6! A double for Giroud.
-
4-3 now - this is an amazing game so far. Guess it'll be 4 all by the 78th minute.
-
3-3! The defending for most of these goals today has been dreadful.
-
Great goal by Chamberlain, but poor defending with no-one challenging Podolski and then giving Cazorla all the time in the world to find Chamberlain.
-
Castle - Never watched it, although a friend has the Season 1-3 boxset and I've been meaning to borrow it.
New Girl - Love it, although I'd watch anything with Zooey Deschanel in it.
Modern Family - It's good. My wife watches it religiously and she thinks it's the funniest program ever along with The Middle.
The League - Never seen it - don't think it's on in the UK and I've never sought it out to watch by other means.
30 Rock - Watched the first series, but that was like in 2007 wasn't it. Forgot about it after that and never felt the need to go back to it.

I've got JDS, Boestch and Duffee as well. I remember when JDS debuted, he had really crazy odds. He was something like a 7/1 or higher, rank outsider against Werdum and I had £15 on him winning having watched a few of his fights before he got to the UFC. Think those are the longest odds I've ever seen before or since on a UFC fight.

Just got back from the game; that's the best game I've been to since we beat Liverpool to stay up in 2000. Hopefully we get Leeds in the semi's so I don't have to do much travelling. Saying that we'll probably get Swansea and I'll end up having to travel to Wales midweek which will be a 560 mile round trip. Either that or we get Chelsea which is about a 400 mile trip.

Managed to get to the Championship with Gateshead and stay there after three straight promotions.
Finished 1st in the Blue Square Premier with 107 points, thanks to a prolific partnership struck up by Jon Shaw (35 goals) and Pablo Counago (43 goals). Then finished 2nd in League Two with Counago (20 goals) again being the main reason. Jon Shaw struggled in League Two with only 2 goals but managed to bring Joe Garner in who scored 14 goals in 22 goals firing us into promotion. Then despite a crap start in League One, we went on a massive run after Christmas and somehow managed to finish second. Counago had aged and wasn't scoring, but Ibrahima Sidibie who was brought in the summer was on fire netting 27 league goals.
Had a rough time in the Championship, sitting in the bottom three for the entire season. Not surprising since the annual wage budget was £2.1 million, £2million behind the next lowest team. Despite being in the bottom three all season we managed to somehow scrape a 1-0 victory over Bolton on the final day of the season to stay up and things are looking up for the next season. Managed to make a £4million profit through the low wage budget, £3million of which has been added to the wage budget for this season.
Have managed to strengthen the squad greatly and five games in the league we've won four and drawn one. The Premiership better get ready for Gateshead.

Wow, that looks so...crap. At least I've saved £40 now.
-
I'd buy that for Christmas - well download it and give it to the wife.

Would Hendo be able to get inside with Jones' crazy reach advantage though? Jones would just pick him apart from range.
-
So now the question is, who can beat Jon Jones?
I think the most likely culprit (just as with GSP and Silva) is himself. The fame hasn't gotten to his head yet (though it could), but he's already following that Greg Jackson gameplan of being an extremely tentative fighter who fights not to lose rather than to win. Somewhere down the line, I could see somebody who wouldn't beat Jones under normal circumstances just exploding on him and picking up a fluke victory a la Matt Serra.
More immediately, it's hard to find anyone short of an Anderson Silva superfight or Jones moving up to heavyweight. The reach advantage eliminates most strikers except for those with one-shot knockout power, like Liddell or Houston Alexander levels, and even then it's just a *chance* at beating Jones. We've seen him handle great wrestlers with ease. Rashad is a maybe because who knows what he's really picked up from training with Jones. But I'd say the most interesting candidate would be somebody like a bigger BJ Penn - somebody who can hold his own in striking and has top-level BJJ. We've never seen Jones against a strong BJJ fighter who's had a chance to use that BJJ.
Does anyone in UFC right now fit the bill? Not really. Vitor Belfort's probably the most interesting matchup, stylistically, because he has the BJJ background and will be in Jones' face right away standing, but I'd never bet on Belfort in that fight. Just don't know who else is out there.
I couldn't see anyone beating Jones that is currently in the Light Heavyweight division. He doesn't seem to have any weaknesses what so ever - maybe his chin could be but that is yet to be tested and he did take a good shot from Lyoto. Rashad would need to get him to the ground and I don't see Rashad's stand up troubling Jones enough to even think about setting up a take down. It's probably going to be a while before we see someone with enough tools to beat Jones come along with Jones improving with every outing.

Stephane Dillane has been cast to play Stannis in season two which I'm happy with; he should do a good job. I was impressed with his role of Thomas Jefferson in 'John Adams'. Only qualm I have is he could be a little on the scrawny side as I always pictured Stannis a little more broad shouldered.

Hell Yeah, WAR BROCK!!!

Damon Lindelof also discredited the theory that the survivors will experience, or have experienced time travel,[48] although has since allowed for the possibility in regards to Desmond Hume.[49] Furthermore, Lindelof has rejected speculation that spaceships or aliens influence the events on the island, or that everything seen is a fictional reality taking place in someone's mind.[48][50]

Regarding who I think'll die
I'm thinking Charlie, Kate and Tom will die out of the people who have been around since the first season. I'm hoping Tom doesn't though, I really dig his character. I've got a feeling Bernard will go too but not Rose. The guy with the mustache from the Others who was watching Sayid whilst he was tied to the swing will bite the dust too.
Also I reckon Karl is going to be shot by someone like Sayid. We know from the promo he comes to the beach warning everyone the Others are coming, I think someone's going to kill him regardless before they figure out he's there to help them.
I don't think Ben's going (at least not this season), there's still so much to do with him. Plus I reckon there's going to be some sort of power struggle between Ben and Locke in season four. I think Jacob has chosen Locke as his new golden boy and Ben knows it. That's why he got so freaked when he learned Jacob spoke to Locke.
-
Anyway, episode 20 is called "The Man Behind The Curtain" and it's a Ben episode. Makes me think we'll finally find out who Jacob is.

I wasn't overly happy with the episode due to the fact I can't stand Kiele and Rodrigo's acting. But all in all it was an interesting episode.
Did anyone else hear the smoke monster right before Nikki was bitten by the spider? It's very possible that the spider that bit Nikki was a manifestation.
It's also interesting that everyone who buried Nikki and Paulo is now pretty much a murderer giving the smoke monster a good reason to judge them like it did Eko. Everyone else had already killed someone (Sawyer, Charlie, Sun & Jin) but this is the first time Hurley has been connected to a murder.

LBTN, would you mind posting the URL so us non donators can see your entry?

A team with Barry and Lennon starting and no Gary Neville in it, sounds like a team I might actually want to win.
It seems lately every time England have played I've had this urge to see them lose. The squad selections and tactics recently have been so dire I haven't even been able to get into the matches. Thankfully this time, it seems injuries have forced McClaren to put out a half decent squad that I'll be able to get behind.

I believe it returns on April 23rd for the last six or so episodes of the season.
It's a hell of a long wait.

That was a hilarious goal. We'll trip him, allow him to stand up and then let him score.
