  1. I thought Sharp was the better name brand and the Aquos are rated second to only the Bravia's or is that only in the bigger sized TV's?

the only difference in the two is possibly price and the LG edges them out on Dynamic Contrast Ratio at 80,000:1 vs 50,000:1

  2. Looking to buy a new 32" LCD TV for my room and for gaming (PS3)

found a Sharp in australia for $1000 with a $100 gift card, could probably get them down a bit further

and a LG retailing at 1200 but the guy at the store said he could do it for $950

here is a link of the TV's

    any help would be appreciated

I like the Sharp name brand better and we have the 46" version in the theatre room. but I think the LG has better specs

  3. not sure if it should but ill put my theory in spoiler tags

I had a thought after the first three episodes that Lundy could be the Trinity killer, as in it's a split personality that he doesn't know of as you hadn't seen the two together.. obviously goes out the window as you see the two together and Lundy is now dead.

ohh and Fuck Me! this season just got awesome with the revelation Trinity is.. well normal. I would also like to see him survive this season or possibly instead of Dexter killing him, have him put in jail instead.

  4. harsh but fair supertabs

they look a lot like my earlier works from when i used fireworks.

try different things, tutorials, make your own cuts, try blending.

nevermore nightmore is a good example of progression, he has now found his own little thing, while not overly hard to do it is still very effective.

  5. Is it just me, or are the colts playing some scary football at the moment.

quite a few players injured, only one noted WR in Reggie Wayne and they are dominating. Wayne hasn't been thrown to half as much as you'd expect but Manning still keeps putting up huge numbers.

I for one just hope he can keep up the form in the playoffs for once

  6. Your choice of cuts is pretty good, not sure if ur doing them urself or getting them from a psd site

but the text is pretty average, too much outline on them and the backgrounds are really not that great

    try learning some blending too

hope this little advice can help. feel free to comment on my works as I too need as much advice as i can get

  7. I'd agree with Lukie on this one, if it is going to be an active news site then just go the professional sleek look with some good style sheets to make it easy to update

I too have been struck by the creative bug in my school days and made my years portfolio in the form of a media player... and it was a pain in the arse to update and what not.

but if its just like a one time thing then the football thing would work still

  8. I agree with the lack of good quality TNA photos available. I like everything about your graphic except the gap. like you said maybe it could have been smaller or the blending done better, not really sure but that's the only short coming that really throws it off for me.

1 more vote and you will get the clean sweep nufan lol :)

Think your a bit of a victim of circumstance, you went first and did the text on the billboard... which I was going to do until it was clarified.

round 2 is on with the CD contest tho :-P

  9. Really like that believe one mate, nice choice of font which has seemed to be your downfall.

i am also liking the thin black lines up top and bottom it just gives it something.

You have come along in leaps and bounds with your designs and brushwork.

Still i'd like to see you try something different, you seem to just be using one picture putting a gradient/colour effect over the top with a brush. But they look good

keep it up and don't be afraid to mix it up :D

  10. Ok not sure what kinda design you guys are usually into, but let's go something different

You work for a design agency working for the MARS corporation, your job is to create a new ad for M&M's promoting a new product.

Almond M&M's, M&M bubblegum, M&M Aftershave what ever you have free reign.

don't have to use the rules just thought itd be something different

  11. To be honest, I'm not real fond of either of them. I'm not a big fan of the placement of Abyss/Styles in Doc's and the blending isn't all that great as it just looks like a splotch of area with a body in it (if I'm correct?) and then the idea for Nufan's is good but there being a huge gap between the faces doesn't look good and like Nevermore_Nightmare pointed out, the image quality isn't very good. Also, the text placement doesn't really make sense as the names should at least match up with the faces but you have Shelley's name on the side with AJ's face and vice versa, especially considering that I would assume that Styles would get top billing because of him being the main eventer so his name should probably go first. And the blur doesn't really look that great either, to be honest.

All that said, I'll have to vote for Nufan, if nothing based off the idea he had with it as opposed to the actual execution.

Thans for voting Livid, just to clarify on a few of your points, the faces are missing because I tried to doing it similar to the original face off poster, perhaps the gap is too big. and the picture quality is pretty poor, but I just couldn't find any decent TNA pics out there. And finally the name thing I did because I thought it was an inside joke on posters to never have the names match up. Check out movie posters and you will see what I mean.

    Con Air

    Oceans 13

and plenty more, so that was just a tongue in cheek kinda thing.

Once again thanks for the vote, and hope I cleared a few things up for you :-D
