  1. So I went to the Cd release show for In the Arms of Providence. In The Arms Of Providence swims in the vein of Glassjaw and Every Time I Die while integrating the band’s own experimental, emotional, hugging and moshing atmosphere.

During the very last song of their set, the leadsinger came out onto the floor where the pit was and everything slowed down and as the song hit a real emotional point. Suddenly he stopped singing and he looked right at me and said, 'When this song breaks out, kick my ass.' Then turned to someone else and said the same. Once the song broke, the entire pit imploded on him, and it was chaos.

I ended up knocking him down, but then I picked him up and he literally finished the set with me holding him up and singing as people nailed us. It was such an intense moment.

After the song finished he was like, 'That was fucking beautiful.' Hugged me and then the show ended. It was pretty god damn cool.

  2. The diary I've been waiting for. I am mainly interested in seeing how one of your diaries will play out because I like you so much elsewhere. This was a great time to take the reigns, and from the look of things you are off to an alright start.

I will be checking in on this from time to time, and I really enjoyed the sigs used to hype this thing. :)

  3. Ryan reminded me of every other attractive chick I've ever met who tried to seem much deeper than she was.

"OMG!!!@!WTF!!!111!! I hate Pop music because I am a rocker! I am such a rocker that I was discovered on AMERICAN FUCKING IDOL. THAT IS HOW FUCKING, HARD FUCKING CORE I AM!"

News flash bitch, you are a POP rocker at best.

  4. For me the vocals, and the lyrics are what ruin that band. I liked the cut that some of the guys did with the Executioners, and Trent Reznor's cut of Points of Authority but other than that I can't stand much of their stuff. The music itself isn't that bad, but bands like Linkin Park are hated for the same reason people hated Creed, and people hate Evanesence... Their lyrics are horribley contrived to prey on the vulnerablities of stupid teenagers rather than actually lend something to relate to. Their music just doesn't have that visceral connection. It seems forced.

  5. I saw it last night and I thought it was ok. I sat next to an obviously far right wing conservative who threw a fit when they highlighted that Alexander was Bi-Sexual... he got up and left when it showed his nuts.

Oh well, more room for me and my girlfriend.

There was alot of blood in this movie, but I didn't like the direction they took with the digital squibs. They over used this effect.

As for Collin's accent, he is capable of doing any accent he wants but they did present him with a hint of english to him. I wouldn't say Irish though... But Jolie was awful.

  6. Alright here are the folk the I find worthy of the best frontman title.

    Geoff Rickly of Thursday

Now its time to wrap our fears in the night

And on the first day we'll dress this city in flames

After all the things you say

You hate me for being this way

Still you won't let go of old ideals

There is no headline to read at night

When the record slips and you're not holding the needle

We all sing the songs of separation

And we watch our lives bleed out through our hands

Thats how it was on the first day

    We saw Paris in Flames

    rain, rain down

I think it's going to rain, rain down

Here in this collapsed lung of a borough

    There is no sunlight

The sunlight is manufactured in a windowless room

    Distant and incoherent

    Businessmen hang themselves

The lower east side is a jukebox playing the deadman's crescendo

    The needle is a vector

An intersection that we all must cross

A dimly lit hallway where shadows of moths decorate the walls

    Discard this message

    Discard this message

    Burn the city down

    Discard this message

Throw this bottle back in the ocean

Rip this page from the history books

    Smash all the street signs

    Erase all the maps

    Forget my name

    Forget my face

    Forget my name

    Because it's going to rain

    And it never ends

  7. Push the hell out of Vick. For some reason I've always marked for that man. Whenever I play EWR for myself I put him in a team with someone like the Riggs incarnation of Anton, or someone with a grungy look like Aidan Nathans and calling them The Cure-- complete with a finisher called Social Distortion... ok but on to Dukes.

And most importantly, what in heaven's name is Chris Harvard doing on any roster in April 2001, before Tough Enough has aired even one episode?

    8. NIN- Hurt

    I have 4992 Songs... I want an Ipod. :(

  9. When I heard this I was set back. I listen to ODB everyday on the way to class. He is without a doubt one of my favorite rappers, a skillful lyricist, and a hero (see little girl under car). Definately one of my favorite characters of all time, Jones fathered 13 children, according to Blender magazine.

    Mister courageous O.D.B.

    You need to recognize he's a P-I-M-P

    You need to recognize

Rest in Peace O.D.B., Dirt McGirt, Big Baby Jesus, Osiris, or Rusty.
