  1. Boston will be a good team. Paul Pierce, Ricky Davis and Gary Payton. Not to mention... VIN BAKER! Well, in the East anyways.
  2. *11 points for teh Ghost* Max Kellerman: Next topic boys. [OOC: Hopefully we get the topic finished before a trade actually happens ]
  3. Yes, NBA Ballers is a great game, some parts of it are hard though. I was Ben Wallace in the TV mode or whatever it's called and I was against Yao Ming. It was the first to win, but you had to do something special to end the game (some kind of dunk or something) and I didn't know how to do it, so it was like 93-87 when I turned the PS2 off, in a game to 12.

  5. If there is another NFL Street, I haven't heard anything about one, but I assume there would be one. I would rather there be a NBA Street Vol. 3 before a new NFL Street.
  6. I think Tammy has a good last set, Alonzo owns all your souls, and John was funnier in the beginning with the "real cell phone" thing, but I didn't think the "we gotta go girl" was very funny. Meh. GO ALONZO.
  7. Max Kellerman: Another nice argument by RBD. Eight points for ya RBD. Last argument Ghost?
  8. Vince pushes for Knick deal BY FRANK ISOLA DAILY NEWS SPORTS WRITER Vince Carter's agent revealed yesterday that the All-Star swingman met with Toronto Raptors management two weeks ago and asked the club to explore trade possibilities. "We did meet and asked them to look into trades," Mark Steinberg said in a telephone interview. "They know where we stand." Steinberg would neither confirm nor deny reports that Carter is trying to orchestrate a trade to New York. Last week, a person close to Carter told the Daily News that he "absolutely wants to be traded to the Knicks." Raptors first-year GM Rob Babcock has stated publicly that Carter, who has four years remaining on his contract, will remain in Toronto. Still, the Knicks and Raptors have had had preliminary discussions regarding Carter and would likely have to include a third or even fourth team to make a deal. Knicks president Isiah Thomas has let it be known that under no circumstances would he trade point guard Stephon Marbury, which makes it all the more difficult to pry Carter from Toronto. Tim Thomas could be included in a potential deal, although Isiah Thomas has strong feelings for the player he acquired last February for Keith Van Horn. In all likelihood, if the Raptors were to trade Carter, they would want some of their high-salaried players (Alvin Williams, Jalen Rose) included in the deal. It's hard to imagine the Raptors trading their most marketable player to the Knicks and to Thomas, the former Raptors president who had a falling out with Toronto's ownership group. The Knicks can only hope that Carter puts enough pressure on Toronto to force its hand. Shaquille O'Neal and Tracy McGrady forced their teams to trade them to Miami and Houston respectively. Of course, both players had leverage because they were entering the final year of their contracts while Carter's deal doesn't expire until after the 2008 season. Dampier just visiting? Golden State free-agent center Erick Dampier met with Knicks officials yesterday in New York and said he would be willing to sign a one-year deal for $5 million. However, Dampier's agent, Dan Fegan, said that a one-year deal would only be a "last resort" because Dampier would not be eligible to sign a more lucrative deal with the Knicks until he spends three seasons with the club. Dampier had opted out of the final two years of his contract worth $16 million. Trying to work out a sign-and-trade with the Warriors, the Knicks have offered Kurt Thomas and Othella Harrington. The Atlanta Hawks have an advantage because they can sign Dampier outright. "The mid-level is definitely something I would consider if a sign-and-trade doesn't happen," Dampier told MSG Network. " I would sit down with my representative and my family and put some consideration into it." Crawford raises asking price Amid rumors that the Knicks are unhappy with Jamal Crawford's demands for more money, a source indicated that the six-player deal with the Bulls could be finalized today. Crawford's agent, Aaron Goodwin, is looking for a more lucrative contract than the seven-year, $56 million offer the Knicks have on the table. Of course, that is also the only offer Crawford, a free agent, has received from any team. If Crawford were to turn down the Knicks, his only option would be to return to Chicago for one year at $3.5 million. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/story/219052p-188387c.html Some of it's old news, but thought it should be posted...
  9. It can't be a lottery pick until 2007.
  10. Max Kellerman: NICE argument BnBH. 11 points. *RDB* let's hear your thoughts on No-mah.
  11. **9 points awarded to slimg** Max Kellerman: Good points there, but the Cubs can't rely on Prior, he has shown this season that he isn't fully healthy, and Wood is a healthy kid anymore either. BacknBlackHoez, why don't you give us your opinion?
  12. Max Kellerman: Welcome boys and girls, to EWB Around the Horn. ESPN fired me, so now I'm back taking their idea and hosting the Horn once again. Let's introduce today's competitors. Here's today's competitos: slimg, BacknBlackHoez, *RDB*, and GhostMachine. The first game we play is "The First Word." This is pretty simple, each contestent gets two replys to make their points, and I'll award points in between. Here's the first topic boys and girls. slimg, you start us off.
  13. Yeah, I'm going start a new episode. New contestents. 1.) Slimg 2.) BacknBlackHoez 3.) *RDB* 4.) GhostMachine
  14. Max Kellerman: Good argument Ghost, 8 points. Anyone for a last argument.
  15. Ghost Machine, you can take Cole's place. Jump on in.
  16. (OOC: "ESPN fired me, so now I'm back taking their idea and hosting the Horn once again." Opening of the show .) Max Kellerman: So your saying the NFL needs more players like Ricky Williams who quit in their prime and leave their team up a creek about one or two weeks before training camp starts? Of course the Dolphins still have recognizable players on their team. They still have one of the most dominate defenses in the league that casts Zach Thomas and Junior Seau at the linebacker positions. But I agree, it is horrible for the NFL that Williams retired. Five points for 4J. Let's here from the Killer.
  17. 7 Points awarded to Hyder Max Kellerman: Your right, last year Feely threw for thirteen interceptions, and only eleven touchdowns, but things change in time. Heck, the Dolphins defense might be able to be the best thing in Florida next to Shaq Daddy! Quadruple J, let's here from you.
  18. Portland has a bad reputation, and he probably doesn't like the management there.
  19. Max Kellerman: Welcome boys and girls, to EWB Around the Horn. ESPN fired me, so now I'm back taking their idea and hosting the Horn once again. Let's introduce today's competitors. From Edison, New Jersey welcome Ayaz Hyder. Hyder gives a weak wave, and Kellerman continues. Max Kellerman: Next, the man with the longest name ever; Johnny Joe Joe Juinor Slimadoo, from B-town Massachusetts. From down South in Texas, welcome Cole "I'm Gonna Kill You" Killingbeck. And finally, Nick Brummer from the NBDL capital of the world, Huntsville, Alabama. The first game we play is "The First Word." This is pretty simple, each contestent gets two replys to make their points, and I'll award points in between. Here's the first topic boys and girls. Ayaz, you start us off.
  20. Okay, hopefully you've seen the show on ESPN. If you haven't ATH is a talk show-type show where four sports analysts from all of the USA compete for points awarded by the host. Points are awarded for good points, three for an excellent statement and two for a good one. You can also be muted, which takes away a point and mutes you for ten seconds. The first thing I need is four people here that are willing to talk about pretty much anything in sports. Basketball, baseball, football, hockey, golf, whatever the topic happens to be. If we don't get four soon then I'll leave signups open and the first episode will be tomarrow at about this time, maybe a little earlier. So, leave your name and where your from. 1.) Ayaz Hyder 2.) J.J.J.J.S. 3.) Cole Killingbeck 4.) Nick Brummer
  21. Blue is my favorite, just because it was my first one to beat without Gameshark. Now it seems like I can't play a game without the shark. ITS AN ADDICTION!
  22. Well, I wansn't going to get Fire Red and Leaf Green until now. I had no clue that the newer pokemon were going to be in it also. This rules, and I'll be picking up my copy along with GTA3 and GTA Vice City. . I wonder what the new versions will be...
  23. Cleveland is one of the stupidest basketball franchises out there. First they get rid of Ricky Davis, then let Carlos Boozer get away from them, now Ilgauskas. Bleh, Cleveland sucks, they should have taken Darko .
