TheModernWay - I'm a big fan of simple and it works. One question. Is that a golf ball in the background?

Lord Nibbler - This ones my favourite, don't really know why, but the for some reason it just screams Basketball

Overall, would I use them as a wallpaper? No, but only because it's not my style.

I'm Australian, I have an interest in some american sports, it is fairly hard to follow over here without cable and I prefer the Hockey and Football to basketball.

but in saying that, I like the rules, I enjoy creating something that I don't know a lot about, adds to the challenge

The John Morrison 'Ryan Shane' one is one of your better graphics, simple main cut and faded secondary is a nice technique to use, simple but looks quite good.

The hazy smoke effect looks quite nice too..

I how ever don't like what looks like teeth behind the main cut of JM and the text leaves something to be desired. I myself struggle with text, and when I first started it was just easy to get a cool looking font from dafont and throw a stroke on it... Over time I found out its appeal is lost quickly.. try some font tutorials or even a simple nice font like a 'Helvetica, or futura' and mess around with some effects such as gradients, drop shadows, satins and bevels. You might surprise yourself

I really loved your concept with LastFM, man. Its like DMN said, it was a take on surfing a sound wave that I never even thought of.

And again, like I told Rocky, I'm always down man. One of you guys can come up with some rules or a deadline or something and lets get it rolling.

EDIT: Uh, will we need to start a new topic for a new battle or just keep in this one? I'm unsure as to how we should do this.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to give my final verdict. Been feeling like shit.

Moving on to nufan's graphic, some of the things I like about it are also the things holding it back. I like the idea of going with an ad for a radio station, it's a take on 'surfing a sound wave' that I never would have thought of. Unfortunately, in execution, it came off rather bland to the eye. Solid and simple is good, and means it won't be bad, but its missing that spark, whether it be a color that stands out, or a font choice, whatever, to make it stand out.

That is why I'm going to give this battle to Drew. I said I would judge this purely on aesthetics, and his is the more eye-catching graphic. Good work by both of you, though, it was pretty close.

Thanks for judging DMN, yeah I should have read the rules a bit clearer.. to be honest I was stumped to think of an idea before jumping on lastfm and it just clicked. I have been doing a lot of professional styled ads lately at work and seems to have carried over to my personal stuff lol

Is Crystal just a shifter? Seems a little odd since her dad condescendingly referred to Sam as a shifter a few episodes back. I'd find it more interesting if the panther was her true form and she can shift into a human.

haven't seen the ep yet, but is it def a panther... a friend was speaking to me before the ep aired and said he thinks jesus may be a jaguar styled shifter... read this and thought maybe he was correct
