  1. It's pretty hard to single it down to one as I like a whole range of music. Game Theory by The Roots is probably my favourite Rap/Hip Hop album at the moment and would come close to being my favourite as would Violent By Design by JMT and Common's Be. Then there's the American Recordings by Johnny Cash which is my favourite series of albums, especially Solitary Man and The Man Comes Around. Then there's The Beatles with The White Album and Revolver. Then there's my favourite rock/grunge etc albums Rage Against The Machine (RATM, Evil Empire) Nirvana (Nevermind) and Soundgarden (Superunknown).

It's pretty hard to choose between all those but in the end I'd pick Superunknown by Soundgarden as I grew up on that album. Black Hole Sun is my favourite anthem and I still play it once every couple of days now.

  2. I can't understand why HBO are pushing that they should be in charge of the show in regards to production. I know they do it for boxing, but this is a different animal. If it were up to HBO we'd probably end up with two boxing announcers who know jack about MMA.

I'm still wondering with it being an English card whether it'll be on PPV to test the waters over here. The last couple that were on PPV before the deal with Bravo didn't do all too well but UFC has exploded since then. Then again I suspect the contract with Bravo prohibits it being on PPV and it should air for free.

Plus, I'm looking forward to the White vs. Ortiz fight. Hopefully it will be priced in the $9.95/$13.95 region or something then I might just buy it. It'll be interesting to see whether White will be able beat Ortiz. He used to be a good boxer and it's reported he used to school Ortiz during sparring sessions.

  3. It all depends on whether or not a sale goes through. Under the current management I can't see it surviving. It's never going to make money in the US without a strong media outlet and with UFC tying HBO up, there's not much left (I think the last couple of PPV's have done around 50,000 buys). They're tied to contracts that cost them too much to carry on running the way they are.

It needs someone to buy it out who can hopefully get them back on decent footing in Japan and back on a strong network. White has said he wanted to buy it to get back up and running in Asia. With the price that was going around being quoted at $10 million it'd be worth it for Zuffa just to buy it so they could use the tape footage to hype potential new fighters they'd pick up.

  4. Bearing in mind that Sony loses money on the actual PS3 console, and they make their money through the games, they are going to charge £39.99 for games. £10 cheaper than the 360. How do Sony work these things out? How do they tie their proverbial shoes in the morning?
  5. Tim Sylvia vs. Randy Couture - Submission, 2nd Round

Chris Lytle vs. Matt Hughes - TKO, 1st Round

Drew McFedries vs. Martin Kampmann - TKO, 2nd Round

Rich Franklin vs. Jason MacDonald - Submission, 2nd Round

Jason Lambert vs. Renato Sobral - Decision

Rex Holman vs. Matt Hamill - Decision

Jon Fitch vs. Luigi Fioravanti - TKO, 1st Round

Gleison Tibau vs. Jason Dent - Submission, 2nd Round

Jason Gilliam vs. Jamie Varner - TKO, Round 1

The Sylvia/Couture fight is hard to predict. I really want to see Couture walk away with the title (then again, I don't want to see him to get killed by Cro Cop in his first defence) but if Sylvia brings his 'A' game and brings the sort of defence that saw him stop Monsoon taking him down then he's got this. Although Couture should be able to do better and I was impressed with his match against Ronaldo Souza when he took him to a draw. I see Couture taking Sylvia down in the 2nd and getting the submission with a choke.

  6. Yeah 'Company Man' is probably the best episode there has been so far this season. Not going to spoil anything by saying too much but I do really like the Mr Bennett character and you should get a better feel as to whether he's a good guy or bad guy tonight. All in all a top notch episode.

So, how many episodes we got left before Peter explodes?
  7. Previously, we saw The Ultimate Warrior make his triumphant return to WWE RAW.

Now, The Life & Death of The Ultimate Warrior continues.

Warrior walked through the curtains and into the Gorilla position breathing heavily, he was out of breath and out of shape. A month or so earlier he’d been in great shape and got through the Rumble no problem. Now it seemed he couldn’t go five minutes without blowing up. Warrior fell back into a chair and was congratulated by a couple of people for doing a decent job out there. He was then approached by Vince McMahon.
  8. Don't know where the van comes from, but we can take it that Vincent finds it and leads Hurley and Charlie to it as he finds a key on an arm that he finds.

It looks like one of the VW models from the 70's. Maybe there was some kind of infrastructre on the island at one point or something. It'd be pretty hard to drive around in that thing if there wasn't?

Anyway, the next few episodes all look to be top notch. Especially Sayid's, plus we've got the potential game changer episode coming up that Damon and Carlton have mentioned. I can forgive the last one as it was just tying up the Alcatraz storyline.

  9. I haven't ordered one for release because I'm happy enough with my 360. I'll probably get one around October time if I can be bothered.

Although I do wonder how the sales are going? They seem to be going pretty slow at the moment. Amazon said they'd stop taking pre-orders once they'd sold their allocation and you can still order them, even though they've been on sale a week or two now.

My local Woolworths still has around 60% of their stock allocation available for pre-order according to a friend and GAME has around 30% left with under a month left to launch.

I think a lot of people pre-ordering a few are going to get burned this time around with the PS3 as you'll still probably be able to pre-order with most places until a few days before launch.

  10. Wanerlei Silva vs. Dan Henderson - TKO, 2nd Round

Takanori Gomi vs. Nick Diaz - Decision

Hayato Sakurai vs. Mac Danzig - KO, 3rd Round

Kazuo Misaki vs. Frank Trigg - Submission, 1st Round

Kazuhiro Nakamura vs. Travis Wiuff - Decision

Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou - Submission, 2nd Round

Mauricio Rua vs. Alistair Overeem - TKO, 2nd Round

Joachim Hansen vs. Jason Ireland - KO, 2nd Round

Sergei Kharitonov vs. Mike Russow - TKO, 1st Round

  11. Previously, we saw how the brunt of the Vince McMahon and The Ultimate Warrior meeting went.

Now, The Life & Death of The Ultimate Warrior continues.

26th February – Live RAW Taping

Warrior arrived at the live RAW tapings in Fresno twenty minutes late. His excuse of ‘I needed to find some fresh natural yoghurt’ fell on deaf ears, seeing as he had a fresh supply waiting for him there. Warrior had seemingly forgotten about this part of his deal and was quite ecstatic when he found out. He insisted on eating two bowlfuls before he went over any plans for the night.

Once he’d finished his two bowlfuls of natural yoghurt with freshly squeezed lemon in it he met with the writers Brian Gerwitz and Tom Chehak as well as producer Tony Garea who would be overseeing his actions that night.

  12. Since all those shows are happening within two days of each other maybe we could pick one fight off each card (probably the one with the best known fighters in it). Saying that though, I don't think I've heard of any cards being announced for any of these shows. The only things I've heard is that Duane Ludwig should be taking on Shinya Kamazuwa on the ROF card and Ryo Chonan should be on the DEEP card, although he hasn't done much recently. I think he's lost 3 of his last 4 in PRIDE.

So yeah, waiting for the next PRIDE show is probably best (Silva vs. Henderson & Gomi vs. Diaz should be interesting fights) as UFC 68 is just one week later on the 3rd IIRC.

  13. Gregg Nations, one of the Lost Script Coordinators said that this site was unofficial and had nothing to do with them or with ABC over on thefuselage.com. The website appeared a couple of days before the show aired with a countdown that didn't quite work properly. It is quite well done and the bulk did appear just after it aired but it is unofficial.

The biggest clue about Mittelos is that Carlton and Damon said it was an anagram that would be a good clue. The anagram is Lost Time. Take from that what you will but it seems time is something central to the show as evidenced by Not In Portland.

Not only was Aldo reading A Brief History of Time, the audio in the brainwashing scene played backwards says 'Only fools are enslaved by time and space'. You can hear the audio here.

  14. Main Card

Frank Shamrock vs. Renzo Gracie - KO, 1st Round (He'll knock him out like he did Cesar, either that or it'll go to a decision)

Antonio Silva vs. Wesley 'Cabbage' Correira - KO, 1st Round

David Loiseau vs. Joey Villasenor - TKO, 2nd Round

KJ Noons vs. Charles Bennett - Submission, 1st Round

Gina Carano vs. ??? (I have no idea) - TKO, 2nd Round (She's obviously being positioned to win so I don't see a strong opponent, plus she's looked strong on her previous outings.)

    Prelims

Seth Kleinbeck vs. Riki Fukuda - TKO, 2nd Round

Bo Cantrell vs. Tim Persey - KO, 2nd Round

Adriano Periera vs. Javier Vazquez - Decision (Adriano is the only guy I haven't at least heard of on this card)

Mike Pyle vs. Ross Ebanez - Decision

Edson Berto vs. John Shackelford - KO, 3rd Round

There's not a lot of named fighters there, but all are pretty decent and have showed potential. Should be a good card for exciting fights.

  15. Thanks for the feedback. Firstly, I'll be booking a game in TEW 07 to run alongside this once a decent stat update is released. The game is not going to be gospel, it's just going to be used so I can keep track of things better. The full results of the shows won't be revealed but you should get a good idea of what's going on.

As for the updates so far I'm just working through what really is still pretty much an introduction. The quotes from various people will be ending pretty soon, well not ending, but they won't be appearing in every update. The next update planned doesn't have any. I think the one after does and then there's a pretty big gap. They should only occur once something out of the blue happens from now on.

As I've said before everything should start to pick up soon. I mean it's not much fun at the moment because we've got what is pretty much a sane Ultimate Warrior and I'm just working through the beginning trying to get everything set up. Once he starts to slowly start cracking up (which should be happening sometime between now and the first Wrestlemania) the diary should pick up.

The meeting before, the main bulk would have been made up of them going over the terms and obviously I didn't really want to include that bit now as it gives away what's going to be happening in future updates.

Believe me, I've got some seriously ambitious stuff planned for this diary that should shock and amuse you. Plus, everythings going to be worth it once the main payoff comes with the ending which I and Ollie (the only other person who knows how this is going to play out) both agree is probably the greatest thing ever.

Once again, thanks for the feedback. It's much appreciated.

  16. Previously, we saw how people reacted to the return of The Ultimate Warrior at the Royal Rumble and how he responded to the fan boys criticisms.

Now, The Life & Death of The Ultimate Warrior continues.

    Two Weeks After the Rumble

It was a mildly hot day; the temperature was nothing too severe but Mr. Warrior was sweating his socks off in his bright yellow suit as he sat outside Mr. McMahon’s office waiting for their all important meeting. If all went well today The Ultimate Warrior would be back in the WWE and entertaining the millions of fans around the world. Now when contract negotiations go ahead you usually have someone present to oversee the proceedings. Warrior wanted none of that; he wanted this to go ahead on his own terms and nothing else.
  17. Previously, we saw The Ultimate Warrior make a triumphant return to the WWE by making it to the last four in the Royal Rumble.

Now, The Life & Death of The Ultimate Warrior continues.

Following are various opinions about The Ultimate Warriors return to the ring at The Royal Rumble.

    Vince McMahon

“We’d been in talks for a couple of months. The deal was first brought up when he came to the office to agree upon an out of court settlement over the DVD that we’d recently produced. He was claiming we’d made him look bad, which we didn’t. We just told the truth. He wanted money primarily, but he also wanted a return to the WWE. We offered him a spot in the Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant. It was supposed to be a one night only thing. He turned it down at first and then came back saying he’d accept if he was put over strong. So we put him in the final four.”

    Jim Ross

“Some sort of a deal was cut and I was surprised to say the least when I heard of the plan to have him get to the final four. It was preposterous at the time. I was surprised by the fans reaction to him and he seemed to get an adrenaline rush from it and performed competently. He took his chance and he ran with it.”

    Michael Cole

“I remember him coming out, it sent a shiver down my spine. It took me back. I can just see him now pumping his arms, those huge muscular arms up and down as he came out.”

    Pat Patterson

“He’d been quiet that day. We’d gone over what we wanted him to do a number of times and he kept coming back with suggestions. It seemed like he’d turned a new leaf as he eventually went along with everything we said. It was too bad that didn’t last too long.”

    Mark Calloway a.k.a. The Undertaker

“We’d done stuff before. When I saw his name on the sheet it was a shock. But it felt damn good to eliminate him. Gladly, I didn’t have to deal with him much when he eventually blew a gasket.”

    Vince McMahon

“He came back through the curtain after he was eliminated and he just slumped into a chair. Everyone thought he was going to have a heart attack, he was that red in the face. I don’t remember much about that night. I did congratulate him about putting on a great performance in the Rumble as he sat in the chair. He just grunted back and got up and headed for catering.”

    Gregory Helms

“I was in the same room as him when he went online that night. He wanted to see what people were posting on his website about his performance. He saw people were ripping on him and that most were making fun of him for being on steroids and joking that it was good it was for one night only, otherwise he’d have been fired when he was tested. He went off on this rant, going after one guy in particular. It was hilarious watching him.”

The Ultimate Warrior rants about not being on steroids

“I just finished watchign the RR and I’ve got to say they made a mistake having Warrior go to the final four. Why would tehy give that roided up freak a spot in the final four. It’s rubbish. They should kick his ass out with the wellness project.”

Look, just because you’ve failed in your miserable life doesn’t mean you can go out of your way to make defamatory comments towards a fellow human being the way you did. I say human being, but I don’t think there’s any conceivable way you could be from this planet at all. Look at your spelling, your grammar. It’s appalling and I have no doubt you’re just a snotty nosed 12 year old kid, high on coca cola and mints. I’ve seen the videos; I know what you kids get up to these days. I’ve seen numerous comments about how I shouldn’t have been in the final four at the Royal Rumble but let’s face it, I’ve got staying power. People still love me out there in TV land. All those people out there that were jumping up and down when I came out certainly have a different opinion to you, the little kid who hides behind a computer screen. Ultimate Warrior equals SUCCESS, Vince McMahon knows it, I know it, millions of people know it and deep, deep down you know it as well but you’re too afraid to admit it.

The steroid comments though, those are what infuriates me the most. Let me tell you something, all you delusional pieces of fairy cake. I’ve worked hard; I’ve sacrificed my body everyday since I was called up about coming back. I put my body through hell, something a man nearing 50 shouldn’t do to get back in shape. I watched what I ate and I worked my ass off in the gym which is more can be said for your exercise regime that consists of getting up off the couch to grab another bag of chips from the cupboard. If you want to throw mindless insults out at me, at least do it to my face so I can watch you run away in terror when I respond and threaten to knock you out cold.

For all those people out there that actually enjoyed my performance and were glad to see me back I’m very thankful to have such great fans like you. Hopefully you’ll be seeing more of me soon.
