I'm another considering getting a Wii U (for Mario Kart, Donkey Kong and Super Mario Bros) as reviews are seeming really good. But the one thing holding me back is the game pad. Do you have to use it or can you use just the controller? Do GameCube and normal Wii controllers work?

They have to drop him, as to recover psychologically from that game in the space of a couple of days is near impossible. Joe Hart was dropped and he came back in time.

Everywhere you turn on the beach here, you are offered cocaine or weed.
If I was even remotely interested in drugs, it'd be fantastic.

It's weird here seeing the USA fans getting out-patrioted. By the Christ the Redeemer yesterday, a mix of Ghana, Mexico, Chile and Colombia fans were having banter (oh God, sorry for using that word). Some US fans came all USA! USA! but slinked away after seeing everyone else.
There's fuckloads of Argies here. I've only seen one Swiss fan.

For Luke Shaw, it was 2010.

The best part of yesterday was throwing paper planes. >_>
Mine didn't go very far, but the man behind me's plane landed on the pitch!

Fuck off, Lineker, this thread is for swopsies only.

£70 win will do me nicely. Shame Atletico lost though.

When the ball hits the goal, it's not Shearer or Cole......... ITS ZAMOOOOOORA

This may have been answered, or is a stupid question, but...
With Man City's restrictions, what's stopping them saying "Oh, we'll buy X player, but we'll pay £5mill upfront, and then £20mill every two years"? Surely they'd escape the rules that way.
-
The Belgium squad looks really good.
I'm very out of touch with the Serie A these days, hardly know any of those players.
Nasri deserved a place.
-
The Bale money was horribly misused, I think that will cost them in the long run.
I really disagree. Chiriches and Eriksen have been great. Lamela is an incomplete. Paulinho was fine - not up to expectations, but not awful. Soldado wasn't good, but didn't really get a fair shake under Sherwood. I think that group of players will be fine, and I think they'd have been fine under AVB.
I think for Soldado, it was more personal reasons affected his move. His wife had a miscarriage at the start of his move to England, and she wants to move back to Spain. Whilst I'm sure he's a professional, that will affect his game.

First official squad is in, and it's Honduras (Yay Bluey?)
Goalkeepers - Noel Valladares, Donis Escober (both Olimpia), Luis Lopez (Real Espana)Defenders - Brayan Beckeles (Olimpia), Arnold Peralta (Rangers), Emilio Izaguirre (Celtic), Juan Carlos Garcia (Wigan Athletic), Maynor Figueroa (Hull City), Victor Bernardez (San Jose Earthquake), Osman Chavez (Quingdao Jonoon), Juan Pablo Montes (Motagua)
Midfielders - Luis Garrido (Olimpia), Roger Espinoza (Wigan Athletic), Jorge Claros (Motagua), Wilson Palacios (Stoke City), Oscar Boniek Garcia (Houston Dynamo), Andy Najar (Anderlecht), Mario Martinez (Real Espana), Marvin Chavez (Colorado Rapids)
Forwards - Jerry Bengtson (New England Revolution), Jerry Palacios (Alajuelense), Carlo Costly (Real Espana), Rony Martinez (CD Real Sociedad)
It's a very logical squad - a mix of experience, youth and players who are in-form.
There's nobody really there who you can say doesn't deserve their place, which doubtless will be the case for England, and they could certainly pick up a point or two in the World Cup.

I've got £4 on Selby at 10/1.
Amazing!
-
Don't worry, Liverpool, we will beat Man City.
Carlton Cole hat-trick.
-
Gerrard is going to cry again.

I don't mind it usually but I think Selby has gone overboard in this match. I certainly wouldn't watch snooker if I had to watch frame after frame of this every week.
He was 10-5 down and is playing to win. If tactical play helps him get there, it won't be overboard.

Was I supposed to be more impressed with True Detective than I was? Outside of the fight sequence, and a few awesome bits in the finale, it seemed to really drag on.
One more episode of Fargo to watch (which I absolutely love!), then I've downloaded the first season of Rectify, first season of Silicon Valley, first season of Orange is the New Black.... and I will finally watch Breaking Bad.
Any other recommendations?
