  1. Ive got alot of Neil Young and Ramones Albums. Neil Young because, well, hes released over 35 albums, got the Metallica back catalogue too so thats probably up there.

From my youth i have all of the Korn albums, and have made an effort to get the latest ones they do even though i have no interest in them, just because I like a full collection.

  3. should of put a bet on last summer, they were the three headliners I said would be there.

Possibly slightly more wishful thinking when I proclaimed Beastie Boys as well but still.

All The Cure need is Pixies supporting them and it'll be Just Like Heaven ( see what I did there? :shifty: )

  4. i went from 2003 up until 2010, gave it a miss last year (knew it would be shit, but still depressing as i live literally 3 minutes from site and can hear it all).

I think up until 2005 it was brilliant, was full of like minded people who enjoyed good music and having a laugh, each year the line up got a little bit more radio 1/nme ish and the kids in the leavers hoodie become the majority and the atmosphere died a slow horrible death, as the people who go are there just for the sake of it, and are only there for the Kings Of Leons and the like.

This year I can guarantee you will be full of 16 yr old chino wankers, and At The Drive In headlining the NME stage to a crowd of 13 people whilst some dross like Kasabian will play a turgid set in front of 60,000 mongoloids.

  5. So glad that Mcdermott has stayed. Makes sense, new owners, a club and squad with bags of potential, he's been with the club in some capacity for over 10 years, and we're on a roll and could realistically be playing prem football next season, whereas he can go to Wolves and potentially go down and tarnish his rising reputation.

  6. Been to Download far too much, and seen pretty much every band thats ever gunna come through that festival.

If you want heavy go to the first night of the ATP:I'll Be Your Mirror event at Alexandra Palace. Slayer, Sleep, The Melvins and Wolves In The Throne Room. What a stoners treat! Plus Big Business are probably likley to play too seeing as their around europe at the time and members are in The Melvins.

All that for 39 quid too!

  7. With the new Russian owners, Reading's transfer window has gone into overdrive in the rumour mill, so far i've been hearing the following rumours

    Lewis McGugan

    Jordan Rhodes

    Billy Sharp

    Jason Roberts

Roman Pavlyuchenko (?!) although that won't happen now as i've just seen spurs have signed him to another year

  8. Thames Sports Investment Ltd, a newly-founded private investment company, are very pleased to have signed Heads of Agreement with Sir John Madejski on Friday to acquire a significant holding in Reading Football Club.

Our agreement is now subject to due diligence and the normal procedures from the Football League.

The transaction is due to complete in March 2012, but the Heads of Agreement, as agreed with Sir John Madejski, includes providing Reading Football Club with some limited funding now to enable Brian McDermott and Nick Hammond to strengthen the playing squad during this January transfer window. TSI have met with Brian, Nick and the club to begin this process.

TSI is also delighted that Sir John Madejski has agreed to remain Chairman of Reading Football Club until at least 2014, and to become Life President if and when he decides to step down.

TSI wishes to emphasise that Reading Football Club's management team will remain unchanged, as will the fundamental policies of the club, including prudent fiscal management. Since Sir John Madejski took over at Elm Park in 1991 this club has rightly earned a first class reputation, on and off the pitch. TSI value and respect the ethos and approach held by everyone associated with Reading - the Chairman, staff, players and supporters.

TSI's financial support aims to allow the club to retain its best players and acquire additional players as the football management team see fit. It will also enable the club to expand and further improve its successful Academy and scouting operations.
