.

For the replacement keeper i signed Juan Pablo Carrizo in who looks to be a decent replacement. My problem last season was letting in to many goals and so with a better looking back 4 and keeper should be going in strong but with the olympics lost Aguero, Eduardo and Guilherme so Bouma, Maloney and Davies will be getting chances to shine.

Oh and still about unsettled players fucking Barry now unsettled due to Bayern and Villarreal so my Captain might be going as well and need to find someone with 18 influence and a good Centre Mid with very little money

  3. I've got them all and well i'm defo going to be getting this one anyway lol.

The thing that could end up bugging me with the 3d match engine are two things:

    A) It'll probably slow the PC down alot to try and run it

    B) Little details such as what player will be who. I don't want a slaphead to be Torres lol stuff like that will probably just kinda annoy me like on PES when Skrtel has hair or on Fifa Dossena's really weird sideburns.

Oh the trailer was ok not as good as this one for Football Manager 2005

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QM4zHjd_s3w

  4. "The wait is almost over. The Football Manager 2009 demo for the PC and MAC is set for release later this week from the early hours of Sunday 2nd November. "

Just got an Email of Sega than saying the demo is available from midnight on Sunday 2nd November.

The Strawberry version got player pictures etc etc and quick start top leagues, Vanilla just got English and Scottish leagues and you gotta download that from News of the World website.

    Can't wait!!!

  5. Well i got into Europe just not the European competition i wanted as i finished 5th by +2 goal difference which is a bit of a killjoy but hey i'm in Europe i met my target that i said to the board i'd qualify for European football and i'm quite pleased considering a run of bad form almost cost us it but right at the end great set of fixtures helped us.

Van Der Vaart pipped Drogba and Adebayor to the English Footballer of the Year which has pleased me and he and Martin Laursen are in the team of the year

    Here is the table:

    Table.jpg

    European Competitions:

Uefa Cup Winners: Fiorentina drew 0-0 with Shaktar, Won on pens 4-2

Champions League Winners: Arsenal beat Real Madrid 2-1

  6. Deco is a good player to use for freekicks. I've scored one and it didn't even get me the achievement so that annoyed the hell out of me. Only time i scored one and the closest i've been lately was with Deco at my mates so wouldn't of gotten the achievement. Like an inch to high

  7. I keep getting linked with tons of jobs lol

    Been linked with:

Liverpool job twice before they hired Schaff (Got sacked than linked for 2nd time) and now hiring Mar

Udiense job i got linked with after they sacked their manager

Zaragoza job been linked with cause they don't want to resign Irueta

Man.Utd job got linked with same reason as Zaragoza

With 2 games left here is the table (Everyone has finally played the same amount of games lol)

    3rd: Newcastle 68 Pts

    4th: Man.Utd 65 Pts

    5th: Everton 64 Pts

    6th: Me 62 Pts

    7th: Spurs 57 Pts

Spurs are well and truly ruled out of getting Uefa Cup spot and Arsenal have claimed the title with 2 games left with them being 7 pts ahead of Chelsea.

    Newcastle: Blackburn Away, Everton Away

    Man.Utd: Chelsea Away, Boro Home

Everton: West Ham Away , Newcastle Home

Aston Villa: Reading Home, Sunderland Away

Looking at those fixtures i have the easiest matches possible and really should get 6 points from them two games. This is where i need Everton or Man.U to slip up because well if Newcastle were to be the team to slip up i won't really be able to get into Champions League so hopefully Newcastle wins them two games and Man.U loose to Chelsea and i should get Uefa Cup spot and maybe Champions League on Goal Difference

  8. I started playing it yesterday for a little bit and i'm really enjoying it and feel that it's everything that i wanted GTA to be in a sense. Just OTT, Crazy S*it happening and fun. My guy looks pretty darn cool and i haven't done alot of missions but i can tell this games going to be really great

  9. Well i lost in the FA Cup semi final and currently the table is looking like this

    3rd: Everton Played 34- 63 Pts

    4th: Newcastle Played 34- 62 Pts

    5th: Spurs Played 34- 56 Pts

    6th: Man.Utd Played 31- 55 Pts

    7th: Me Played 33- 55 Pts

    8th: Man City Played 34- 52 Pts

    Here is our fixtures;

    Villa: Birmingham H, Man.Utd A, Fulham A, Sunderland H, Reading A

Everton: Chelsea H, Derby H, West Ham A, Newcastle H

Newcastle: Derby H, West Ham H, Blackburn A, Everton A

    Spurs: Bolton A, Man.Utd A, Arsenal H, Fulham A

    Man Utd: Villa H, Blackburn A, Wigan A, Reading A, Spurs H, Chelsea A, Middlesbrough H

    Man.City: Birmingham A, Arsenal A, Fulham H, Sunderland A

With a few big games between each other i need to capitilize and also hope Man.U drop points in their games in hand with me about to play Birmingham

  10. I offered him a new contract and hey presto he's playing. (Some reason i signed him to only a 1 year deal)

Well heres an update of what's happened since last time. I've started to get a good run of results going after beating Chelsea 3-2

    Spurs 1-1 Away

    Middlesbrough 4-4 Away

Sunderland 5-1 (FA Cup 6th Round) Home

    Derby 4-0 Home

    West Ham 4-0 Away

    Everton 2-1 Home

    Bolton 0-2 Away

So from the Chelsea game managed to get a great run of form earning points bringing me right back into Champions League contention apart from the loss to Bolton were i was missing Bouma and De Silvestri due to suspension, and with Chelsea in the FA Cup Semi Final there is a possibility that i could be in the Final

Since Aguero made his debut in the Sunderland game in which he scored he also netted 1 against Derby, A Hattrick against West Ham and scored both goals against Everton

It also seems that Arshavin and Van Der Vaart are performing really well and my midfield looks pretty darn good in the shape of Barry, Petrov, Van Der Vaart and Arshavin plus with Ashley Young still to come back i've gotten a really good team. Plus with Sivok and possibly Guilherme joining for next season should be looking strong. Here's the table

    3rd: Everton 59 Pts 32 Played

    4th: Newcastle 56 Pts 31 Played

    5th: Me 55 Pts 32 Played

    6th: Man.U 52 Pts 30 Played

    7th: Spurs 52 Pts 31 Played

It's still rather close with 6,7 games left (8 for Man.U damn it!!!) And my fixture list looks like this:

    Arsenal H

    Birmingham H

    Man.Utd A

    Fulham A

    Sunderland H

    Reading A

I should beat Birmingham, Fulham, Sunderland and Reading but as obvious on there Man.U game is the biggest game left as a win over them will be a big boost for morale and being points ahead of them. Anyone wanting to predict who finishes in 3rd,4th and 5th lol

  11. You can move clubs at the end of the season.

I'm not happy i scored a peach of a goal with Torres before with a great ball to Keane on the wing who crossed it it bounced, Torres went through and smashed it in the top corner. My internet decided not to work and now like 10 minutes after the game it's working not happy with that lol

  12. Most of them were ok/decent the one that i found really funny was the title

I met this really kinky girl last night. 'Humiliate me,' she said ... So I bought her a Tottenham shirt and

"What would an improved version of Spurs be called? Newcastle United."

    class :D

The thing with us only having 6 points if games finished after 58minutes the silly thing is though with that is Games would never finish after 58 minutes so bit of a silly statistic lol means we got 22 minutes to score goals and win

Rumours of Billic being linked with the Spurs job and lets just be honest who would want the job at this minute in time lol. I'm suprised Ramos is still there i would of hightailed it away by now lol. The problem they have is A) They have no real midfielder to stay back there too many attacking players who seem to be in the team because they big players for them, B) Bent and Pav just can't score and are quite similar. The thing that bugs me about this is the fact that they said after they signed him they are too similar...If you scouted him properly you would of worked that out and maybe not of decided to splash out for him and finally C) They got no leader on the pitch. If Spurs get relegated that would just be the most funniest thing i've seen in football in a long long time and i thought the Newcastle crisis was funny when it first started off

  13. I just want Newcastle and Tottenham to keep on crashing and burning as it is quite funny to see. Nothing beats watching Spurs at the minute especially the comedy fiasco that occurred against Stoke. Two red cards, loosing to Stoke and Gomes knocking Corluka out. Kinda feel sorry for Spurs fans and i feel sorry for me as i think past two years i've said oh i think Spurs can break into the Top 4. Holy cow they've signed Bentley, Modric, Dos Santos etc they've got a good chance at breaking into the top 4 but no.

Hull look like they'll be this years newly promoted team that does boss when they come up first season than next few seasons will do jack shit. Ala Wigan, Reading, Ipswich, Sunderland (When they had Phillips, Quinn etc)

    Also I might buy Drogba's autobiography...not

  14. lol History tends to repeat it's self as seen in my game

    BowyerVDyerII.jpg

Oh and what do you know i should criticize Agbonlahor more lol. I'm down to Spurs after 84 minutes when Bent decides to score a goal...5 Minutes added time 93rd minute after bringing Agonlahor on around 75th minute he gets a goal. Now why couldn't he do that in most other games except he can score against Yeovil... Also why don't Arsenal who are top and pretty much been wiping the floor with everyone can only muster up a draw against Newcastle when i look at the fixture and see it as a perfect chance to gain points on them... Bastards

Also Liverpool running through Managers even more. Thomas Schaaf has been sacked after well leaving Liverpool in 11th and after learning from last time decided to decline on the subject and my usual method after Spurs feel the goal was controversial my response...Lighten up. Cannot wait for 09 and the Journalists lol try to be Jose Mourinho and Mike Basset morphed into one ultimate manager

  15. I was wondering what people thought of the game who have currently got it. What the good things are and what the bad things are. I'm getting the game for my birthday on Saturday and i had the first one and kinda excited to get this one so was curious as to peoples opinions

  16. Well his mug is bit better than Skrtel and his eastern European thug look even though Skrtel is a god :D

Well i beat Pompey 2-1 in the FA Cup setting up a tie against Sunderland at home.

AND I BEAT CHELSEA 3-2 :D They were on a 22 unbeaten streak going into this their 27th Prem game and a great performance from Barry, Arshavin and Carew getting first half goals to help me get a win that helps ease some pressure on me.

With Spurs next it's a great chance to gain points on people i'm battling with for that Champions League or Uefa Cup spot but with those results came Ashley Young getting injured for 2 months so my team looks like this at the moment:

    GK: Neuer

    DR: Olof Mellberg

    DL: Wilfred Bouma

    DC: Martin Laursen

    DC: Curtis Davies

    ML: Gareth Barry

    MC: Stilliyan Petrov

MC: Van Der Vaart (Suspended for Spurs game)

    MR: Shaun Maloney

    FC: Andrey Arshavin

    FC: John Carew

    Subs:

    GK: Vincent Enyeama

    DC: Pascal Cygan

    MR: Gabriel Torje

    MR/ML: Wayne Routledge

    FC: Gabriel Agbonlahor

Plan is to move Arshavin to MC, Move Maloney to upfront and play Routledge in Right Mid with Osbourne coming onto the bench. Also question about Aguero. When the season ends the following season will he be able to play?

Also why whenever i play Agonlahor he is the biggest piece of crap striker ever? I mean he can never get a goal in the net on my game

  17. Typical...

I sell Marlon Harewood, Luke Moore, Steven Taylor- Total of about 8 mil and Reo Coker to Everton for 8.5 mil and i see Aguero is unhappy at Madrid...Cue last last minute deadline transfer put in a 15mil bid due to release clause i sign him and than i cannot play him cause of Work Permit issues. So i got Aguero just sitting around doing nothing and 15 mil gone bye bye until he can play which i don't know will be...

Signed Enyeama too for 1 mil as a backup keeper for now and with De Silvestri haven been out for a bit and Curtis Davies left me with no real cover so managed to sign Pascal Cygan who got released start of the game for 6 months as backup.

    Results since i last posted

    W Yeovil 2-0 FA Cup 3rd Round

    L Blackburn 2-1

    W Liverpool 3-0

    W Wigan 2-0

    D Middlesbrough 1-1 FA Cup 4th Round

    L Newcastle 2-1

    D Man.City 0-0

W Middlesbrough 2-0 FA Cup 4th Round Replay

So i got Pompey 5th Round of the FA Cup and the table looks like this after 26 games

    4th: Newcastle, 46 Pts, Played 26

    5th: Man.Utd, 45 Pts, Played 26

    6th: West Ham 44 Pts, Played 26

    7th: Spurs, 43 Pts, Played 25

    8th: Me 41 Pts, Played 25

    9th: Blackburn 37 Pts, Played 26

So it's really close battle for that Champions League spot and Uefa Cup + Intertoto Cup spot With a game in hand will put me closer to 4th.

    Remaining fixtures look like this:

    Chelsea at Home

    Spurs Away

    Middlesbrough Away

    Derby Home

    West Ham Away

    Everton Home

    Bolton Away

    Arsenal Home

    Birmingham Home

    Man.Utd Home

    Fulham Away

    Sunderland Home

    Reading Away

  18. Well the bad little run of results has ended beat Reading 1-0 dominate performance changed formation to 4-5-1 and played Van Der Vaart and Petrov as Attacking Midfielders and bringing Reo Coker back into the team at DM. Reading got 2 players sent off didn't have a single shot while i had several opportunities

Match against Pompey ended a bore 0-0 draw too many missed chances and now dropped down to 7th. 4 pts behind Man.Utd in 4th, 2 behind Newcastle in 5th and 1 behind Spurs who have a game in hand...So not looking great again....Going back to the 4-5-1 formation i used against Man.Utd where i looked so good going to use that against Yeovil and give players i don't normally play games and have Arshavin and Laursen start to gain match fitness

Van Der Vaart came 2nd for European Midfielder of the year so that's made me happy that he's been recognized main factor in why we going after Europe

  19. Jesus Christ it's just going from bad to worse now. Lost 2-0 away to Sunderland a loss that means with 1 game till the halfway point the table looks like this:

    3rd: Everton 41 pts

    4th: Man.Utd 32 pts

    5th: Me 30 pts

    6th: Newcastle 30 pts

7th: Spurs 29pts (Game in hand)

    8th: West Ham 28pts

I'm getting dragged into a battle for that Champions League and Uefa Cup spots and i don't know what's going wrong and i can't buy anyone due to lack of money thanks to big spending start of the season. Arshavin should be fit for the next game but i can't be resting my hopes on one player. I'm going to try a new formation see if it works with the schedule looking like this:

    Reading Home

    Pompey Home

    Yeovil (FA Cup) Home

    Blackburn Away

    Liverpool Home

  20. I expected them to plead for me to stay... :shifty:

Turns out they hired Thomas Schaaf so leaves me in a sticky situation...Atleast none of the players seem to have lost morale and my job security ain't gone down. Just have to win next few games then they'll forget about it.

With Arshavin back hopefully fortunes will turn around

  21. lol the Aston Villa board are rather annoyed with me.

Javier Aguierre got sacked by Liverpool due to really crap performances leaving them 12th and i've been linked with the job. I said i'd be extremely interested in taking the job to try and get them from 12th to higher and now they are rather annoyed...

  22. Friggin typical...

I had Fulham who i beat easily 2-0 and Mellberg decides to get himself a 5th Yellow Card so haven't got him and Laursen for the Arsenal game...

Take the lead after 2 minutes with Van Der Vaart and than Eboue scores 27th minute...Curtis Davies decides to give away a penalty 39th minute and Mutu Converts. Davies than decides to injure Bendtner doing something good right before half time.

Petrov is injured so bring on Agbonlahor and move Maloney to Right Mid at half time...

Davies scores 48th minute and i'm back in front only for Mutu to score 52nd minute.

Now it's pretty even game but Agonlahor decides to miss a few sitters near the end. 5 Minutes added time so what happens my defense decides to have a break and Van Persie scores...

Arsenal were unbeaten up to this point and i really needed a win to gain points on Man.U and Spurs.

4th: Man Utd 30 pts with a game in hand

    5th: Villa (Me) 30 pts

6th: Spurs 28 Pts with two games in hand

22 Shots; 12 on Target, 48% Possession for Arsenal

21 Shots; 11 on Target, 52% Poessession for me.

It's just frustrating me now as i've drawn 3, lost 1 and won 1 last 5 games but luckily Arshavin should be back soon so maybe turn my fortunes around and i really need to invest in maybe another defender in the January transfer window because without Mellberg and Laursen it leaves me with a very young back four (Apart from Bouma) and Davies, Di Silvestri and some young reserve defender

  23. Thought i'd pop it in and reload my Aston Villa game where i was 6th joint points with Man.U who were 5th and Spurs were 1 point behind in 7th we were behind Everton in 4th by some bit.

Decided because it's Man.U i'll go 4-5-1 playing a team looking like this:

Neuer, De Silvestri, Mellberg, Laursen, Bouma, Young, Petrov, Van Der Vaart, Barry in DM, Maloney and Carew loan striker...

Dominate pretty much the whole game finishes 1-1 at Half Time and second half exact same story battering them but end up drawing 2-2 with them only having 4 shots on target against my 11 on target....

So pretty much in a bad run of form now and i've dropped to 7th due to Spurs winning. Drawn 3 games in a row and against pretty easy teams to who i should be beating in Bolton and Birmingham drew 2-2 and 3-3 so need to get my team to get a good result against Fulham going into an away game with Arsenal
