Oh - and after playing an old Disc 3 file I've got... Kuja is one of the most awesome villains in the later games, not to mention that Dark Messenger/Immoral Melody/whatever it's called is an awesome theme.

For what it's worth, Pokemon Ranger is a surprisingly enjoyable game... The new Mystery Dungeon games are more of the same, and get old rather quickly...

Picked it up a couple of days ago for $5. I was pretty hyped about it. Then I started to play it. Firstly, some genius decided that Australians would get the 1.01 version, meaning it's unplayable out of the box. I check the support forums, and it says I need to update. Reasonable.

130-something MB (Read: 4 hours) later, it's ready to play. I make a character, and all that, only to have the game freeze when I try to talk to anyone. If I choose not to talk to anyone, I'm stuck in a room. Once again, I check the forums, only to find that the Australian version was shipped without a rather important file. That's annoying, but tolerable. Needs another update, it says. How big can it be?

154 MB, apparently, which translates to roughly 6 hours for me. So, ranting aside, is the game worth 300+ Mb of updates to play?

Find the Berry Master, and use the Pamtre berries. You should only need 4 PokeBlocks to max it out, depending on how good you are at mixing. The Master is like a sniper, only with candy instead of bulletty death...

I tried it a few times and most of the time I get flung from the car. Only managed one good launch out of about 20 tries and managed to make the rather rectangular Huntley sport into more of a T shape.

So..for someone that's only really played the Red version, what would be a good next game to play to get accustomed to all of this new stuff? I'm of the old school when there were only 150/151 Pokemon.

Milotic is such a tough pokemon to get. Once you get it though it only takes 600,000 exp to reach level 100. Maxing out beauty isn't easy though.
