Now I am at the point that I can say Croatia "deserves" to win this, but only because of that stolen goal, not because they played so great.

Neither of those teams looked like they can stop a motivated Russia from advancing to the semis.

Denmark surely have the advantage now - psyche wise.

I did not know that. Still seems unfair, that was a sure goal and then it was nothing.

The first 5 minutes promised a game the second half didn't deliver.

Yeah, I guess "deserve" was the wrong word to use there.

This World Cup!

I like Denmark, but Croatia derserves to win here - and should, judging by group stage performance. But then again, this has been the craziest world cup since 2002, crazier even, so who knows what'll happen.

Looking at the developing brackets so far, I'd say England and Belgium both should actually play to make the 2nd place in their group.

That's not a team that will beat Brasil 7-1 again if they meet in the round of 16.

I don't know when this weakness on finishes/getting goal opportunities started or what caused it. You  could blame it on Klose, Schweinsteiger and Lahm retiring after 2014, but both qualification and Confed Cup went pretty well, Euro 2016 wasn't bad either.

They all just seem really nervous and without any ideas.

Being a Germany fan was a lot more easier in 2014.
