  1. So, anyone attending the annual Chili Cookoff in DC? It's May 16th, there's going to be lots of chili, apparently. Oh, yeah, and not to mention some good bands:

    The Offspring

    Third Eye Blind

    Papa Roach

    Puddle of Mudd

    Shinedown

    The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

Winner of a local battle of the bands contest...

Should be a good show, wondering if anyone else is in the area and attending?

  2. There are a few bands on there, but I've also seen probably 8 or 9 of those bands. Doesn't seem worth it. Buck Cherry was really bad i saw them last week w burn halo, who was pretty meh, avenged sevenfold, who was really good, and Papa Roach, who puts on an amazing show. I've seen Shinedown a couple years ago and they were good. Blue October was pretty good too. Sick Puppies are fun, and hurt plays an awesome show too. but i also want to see pop evil and chevelle really bad. I've heard that Slipknot isnt good live. Motley Crue is blah in my mind, and idk if i wanna see a remade AIC. hmmm...could be worth it for the secondary bands, but i'm not too excited about the headliners really.

When did you see Avenged Sevenfold, Buckcherry, Papa Roach, and Burn Halo? I saw them in Hershey, and I agree with your opinion of the concert.

Anyway, can't get anyone who is willing to put out the money to go, guess I am out of luck :(

  3. I don't have a problem with it at all, doesn't seem to do that for me. Evan Bourne is easily the best character in the game now. The sheer amount of moves that have been animated specifically for him means that it just feels like you're actually playing as Bourne. It's almost like the good old days where every wrestler seemed to have their own animated moves, instead of just generic ones.

I love playing as Bourne, his flying headscissor take down is awesome, I think. Especially great was when I hit the shooting star press off the top of the Elimination Chamber onto Mark Henry to win the ECW title.

  4. United States billboard number ones...

    MARCH 24th:

    1984- Van Halen "Jump"

1985- Phil Collins "One More Night"

    1986- Falco "Rock Me Amadeus"

1987- Club Nouveau "Lean on Me"

1988- Michael Jackson "Man in the Mirror"

1989- Mike & The Mechanics "The Living Years"

    1990- Alannah Miles "Black Velvet"

    1995- Madonna "Take A Bow"

1997- Puff Daddy f. Ma$e "Can't Nobody Hold Me Down"

1998- Will Smith "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It"

    1999- Cher "Believe"

2000- Destiny's Child "Say My Name"

    2001- Crazy Town "Butterfly"

2002- Jennifer Lopez f. Ja Rule "Ain't It Funny"

2003- 50 Cent "In Da Club"

2004- Usher f. Lil Wayne and Ludacris "Yeah"

    2005- 50 Cent f. Olivia "Candy Shop"

    2006- Ne-Yo "So Sick"

    2007- Fergie f. Ludacris "Glamorous"

2008- Usher f. Young Jeezy "Love in this Club"

    2009- Flo Rida "Right Round"

Fuck yeah, three of the greatest songs ever recorded were number one on my birthday, the ones in bold.

Man, if I look back before I was born, there are some awesome ones on March 24th. "I Love Rock n Roll," "Rapture," "Another Brick in the Wall," and "She Loves You."

Still, nothing beats Crazy Town, Snow, and Falco!!

  5. Save up some cash and buy tickets, the hotel stay or whatever could be worked out I'm sure. I mean as I said, it was about 120 total for my two day field tickets.. seats are a bit cheaper, maybe around 45-50 per day. Some hotels around Columbus are a measly 50 a night or so, even around the outside of Columbus. So depending on what you could eventually swing could end up just a bit over 200 for the trip which is mighty good. Just really depends on what your income situation is I suppose.

Another way to easily cut down cost is to invite 3-4 other people and split everything four ways. Get a hotel for that one night at 50 bucks, that means you only pay 12-14 dollars for the night, then splitting gas, and all that. Just trying to help you think of cheaper ways to attend.

And on a random note: Saw Shinedown last year, very disappointed.

I saw Shinedown last year in Penn State and agree, they were pretty bad. In their defense, they had several technical problems. Granted, SOiL and Godsmack had no problems so I don't know why they did, but alas, they did.

It's more a matter of getting enough people to get that weekend off, my friends can be a bit prudish when it comes to money...

  6. Headliners: Slipknot, Motley Crue, Alice in Chains, Korn, Avenged Sevenfold

Secondary: Shinedown, Buckcherry, The Used, Flyleaf, Chevelle

The Rest: Atreyu, Blue October, Saving Abel, Saliva, Stactic X, Hoobastank, Billy Talent, Black Stone Cherry, All That Remains, Trapt, Rev Theory, The Sick Puppies, Crooked X, Cavo, Pop Evil, Framing Hanley, X Factor 1, State of Shock, Drive A, Charm City Devils, Burn Halo, The Leo Project, Halestorm, Adefifas Way, Early Pearl

I would love to go to this. I live in PA, I have entered to win tickets (HA, yeah right), but I am just so poor right now. Seriously, I want to see all the headliners, all the secondary, plus Atreyu, Blue October, Saliva, Static-X, Hoobastank, Billy Talent, Black Stone Cherry, All That Remains, Trapt, Rev Theory, Pop Evil, Framing Hanley, and Burn Halo.

    Damn, that would be awesome.

  7. I don't get to listen to music as much as I'd like to, but anyway, here we go...

    TOP ARTISTS:

10: Garbage (Bought their greatest hits album, just listened to it a lot when it came out.)

9: Linkin Park (I have a crapload of their songs on my computer, so I listen to them a lot when I put my player on random)

8: Thrice (They're four disc set came out this year, listened to it a good bit)

7: Apocalyptica (Actually only listened to the two or three tracks with singers, so this is kinda impressive)

6: Avenged Sevenfold (I was on an Avenged Sevenfold kick earlier in the year, not to much now...)

5: Chevelle (After I was slightly disappointed with their previous album, their newest one was awesome, still listened a lot.)

4: Atreyu (I like them since I've started to be able to understand them, heh heh.)

3: 12 Stones (12 Stones is one of my all time favorite bands, so yeah.)

2: Red (Red is officially my favorite band of the year, they put on a kickass live show, and are just awesome. Their plays would be a LOT higher if they had more than one album in the past 3 years, and I can't wait until February 10th.)

1: Authority Zero (I heard that the lead singer quietly released a solo album, which resulted in me finding out they released an album last year that I didn't know about. Started listening to them like CRAZY again).

    TOP SONGS:

    10: (TIE)

Cinder Road "Should've Known Better" (Meh, they're local)

Scary Kids Scaring Kids "Faces" (Started to love SKSK this year, they're awesome.)

9: Avenged Sevenfold "Afterlife" (Ugh, Avenged Sevenfold kick)

    7: (TIE)

Lifer "No Need" (This song is kinda old, but it's possibly one of my favorite songs ever)

Apocalyptica "I'm Not Jesus" (Corey Taylor can do no wrong...)

    5: (TIE)

Five Finger Death Punch "Never Enough" (My roommate is obsessed, so I listened to them a good bit)

There For Tomorrow "Pages" (Friend introduced me to them through their myspace, love this song)

    3: (TIE)

Atreyu "Falling Down" (Read their band info...)

Chevelle "The Fad" (Read band info, again...)

2: Dropping Daylight "Apologies" (Almost saw them live in '07, bought their album, just listened to this song a lot...more than I thought, I guess.)

1: Red "Already Over" (No surprise here, for me, I love Red and everything about them...)

    TOP ALBUMS:

10: Skillet "Comatose" (Man, I must have been on a Christian Rock kick last year, and I'm not even Christian)

9: Garbage "Absolute Garbage" (Yeah, Greatest Hits!!!)

8: Scary Kids Scaring Kids "Scary Kids Scaring Kids"

7: Lifer "Lifer" (Yeah, that's mostly due to "No Need")

    6: Apocalyptica "World's Collide"

    5: Operator "Soulcrusher"

4: Nirvana "Nirvana" (Again, probably a Greatest Hits reasoning right here...)

3: Linkin Park "Minutes to Midnight"

    2: Avenged Sevenfold "Avenged Sevenfold"

    1: Red "End of Silence"

  8. Ok, so a few years ago there a band that had like a hit single, rock band, that I want to find again. The video was like kinda darkish with the lead singer (guy with dreads) jumping around (wow, I now a lot of detail) similar to this Nonpoint video:

I know it had some fuzzy TVs in it too.

The only two bands that come to mind with that description are 10 Years (doubtful, not near as hard as Nonpoint and Skindred) or Ill Nino.

  9. I just watched the two new episodes online, and I must say, Ed is possibly one of the best characters ever. Plus, I couldn't stop laughing at all the guys with balloons on their wrist...

  10. I continue to wtach Prison Break and I continue to become more and more confused. It seems they open up new storylines without explaining the last lot of happenings every flipping episode.

So now we know their mother works for the Company. The same company who originally framed Lincoln for a crime that put him on death row. Surely if his mother was company she would've prevented this? Plus, if she's company and she has scylla. Why has the General hired Lincoln (who was attempting to steal Scylla from the company in the first place) to steal Scylla from their mother who is Company to give it back to... the Company. Bwhaaa? Unless he did this intentionally to keep him busy whilst trying to brainwash Michael into working for the Company. Which also didn't work, so I don't have a fooking clue what's going on now.

Also. Bring back Kellerman. I KNOW he isn't dead. He just ISN'T.

In the episode, when Michael was talking to the guy trying to brainwash him, he asked that if his mother was still alive why did she try and kill Michael. The therapist said that she was in Somalia, I believe, and had no phone service and didn't know what was going on.

As for the mother, sounds like she is leaving the company and trying to get the card for herself and get the money that it is worth, and he doesn't know she is the one who stole it. Because Gretchen didn't seem to know who Scofield's Mom was, she just knew who the guy they sent as the buyer was.

I think the General wants both Lincoln and Michael working for him, but only Linc is going to fall for it, even after their mother is trying to get out. It's confusing, but that's just what I think, anyway.

  11. Okay...

I saw this video on MTV last night, but the assholes didn't show the name of the song and now I've forgotten anything in the chorus :(. So, the lead singer has a white blonde hair, so it's a band. I'm pretty sure one of the lyrics was talking about how "she didn't think I was trying". The video features the guy playing piano at the start, before moving into a rock sort of style. Also, the girl is in her underwear half of the time.

I think that's the new one by Secondhand Serenade, but I cannot remember what it's called.

  12. Batista defeated Lance Cade rather quickly. Batista started off strong, but got caught by a reversal and Cade had the advantage for about a minute. However, once Batista got back to his feet, it was all downhill for Cade. Ended up getting pinned after a Jackhammer.

  13. Still trying to bump into each other, I work third shift, so I get home at 9 AM eastern and stay on until 10ish eastern, and Chamber says that is around 11 PM, 12 AM, or 1 AM, so I dunno, we're still trying. He said it'd be easier for him to stay up until then on weekends, so I figure sometime this weekend everything should be finished.

  14. Me and Chamber are still trying to work out time zone. Looks like we've found out that if I get online at 9 or 10 in the morning, and he gets on at 11 or midnight or 1, we can have our match, so both of us are going to be trying that some days this week/weekend. We should have our match done by Sunday, hopefully.

  15. My opponent lives in Australia, our time zones are ridiculously different. We have been talking on here and on there, but it is VERY hard for us to meet up. We will try as hard as we can to meet up, but it's very difficult because it's basically going to mean one of us probably has to be up in the middle of the night...

  16. My first concert was Godsmack, Staind, Cold, and Systematic sometime in 2001. I was 16 or 17, couldn't drive, and the only person I knew who was into that kind of music was my sister, so I took her since she agreed to drive.

Godsmack and Cold were fuckin' awesome.

  17. I was thinking that if someone on the Xbox picks HHH, then HHH is gone from PS3 as well. The idea of doing it like this was to make it feel like one big game rather than a PS3 league and an Xbox league. So B-Rad, I have you penciled in as Evan Bourne, but you're open to changing it if you'd like.

I'll stick with Evan Bourne, I'll just have to wait until he becomes downloadable, which is fine with me :)
