  1. BORO OPEN TALKS WITH KLUIVERT

Middlesbrough have opened talks with Dutch striker Patrick Kluivert after he was released by Barcelona.

Boro's chief executive Keith Lamb has admitted the Teessiders are in the early stages of negotiations, saying: "We do have interest in him but any potential deal is at an early stage.

"We've made it well known that we are in the hunt for quality strikers and Kluivert falls into that bracket."

If he is on a free, Wenger better rush in and take him. Kluivert and Boro?!?!??!?!

  2. Wenger wants Kaka

    By PAT SHEEHAN

ARSENE WENGER wants a Kaka up the Arsenal.

The Gunners manager is poised to open talks with AC Milan for the Brazilian midfield wizard — who has been a sensation in his first Serie A season.

Wenger has publicly stated he is not planning any summer buys.

But, behind the scenes, Highbury chiefs are hoping a bid of around £15million will tempt the Italian champs into parting with the 22-year-old playmaker they signed from Sao Paulo last September.

The San Siro giants have the Samba star — real name Ricardo Izecson dos Santos — on a three-year deal.

But Highbury moneymen would finance any bid through their move to the club’s new ground at Ashburton Grove.

The champions plan to include executive and corporate boxes at the new 60,000-seat stadium.

And they will ask anyone wanting to buy one to cough up 50 per cent of the cost in advance. That would give boss Wenger a huge transfer war chest.

Kaka netted four times for AC in the Champions League. He also has four in 10 games for Brazil.

    :o:o:o:o:o

  3. There are fans of all teams like that.

Go ask 75% of Man Utd fans, and I am sorry, but that is fact, people wear Utd shirts even though they don't watch them. And if I was a Utd supporter, I would find that highlighy annoying

  4. I know a lot of Mancs and not one likes this deal. Should be interestng, the majority of mancs hate it, Leeds hate it. Funny really, and yes £7m is too much, he has scored like 40 goals in about 200 games and he calls himself a striker? Dennis Law was saying it is a bargain, sorry Dennis, it isn't.

Guess we will have to see though won't we?

  5. Barca sign Van Bronckhorst

Van Bronckhorst has impressed while at the Nou Camp

Midfielder Giovanni van Bronckhorst has completed a permanent move from Arsenal to Spanish giants Barcelona.

The 29-year-old has been on loan at the Nou Camp since the summer of 2003 after failing to seal a regular place in the Arsenal first team.

He had intended to return to London but has become an important member of Barcelona's starting line-up.

Van Bronckhorst has signed a three-year deal while the two clubs have agreed a personal settlement for the player.

Shame to see him leave really, we signed him for near enough 9m and he had the worst possible time at Highbury, I liked him, he is a quality player, great passer of the ball, but there is no room for him anyway.

  6. To be honest, that is a poor signing. 20m for a 31 year old, who will give you maybe one year of service. I can imaigne loads of people who have only seen his free kick against France are having an orgasm right now, he is, in my opinion, the most overated defender in the world, why sign him when you have Wayne Bridge? Bridge is so much better than Carlos, his tackle % is way better than Carlos', yeh, Carlos is good going foward but you need someone who is good at defending too, Bridge is OK going foward and brillaint defensively. Hopefully this means Bridge will get unhappy he doesn't play and leaves. You apparently want Davids now too, once again, you don't need him.
