It was on the box, so I recorded it tonight... along with Monk and Psych... Guilty Pleasures...

So I watched Memento, here's a couple thoughts. For one, I want to make sure I got the jist of the movie right, I was good until the end when things got whacky, and my DVD player gets shit after it's been running for a while and stutters and pauses and shit, it's fucking horrible, so here's what I gathered: Spoiler: Click here to viewSo really, the whole movie he was being set up. Killing Teddy was a mistake as he was really a friend in some respect. He had already killed the real murderer before, and Teddy was using him to give him somethign to live for and benefit off him, correct? Also, the thing with his wife (great little cameo from CSI girl Jorja Fox, or role what have you), what the fuck with the insulin? So his story about Sammy Jankis was his story? Was there a Sammy Perkis and a whole insulin situation? I'm confused because he tells the story as part of his life before the brain disorder, so why would he have it confused with his own life if he can recall everything before the night of the attack? That's really what got me. It was that scene where he just kills that guy and Teddy shows up revealing all this I got a bit confused, so do I got it right? Other then my slight confusion though, fan-fucking-tastic movie. I love movies such as this, thinkers, mysteries, etc.. I knew it'd be good because Chris Nolan is a great director and writer, but I was thoroughly impressed. It was a thriller, it was smart, well directed, genius and even funny when it needed to be. I loved such parts as (Pearce) "It can't be mine, I'm assuming they don't let guys like me carry these around...(walks off)" (Teddy)"I fucking hope not..." Or when he finds out who he think John G is and he just looks at the picture, "I found you, you're fucking dead now" Great movie overall, and great showing by Pearce. I'm convinced now too more then ever that Pearce should be given the role of the Riddler (if there is one) and if they're smart and wait to reprise the Joker in a fourth installment, that job should be left to Depp. I think he could handle giving some honor to Heath's role rather then making a better off Riddler. I think Pearce could do that just fine. Plus it will stay somewhat in the mindset of using lesser known actors to shine on a big stage and awe us all. Plus I think Depp overall would be better suited to play the Joker. That was my thoughts, now I'm gonna go watch Almost Famous and take another crack at Memento once I find a DVD player that isn't total shit. If you were here quick enough you'd know why I edited.

Not really Batman related persay, but I just bought Memento to see this movie/Guy Pearce showing. I also got Almost Famous, love that movie. I wanna see what kinda show this Pearce guy can put on, plus I heard its a great movie.

Isn't there anyone that wants to jump in this spot? I've asked a couple people not in here that I know like hockey around here, but no dice. There's got to be someone willing to jump in.

Great job with this Gab, very enjoyable to read. I've seen all of these movies but Platoon and Private Resort. I've alwasy been told to see Platoon and as a movie fanatic I know my day will come. Actually I'm going to get a movie later tonight, but I'm not sure it's what I'll buy. I'm a wierd guy like that. But anyways I'm a fan of Cry Baby, I saw it on late night television back in the day. I LOVE Edward Scissorhands, fucking love it. Great flick. Looking forward to more, keep up the good work.

Rescue Me is back on in January, I believe. Nip/Tuck, is that shit even still on? They went to LA, I didn't follow much, but I don't know I would always give it a look or two. The Season with The Carver (2?) was fucking mint. Loved that shit. I smoked a fat blunt every night and the night where the chick acted like she got carved, and then she got surgery, and her anesthesha didn't work so she was talking thinking they could hear, but they're talking and they can't hear and they're slicing and dicing her and she's freaking out.... fuck man, was I freaking out.

I say tell him to fuck off. He should have like a probabtion for fuckin them over and makin our league look bad. He acts like he can do what he wants but now he's like oh wait, this league sucks, can I come back? I wish it was plausible to really give him probation, especially knowing he wants back, but if Bertuzzi only got what he got then there's no way they'll give him too much punishment.

I agree with IDM though. I found SoA to be... I don't know lacking is a good word I guess. I mean, I was very torn. I was into the premise, biker gangs, bad ass, ya know. But I just felt like it was being to much more then it was. Or it wasn't coming off very well. I think I need to watch it again, but I really just was not into it, and I'm a huge fan of all television. I was very disappointed. But yes, lets not forget about It's Always Sunny. I fucking LOVE that show. It's classic. Hilarious shit. I was on PSD the other day and they have mini-clips in thread. One was where they get the cop car and act like cops, while Charlie plays the undercover Al Pacino (I believe from Heat). Also the one where Charlie gets kicked out of the band and he starts huffing paint. Dennis finds him in the dark and then they come up with the ever spectacular "Day Man" (fighter of the Night Man). Another classic clip, Charlies working as a dress-making sweat shop lady. Great stuff. My shit though is Rescue Me. I love that show too, very great show.

Except for Cole and Rukirama, because they left their yahoo ID's. I got some errands to run, so when I get back I'll PM everyone the info if necessary.

I could post the Yahoo list and keep track of the results in the first post. That way when its someones pick they can just go back to that post and see what's gone down. Of course, if the list isn't updated, you might have to look back at the two-three posts ahead of you to see who you can't pick that isn't on the list.

So my mom got me two tickets to any Rangers game I want at the Garden this year for my birthday. By far my best present, since I've only been to one pro hockey game in my life. I mean, Ottawa and Buffalo came to Bingo to play exhibition, and I saw Hossa (who was one of my favorite players at the time, and he had 2 goals and an OT winner) and a couple other guys, but still not a real game. So any advice on which game I should go see? I'm thinking I'd like to see Montreal play them...
